Wierd story about Woodie in my bring up. I moved from Russia to the East bay when I was young. My older brother showed me woodie. I loved it, real ass shit. Then I started to hang out with this one skater who was down with Woodie's family and told me about how he died (correct me if I am wrong); The guy said that Woodie died because his clip fell out and he got badly beat. His pride aparently told a friend to pull the plug. Please correct me if I am wrong. Now I live in Norway, but his songs sung so deep to my heart as a moving child from place to place and I really never felt he was fake at all. Tried to show my friends his music but they never understood it and took it for another gangster. I dunno, it's just awesome to see his name pop up again. Took me back. Forever, he is my favorite rapper. He cared. Jah bless. Norway is so different from the bay in a good way though but damn Woodie and the legends I heard about him will always live with me.
The story your talking about is he showed up to a high school back in the day trying to pop someone and his clip fell out and he got stomped out. Shit happens doesn’t make him no less. He fucked up. My older homie went to that high school. It was just a lesson learned. He didn’t die that day
