Big Sean opens up, and shares some personal stories on his mental health journey, and some of his lows and highs throughout the last few years. He also shares classic stories about Nipsey Hussle, Dave Chappelle, purchasing legendary musician Slash's house, and the struggles with COVID-19.
The Detroit native also breaks down the makings of some of the tracks on his album. His album 'Detroit 2' is available now.

You can tell Sean is so genuine and he’s opening up for real. His voice is shaky at some points, being vulnerable is a strength. Thanks for the inspiration man. Peace.

@@hunchovari but he didn't say she was toxic he said he found himself in toxic relationships. That could have meant any of his relationships. In the song he and Jhene did together "None of your concern" he also said "you know I had these issues when you met me". I think Jhene was not the problem the fact that he may have jump in a relationship so soon after Naya, God rest her soul, and then Ariana was probably the problem and the fact that Jhene still had some healing to do because of her struggles. I dont think they were toxic for one another. I think it may have been too soon for both of them to jump into a public relationship

Real Life I would just like to go on comment to say this on here, since I watched the interview before listening to Detroit 2, that Big Sean album, especially the record FEED got me working again, its like the vibe in me to work just got lit again. Seriously the album isn't normal and I remember Big Sean saying he articulated what he needed at the time in his life, and he mentioned upliftment as one of those things and for me that was what I need and to be real I got it. Detroit 2 was well done . at a point I didn't know when it moved to the next song like I had to keep checking me phone to see if I was still listening to the same song. Well done Big Sean and Well done to Hot 97. I am a huge Fan of the show. Thanks for all that you do Jah Bless.

Sometimes we dont know what we're missing until its presented to us. This is true artistry. When you want to, are compelled to, put YOU, in your art. Not just punchlines and clever metaphors, but real, meaningful content. Its relatable. Its things that we as humans go through without trying to pretty it up as to not appear vulnerable. Its relatable, its raw, its DOPE. I love this album forever. The other "artists", (I dont think they should be called artists but thats just personal opinion), they just see a way to make money. Which theres nothing wrong with in a capitalist world. But its just content free, shallow, noisy, good for the moment, bs, but Detroit 2 is something you go to when you want to hear, feel, and relate to whats really real. I cant praise it enough, mainly because it has somewhat single handedly, brought me out of a 3 year deep deep depression, reignited my passion for the art, brought me back to the faith I lost, just good good music. And I just never expected it to come from whom it came from. Thank you so much Big Sean, for being, and sharing, YOU.
