Inspired by Bald and Bankrupt to do a train travel video, I took the train from Fez, Morocco, to Rabat, the nation's capital. Whilst on the train, we met some friendly Moroccan ladies before arriving to Rabat and exploring the depths of the city. More to come from Rabat, Morocco! Salem Ale Koum!
AVOID Nouzahotel in Fez!

Adventure Elliot is a bilingual travel vlogger (English and Spanish) with a particular interest in the Spanish speaking world. I enjoy taking adventures - big or small - and my goal is to show the Spanish speaking world 1 video at a time.
The goal of my channel is simple yet complex: I want to document and share authentic & educational content of anything related to Adventure Travel, Geography, & Language in the Spanish-speaking world. It's kind of a loaded topic, but it allows me to never exhaust my creative outlets. The truth is, I've always been extremely passionate about what I'm doing on my channel, but I never properly documented it when I started adventuring as a younger man in my college years. I've made over 150 RU-vid videos in both English and Spanish, and I have aspirations to make 1000s more. If that sounds interesting to you, join the community and follow me along the way.. After all, we're just getting started.

Special thanks to ALL the Moroccans throughout the world who've written me with positive comments, tips, and suggestions. There are still 2-3 videos left in Morocco - which I think you will all like. Additionally, I live in Spain, so it will be very easy to return to Morocco and visit places like Tangiers, Casablanca, The Sahara, Rif, Chefchaouen, Agadir, etc... On a different note, I'd like to know what other countries in Africa you'd all be curious to see? It's been a dream of mine to see Equatorial Guinea as Spanish is the official langauge there - but Africa is a HUGE continent. Take care everybody!

By the way the girl in the train did not say she wanted to get married. She was responding to your comment about having a baby. She was saying to have a baby you have to be married. Be culture sensitive and don’t interpret things the wrong way.

In Morocco they say Habibi only for ur beloved woman that u have love feelings & emotions so it’s especial!! One Other hand in Middle East People Use Habibi for ur beloved woman as Moroccans do plus in Middle east they use Habibi in general for men , women for everyone & does have to be Especial!! But the word Habibi Moroccan are using it not as u said it’s not used in Morocco but as i explain

Elliot, never sexualise women in Morocco, it gets us really upset and cringe. Especially when your friend was pushing the discussion towards partying then having a baby. I understand it can be fun having a train chat, but shouldn't be layed here on the Internet and used for the thumbnail. BTW She was talking about marriage when your friend kept insisting on the American Moroccan baby desire, one doesn't come without the other she seemed to say, don't make it look like they're craving for foreigners enticing others to do the same.

100% sister. Barakallahu feeki! i believe elliot means well but culture differences are not just found in religion, food and clothes as many ppl believe. I have been blessed to have traveled a lot and I always try to understand what is appropriate and what is not before visiting a country bcs respecting that will increase not only the quality of your experience but that of the locals by multitudes. That's what you want bcs I hear travelers talk about countries they been in and being treated bad but what do people expect when you dont respect the locals and their culture? Ps this wasnt aimed at elliot in specific but for everyone that is thinking about travelling in the future. The experience a person has in a country tells us more about that person’s mannerism and actions than it tells us about the locals.

That was ironic the way you interpret it! And the man who asked you if you are muslim, i think it is because of your beard! He wasn't forcing anything on you i'm sure of it! I learned my lesson and I’m not mad at the Moroccan people.. it was one bad hotel owner who took advantage of the situation. The hotel employee didn’t speak good enough English and she was so sweet and innocent which I think the owner takes advantage of. Also, I was excited to spend that 350 dirham on local businesses and make a video but I had to be more strict with the budget after that.

The best experience of being another country is trying out your language skills, even if very rudimentary and having lots of fun with misinterpreting things and getting lost! I've travelled all over the world this way. It's funny, occasionally terrifying, often hard work but always entertaining. We've frequently ended up in random places by accident and had the best time as a result.

Morocco does not have laundromats, it's not really a thing. Either people hand wash, use their own machines or if they can afford it, they send their clothes to dry cleaners and the price the hotel told you is actually very fair and normal for 12 pieces of clothing. These places also have very high quality machines. Personally, whenever I travel I hand wash my clothes in the bathroom most of the time but that's probably because I am used to it as a moroccan. I have however used laundry services in south east Asia because of how cheap they are (not the greatest quality wash though). I've only ever used a laundromat once in Europe (Spain) because I had no time.
