I am really loving your expanded Knott's coverage. This is some great stuff. Chalk Lines are super common in construction because snap lines make them easy.
I LOVE your choice to include Knott's in the rounds of your weekly QUALITY updates. Alot of Disneyland fans have migrated over to Knotts as it's guest experience is a nod to Disneyland of old. Please continue these weekly/semi-weekly updates at Knotts. When's the Magic Mountain/Sea World San Diego/Legoland/Sesame Street/Raging Waters/Wild River/Soak City/Hurricane Harbor update gonna show up? 😅
Fun fact about the railroad: that's Rio Grande Southern No.41 and she's only been back on the mainline for about a week. She was off property for about a year being rebuilt in Colorado and now sports a black paint job.
Glad you understand that life isn’t all about Disneyland. I happen to enjoy Knotts very much. You don’t feel exhausted at the end of your day and there’s so much to see and you can kick back there.
If there were a paid fastlane for the Stagecoach...we would totally use that every time... They rushed open the restaurant in Camp Snoopy for the Boysenberry Festival, the bottom floor, the backsplash, the queue and the salad bar were all redone. But the thematic changes and improvements will happen at a later date! That coaster is going to be a family coaster with a mild launch, not just a kids coaster like it was before. Also, roller coaster construction...vertical construction happens WAY faster! The ground work and putting in all the footings takes forever...and they are getting finished with the footings soon. Should see some supports and track going in sooner then you think!
@@jesseparrish9198 We sure can. If I slip into a coma for a few years, when I wake from said coma will I still be considered the same age as before? No. Whether it was in operation or not, it was still sitting there exposed to all the elements, aging…
One thing I like about Knotts/Cedar Faire is that they are now taking the time to preserve the older attractions and sprucing up with newer ones as well as the restaurant/dining areas. My ONLY gripe is that they seem to be more generic looking rather than themed to their respective areas. It all started with Mrs Knotts Chicken Restaurant several years ago. Although it looks very nice now, it used to be more on par with Disney theming where you felt like you were more in a old west town restaurant. If you get a chance, you should look up a youtube video that chronicles Mrs Knotts Restaurant and some of the ideas they had! It was amazing! The new Pizza Place is nice as well as the new Fiesta Village dining area, but again, the really lack more immersive theming. My biggest gripe is the new lounge area for premium passholders: it's very generic and should have been themed more like a western saloon or parlor. Maybe even more rustic like a log cabin, but instead they have Craftsman style seating and TVs on the wall? Even Virginia's Gift Shop and The Emporium in The Marketplace, really should have an authentic Western/Victorian Era Mercantile feel to them. Otherwise, GO KNOTTS!
Silver Bullet will be 20 years old in December this year. Xcelerator is 22 years old this May. Ghostrider & Supreme Scream just quietly had its 25th anniversary this past July & December. Wish Knott's would celebrate their coaster anniversaries, but the park doesn't like to acknowledge it's coaster enthusiasts, and chooses to focus heavily on its food offerings, look to thier social media accounts for proof.
Xccelerator would probably be dangerous to have two Bel air's running at the same time. I can only imagine the amount of stress it would cause the workers.
FreshBaked. David, A nice day at Knotts. The parks 1980's Add said this. "Disneyland is a great place to start, but Knotts Berry Farm is only minutes away and worlds apart." And it still is. I wonder what happened to the "Motorcycle Race," attraction? Cheers, Chris Perry.
Thanks for taking a photo with my family while I was getting my wife's phone from the car! She knows how big a fan I am of your videos!!! We were also in line about 20 people back on Butterfield Stagecoach, unfortunately had one kiddo not feeling well so we had to get out of line and we missed it. :( She even told my son she was going to prank me about running into you again and then they turned a corner and quite literally ran into you! Lol Your advice was spot on, and we were able to see most everything else though and my wife said Calico Mine is now her favorite ride and I thought it was great too! Great day at Knott's and you gave us some great family memories!
Dave, thanks for these Knott's Berry Farm updates. From age 3 or 4, I loved going there. (Free Admission) As I grew, even the $1, didn't keep this long haired hippie out of that beloved place. (Wish Disney and Knott's could figure out how to merge the place back in the day) Thanks again!!!😊
🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤷Please no.. do not merge with Disney🙌 ...Stay true to your roots...and your individual Aura will stay Unique. Plus, keeping Monopolies from occurring is the answer for Everythings Individuality🙌🙌🙌💯
Who would ride 10 rides??? My last visit I rode Ghostrider 12 times and Xcelerator 14 times with rides on every other coaster. Fast line can NEVER be compared to any other parks system. Fast line is UNLIMITED and no reservations. No one else can compete. Also, its all day. They don’t limit its starting time.
I believe the Boardwalk BBQ is on the dining plan and Its really good. My favorite restaurant at Knott's is the Ghost Town Grill (table service). Can't wait for Timber Mountain to reopen!
Love your videos! You’ve been asking for feedback so here goes… I am more interested in Disneyland vs Knotts and Universal. I like these videos peppered in but getting to be a little much for me. Loved the boysenberry festival video though! You always do a great job though of bringing the joy regardless. I love your queue studies, random Disney joy videos, rope drop tests, food reviews, and merch searches with Liz. Keep it up David! ❤
The rib dinner at Fireman's Grill used to be available on the dining plan. Without any warning, Knotts removed it from the plan mid-year instead of at the end of the year {December 31st}. We bought the dining plan with the expectation we could get the rib dinner for the full year.
I haven't been to Firemans in a while it seems. I am just finding out about this now. ugh. I am more disappointed that they took away the brisket (different restaurant). It was so good. They replaced with tri tip i think but it wasn't nearly as good. That was a while ago though. I hope something is still there.
Great video David. That store that takes your credit card before you purchase is a No Go for me. Just another way to be a cashless society. Cash is king in my book. Don’t need eyes looking and/or controlling my money.
I can't believe you still can't get traditional barbecue at Disneyland.... sometimes you just want some ribs or some brisket at the park but there ain't no where to get it ever since the closure of Big Thunder Ranch BBQ.
Source is someone high up Tips Haunted Mansion open Aug 23rd Tiana’s Adventures open Oct 3rd.. they still have a lot foundational work & tons structural framing to deal with inside n out. Then have all animatronics to set n sequencize to the ride (testing)
Hey @freshbaked! magic mountian has been doing the individual skip the line for a little over a year. Now that the merger took another step toward completion they are realigning the fast pass structure. I hope you go to scream break when you go to magic mountian.
Do you know if they shut down rides due to the wind ? We have trip coming up Saturday March 23rd and the weather seems cloudy with wind from 10to 15 mph and idk if I should cancel my trip😭
You’re my go to planner you helped me during January planning my first sweethearts night at Disney land and now we’re heading to knotts and I hope I don’t have to cancel !
They need to seriously do something about their disability wait times because you have to still walk around with this ridiculous paper ticket and you have to walk all the way to the Rhine get a return time of walk somewhere else for an hour and a half. It’s just ridiculous. You shouldn’t have to do that when you’re disabled it should be the same way. They do it at Disneyland where you just do it on your phone so if you’re disabled of my daughter who has seizures and has breathing in capacity because her lung is are deteriorating. We shouldn’t have to walk all over the place. We should be able to do it on our phone. Get a return time and sit there and wait for that return time making her walk all over the place back-and-forth or for any disabled person it’s really criminal when you think about it it’s discriminatory
Knotts lines move very slow due to unenthusiastic workers and low ridership capacities. Low rider ship is due to Knotts not maintaining multiple trains because of budget cuts.
