Two cups of coffee(one for each eye), two pieces of rye toast, a couple smokes and a mound of marten in the sleigh... what an awesome 40 mins of wake up time in the morning with Norm on the line! Thanks buds, good haul. Better put some bush candy out for that fox before he eats up your fur. 😉
Hi Norm, haven't seen anything from you for awhile so I'll bet you have been cutting and hauling logs for your line cabin. I wish you well and am amazed to tell you that here in northern Alaska on April 20 it is sunny and 60 Above . What a beautiful spring. If you feel like sending me your address I'd like to mail a couple Alaska Trapper Association stickers for your cabin. Be well and enjoy. Dave Schmitz in North Pole, Alaska
Hey Norm, I’m so happy because you seem to be getting the blessings that you deserve and that’s great. Thanks for sharing your great experiences in the bush! 👏👏👏🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯
Good morning from northern Ontario. It’s been mild here. Snow almost gone. Nice to see you still have snow. Wish I was there. Great video, thanks for bringing us along.
Well what a treat today tagging along with you Norm. It brings me right back to my days in Northen Manitoba out & about on the tundra with my 12 elan. I knew a contracter who owned Snow Lake Trucking & would carry freight to communities like Lac Brochet, Shamattawa & York Landing. He and I became good friends & he would saty at my place when he was in Shamattawa. Really nice guy. They often flooded the Gods River to get the semis across. Lots of fond memories from those days. Thanks for this.
Hope all is well with you Norm. Getting a bit worried about you. I sure hope you are OK my friend If you you are not having any issues and just want to quit this channel then I understand and I want to thank you for giving us such a great ride. I have never enjoyed any other programs like yours. I could watch it all the time in fact I recently started again from your first show Many I have watched 5 times. Thank-you Norm and I pray that you are OKand that all your family is well. I hope you got lots of skins and better than that I hope you got that dam fox 🦊 😂 God bless you my friend.
Glad your efforts are being rewarded with such a successful season so far! You spoiled us with a little longer video, thank you for that Norm!! Stay safe & healthy!!
@@truenorthliving9557 I know it's a lot of work for you but the longer the better Norm! (If I, as well as many others re-watch many of your videos, that's a compliment as to how enjoyable they are!)
Excellent show Norm! Nice to see the tent shack back up and congrats on your success on the Marten. You are sure catching those rascals. Thx for sharing the adventure and we'll be waiting for the next one! Take care Brother
I getting worried Norm about you. I hope you have someone to check up on you. Your such a great guy and have done so much for us. Maybe you have moved to another avenue and I didnt notice where you went. I hope that you are ok and that you just decided to give the ride up. If anybody knows if Norm is on another platform then please let me know. Thanks.

Once again , a great vid Norm .... Thanks for bringing us along , I'm really enjoying your channel this year . It's the first time in 20 years I don't hace a trap out due to our fires last summer , and watching your videos sure help out alot ..... Keep them coming . Thanks Jim ....
Another great video, thanks Norm, it looks like you are having a pretty good year and catching quite a few Martin. Good luck and be very careful, stay safe.
Norm. Two things from this video. The first you may already know. The “old” people around here used to season their stoves with pork fat, similar to a frying pan. A friend’s grandmother used to keep an actual pig’s tail for this purpose. This keeps the stove from rusting and it looks nice and black. I would try it on an inconspicous place to see if you like it. There would be some smoke of course. Second. I have been watching quite some time, and that view of the tundra at the start has become a familiar sight. I feel like it is a view from my cabin, and would certainly miss it if you stopped showing it. It is funny how something like that leaves one with a comforting feeling. This is, of course, another fine video.
Nice video Norm. WOW if I could take my youth back I'd luv to go to Canada. Back then they wouldn't allow all the Riff--Raff into Canada like these vagabonds drifting everywhere these days. Hope you git a lot of fur.😊
Hey man, you are looking strong and getting your work done very well. Some fine Martin…wow! Perhaps you are fully recovered ?Best of luck for the balance of your season.
Some great looking fur martens are a beautiful animal so many colors variations,,, have you thought about taking your carcasses & making a bait pile for the wolves & wolverine & set snares and footholds? I would love to see you catch some wolves or wolverine but you sure are putting it on those martens keep it up brother stay safe and warm!!! 👍
hey Norm, you could get yourself a young wife and help you around the homestead. I know lots of guys 40 to 80s with young loyal wives. You live in Gods Country, who wouldn't want to live there.
All good thank you, I just wasn’t into RU-vid anymore after my laptop and editor was giving me grief. After I fixed it all I just couldn’t get back into it. Working on a video now here and there. Hopefully be up in a week. Take care
another great vid norm looks like a great day on the line lots of fur, makes it worthwhile, are those small holes in the canvas in the tent frame?, she getting older lol
No fun getting sled stuck in slush, Michigan's lower peninsula is mostly ice free on our lakes. No snow to speak of in u.p. Michigan. Terrible winter. Take care have fun
Glad to hear from you my friend, you video as you can, I will still be here Norm……take care and stay well………trying to get my garden up and going but it appears as we have some of your winds here in South Jersey now…….unrelenting and cold, c’mon summer……….dave
Why don't you make the sled yourself? It will be way cheaper. You're a well-made handyman. My friend used to make and sell for 7 to 9 hundred, just a thought for you to think about instead of 2 grand
