The trans can actually handle 1000hp its more so the horrific shifts its being forced to deal with flat foot shifting 3-4 is an insane amount of shock especially now that the clutch engagement was changed to a higher point thers more of a smack when u dump the clutch.

This is crazy to see because my g35 De motor finally blew up on the freeway with 309,000 miles stock trans and motor since 2003. Lost everything while driving and couldn't turn the car. somehow going 8,000 rpm at 70MPH?

I think you reached the modding potential of the G35 platform (no duh lol) I hope you get it running back, the car is a beast. But if your thirst is to go beyond this level of performance, I think your E92 M3 has a lot of modding potential/support and probably economically more feasible as well. I hope you keep the G35, but the M3 should be the platform to extend the performance limit. just my 2cents man, keep up the great content.

Thx bro, this happened on the low boost setting due to flat foot shifting it too much tbh, the m3 is good but can’t do high hp without spending the same 20-25k for boost and built motor and you still run the risk of rod bearing issues. Even then it wouldn’t be as fast or as reliable s the g in my opinion. M3 is good for like 600whp though boosted

Not gonna lie, a built and boosted S65 would be double the price and barely better performance wise, with worse reliability. Not saying it isn't a cool idea but your economic and reliability claims are incorrect.

@@k1ngkrush180 built boosted G35 with usd parts is 16k in mods (25k new) run reliable at 650-700whp all day long. M3 is a massive liability stock let alone boosted where it will make maybe 600whp and be slower and more unreliable than the g35. Cost of the car alone is more than the G build. And if it blows up the build vq costs almost the same as a stock s65

You should seriously consider getting an SFI Bellhousing or at least a Safety Blanket for the Bellhousing. High risk of leg/ feet injuries (amputations) if the Clutch explodes at those High Rpm shifts.

I am no where near your level of power but also grenaded my transmission once due to a crap clutch setup I incinerated the pressure plate into pieces which left holes in the bell housing. Lucky an easy fix I was able to take the trans to a shop for them to fix the bell housing and got a poper clutch setup this time.

That thing was fkn fast but the G wasn't in the countdown or brake boosting just chasing. The G should be able to pull that with a proper countdown. But that Rs7 makes like over 200more torque lol

The stock transmission is pretty good and can hold a lot. Many other combinations use this transmission but it’s not the best ever and won’t last forever. Pros and cons to everything. When you upgraded your clutch to handle 1000hp did you upgrade the flywheel bolt's and clutch pressure plate bolt's ? Arp everything when your pushing that sort of power and torque.

Not redlining but flat foot shifting way too many times, but more importantly I think it’s cuz we adjusted the clutch to engage high and this created too much of a shock on engagement.

What part would be toast because of that? Last time we took it apart the only thing that we had issues with was the weaker head gasket which was upgraded and the wrist pins which this time we also upgraded

@@Over-kill1 it's called a red line for a factory spec engine Mr engineer, we've upgraded the oil pump with a billet gear, race bearings, upgraded wrist pins, forged internals, upgraded the valve springs to keep up with the rpm as well and run a fluidampr crank pulley. I know of several other people running similar setups and not having issue due to rpm. But turns out we are gonna open up the motor just to be sure so I'll know very soon if thers any issues.
