To be fair, "Elf on the shelf" didn't become a thing until 2005, so Kassie would have been like 15 and therefore probably had already known ~the truth about Santa~ for at least a few years, so it makes sense that her parents didn't try to make "Elf on a shelf" a thing in their household. 🤷🏻‍♀️ (I would have been 10 in 2005 and even I only recently learned what it is from a few Facebook friends posting about doing it with their kids)

Actually, elf on the shelf is a (kind of creepy) lil elf that sits anywhere you put it and it supposedly moves at night to check on the kids. I find them kinda creepy tbh
