Welcome to the 2023 season! I used my GoPro to film my batting innings during my village cricket match against Sleaford Cricket Club. A great win to start the season. So good to be playing cricket with all the boys again. Good to have a few new faces too...

A little tip : For pace bowlers stand outside the crease but for spinners have only one leg inside the crease and then see the advantage

You seemed to be closing the face of the bat on your shots in this innings. I may be wrong but I think you were far too bottom hand dominant, try holding the bat with just the thumb and index finger (bottom hand only), the other three fingers automatically come on as you play.

@@thesimpsongk7115 when I said watch the ball, I should have clarified that you should watch the ball in the bowlers hand during his run up. Not from when he actually bowls it. You will be surprised how much extra time this will give you.

You need to improve your technique. You play well, but your basic fundementals aren't solid. When you were attempting to drive the ball, there were many errors. For example, cross-bat.. high chances of missing the ball: bat isn't coming down straight which is nessescary for successful connection. Another is also you not leaning into your shot. PJ does this when he drives the ball.. leans in with his body, head steady, foot right to the pitch of the ball and bat coming down dead straight. Hence his drives are beautiful and elegant, but most importantly, the ball meets the meat of the bat.
