This week I've made big progress on my VW Caddy. I have now sound deadened, insulated and carpet lined the walls and panels of the van.

You kept saying you don't know what you're doing, but you're doing an awesome job.. I have a bare metal Caddy and am truly clueless but your videos have taught me so much already. New subscriber. I'm actually shocked you haven't got more subscribers, yours are some of the best amateur Caddy videos on RU-vid. I'm not going to watch a Dan Chambers video as a novice and be able to use it as a tutorial, but these are follow able. Top work!

Check your rear doors on the inside, there is always water ingress from the outside. (Lock, windscreen wipers, etc.) That's why there are holes at the bottom that the water can drain off. You've blocked the path with insulating material and the trapped water is causing corrosion. Affects all doors.

Have a look for a maypole awning light - work great as a task light when working in the van, rechargeable, two light modes and magnetic mount. Also the strip light cob led rechargeable head torches are also a game changer

nice job there, reckon you couldve benefitted from some more thermal insulation taped to the roof, since the roof liner leaves a big old gapit could help fill, but good work

It is a ball ache but something very satisfying afterwards but looking sweet so far mate will be a nice little van when done! Look up a channel called Dan Chambers on you tube he recently did caddy came out very nice! Defo up for a sticker for my slow van! Haha

Thanks Ian and yes it is, gets a bit monotonous after a while 😅 I sold that T5 end of 2020, was good fun though enjoyed my time with that van. 👍😎

Tip on getting the holes flat; use a countersink drill bit. Takes 2 secs and keeps it nice and even.

It's a nightmare but the rewards are worth it! Me being a decorator i have pieced mine on! Didnt do full pieces just spliced together! Can't see the join!😍👍
