Just yesterday, Tripwire Interactive released an enormous list of updates and changes for Deceive Inc starting at the drop of their new update Misery Empire. I thought I'd look through the list of updates and discuss the biggest changes coming to the game.

I’m very happy with this update, the heat is gonna be something to adjust to for sure tho. I’m really glad they’re nerfing air jumping, but I could just be saying that since I’m on console. Idk if it’s because the player base is so small right now or what but everyone in my lobby is always PC except for one other person. Everyone i fight is spam jumping everywhere all over the place and it’s not easy fighting them while using a controller. Overall i hope the changes will be nice and I’m glad the devs are actually listening

I feel like everyone is still gonna be jumping around like rabbits during gunfights tho.. I'm surprised they didn't lower headshot damage a little, especially since they're now making it even easier to land them.

Me too, they actually released agent patch notes yesterday and they buffed my main Larcin like crazy 👀

Me too, unfortunately they said splitting the queues even more would hurt their player base, so maybe it'll be a possibility if more people start playing. But duos is definitely something I'd love to see.

Would be nice if you can join trios as a duo, like in Hunt: Showdown.

@@Null-byte like when you que up in teams with one friend. Sometimes you won't get a 3rd. It's very random

Most of these changes seem great, but not sure how I feel about the revive mechanic. Especially if it's a permanent health debuff. Getting back up with only 50 health even if it's not permanent is already dangerous enough if your team is ambushed. I've been downed twice in a row before I could even react in a match due to either two enemy teams coming across us one after another that got the drop on us, or because the first team that down me or another teammate set up a trap and nearly instantly downed us again. The health penalty just feels off, but who knows, we'll have to wait and see how it plays in game to know for sure.

I definitely agree, and it makes me wonder if they'll eventually add a short period of time after being revived where you can't take or deal damage, giving revived players with less health a chance to escape before having to jump right back into a fight again. But sadly I'm pretty sure the health debuff is permanent for the entire game.. a health field upgrade would definitely come more in handy.

It's an interesting change for sure, we'll have to see if it actually deters people from randomly shooting NPCs tho

Yeah it's gonna be a crazy adjustment for sure. I'm definitely guilty of shooting all the NPCs around me when Im in a tricky situation, so this is gonna be interesting lol

@@thatboywags most of the time the reason I have to shoot so many npcs is because of the guards shooting me and I don't want to risk letting an agent shoot me first, so I shoot all in sight. I feel like this is a buff for the prop gear because it's the only passive way to stop npcs from shooting.

@@saihiko9967 the guards awareness radius has also been buffed too so you'll have to travel farther to get away from guards before you turn into a prop.. they're trying really hard to discourage people from exiting cover when they don't have to.

Sounds dandy. Tho I cant get anybody to buy this game, nobody in my friendslist wants to even look into it. Games is a 10/10.

I've seen a VIP like 4 times, and always killed them thinking thats 100% a spy. But they never were lol.

Haha yeah I always get way too sketched out around VIPs. I never disguise as them either.

15 seconds is not enough of a penalty, should be like a full min and progress. Most players will still just spray everything down.

I think it would've been interesting to at least be broadcasted when you reach the highest heat level. At least this way it's like running a tripwire and everyone knows where you are. In this case, all you have to do is hide for 15 seconds which is pretty easy.
