Another thing that is happening is the build up of Portland ! There are a number of large Construction Companies that are based in Boston that have opened up Offices in the Portland area ! With New office buildings,Hospitals etc they need more workers which a lot will be from out of State, bringing their politics and ideas .

While I side with you guys. There are a dozen + states that already have waiting periods and have for years. Including Florida. It will be difficult to get this over turned through the courts. Not saying you shouldn’t try, just pointing out that it’s not very obvious that it will be overturned. Read Heller Supreme Court gave states a lot of rope on gun regulation as long as it didn’t prevent the ownership of “common use” firearms

Same here in Michigan ..new gun laws went into effect this last February ... We now go to our county Sheriffs Dept to get a permit to purchase a firearm..any firearm...then take that paper work to the gun shop . The Sheriffs dept.. does a state police back ground check before issuing the permit to purchase.. Then when you get to the gun shop you hand that over and fill out a NICS federal firearms form for buying a firearms...Michigan went all Democrat control in the last election cycle...due to abortion and legalizing marjuana that the Democrats ran on.. As soon as they took control of the state houses and governorship... New gun laws were rammed through... Red flag laws and more background checks to buy a gun..Next they are after waiting periods and the number of guns you can buy per month..These new permit to purchase means also if you want to hand down a gun to a family member....that family member has to go get a permit to purchase or own and give to you before receiving that firearm..and you have to keep that transaction in your files or personal records...I just went all thru this shit when I bought an old mint 550- 1 Remington 22 rifle last week off another gun owner...Cant wait to vote in November to get rid of this human garbage at the state and federal level.
