Lady got stuck on some grass on a holiday event scouts event thing.. called her breakdown company to attend to pull her out, but after nobody turned up, she waited for the next day and started calling us for a quote etc as wanted her vehicle out, but circumstances I needed photos to understand what I was dealing with to quote on the job, rather than going in fully blind.
SOME TIME LATER from midday to about 16:30 over 4 hours later after lots of backwards and forwards she said her breakdown company attended with a 3rd party, but the recovery lorry got stuck and she rang us back straight away to give us the go ahead to go and get her vehicle out, as she knew it was going to be a long night!
AND thats what we did!
One call to GDB and the JOB GETS DONE.
Personally I wouldn't normally post another op stuck as im always happy to help where I can, but after having my toes stepped on too many times by the owner, it is what it is!
Its a valuable lesson learnt, and more training I would say is required.

From working for a contractor to now working for the big orange group, I've gained a lot of respect for you following this video. In no way would I ever have thought of taking a truck down that track, we'd have DMAX lads not drive down there, crazy.

Up until the muddy bit looked exactly like the goat trails I used to go down in a tandem axle tanker with 20,000L of gasoline in it.

Have driven 26t car transporter, going crazy places, but one moment here.. When hard ground ended.. I walk to see the situation and here I wouldn't even reverse mine in :) it's soft it sinks in 1 sec and road tyres become worse than on ice

Danger! Enjoyed the video BUT - when I saw you sit the shackles on top of your rear load area I winced at the lack of a cargo barrier. Then you appeared to put all the heavy stuff in the drawers and I sighed relief, but no!, there was a massive shackle behind your head the whole time just sitting on top of the drawer unit. In Oz if a worksafe inspector saw that video you'd be getting a visit Monday! Love your rig and equipment, but that's as dangerous as hell to not have a cargo barrier between you and those massive lumps of metal. Secondly, being in Oz, our 4wd actiion is pretty hard core and I've personally seen a tow hook break and come through the back window and embed itself in the cargo barrier - you are doing recovery for a living so more likely to happen if that dodgy threaded hook let go and shot straight at you. good job, we recovered one of there slidebeds out of a feld on christmas day by the A5 north wales. Had to get the Foden out for it 😆
