I've been making content for RU-vid from the aughts. Creators come and go. Audience tastes change. Niches get inundated. Technology changes. And people cry the sky is falling..... You make something of more value than others and the audience will find you.
Even worse than that, there is the potential of youtube itself creating AI content and bypassing creators altogether thus upscaling their revenues without any real costs and just fooling the viewers !
@@FullThrottleHOG lets all of us humans root for human created content. I love your content because we do feel the soul and passion behind it. Keep on trekking and be safe my friend .
Little channel here and I am hoping RU-vid finds a way to prevent this somehow. I agree on the no AI for my channel as well but am thinking my time may be coming to an end as I am already seeing some of what you’re talking about. Hoping we can find a way so we can all keep enjoying content, motorcycles and friendships.
Me too BoDean. I do think RU-vid is off to a good start by requiring creators to list the AI content if used. My concern is more for the end user. YT will be watered down and not nearly as enjoyable. We will have at least twice as many videos out there and everyone will be creating. Some real creations but some will be 100% AI. Thank you for watching.
Bro we’re still following our favorites already in place for the last few years. We won’t be tricked into thinking we’re watching you, and it’s not. @@FullThrottleHOG
It’s good that they will have to have the tag, to let us know. I like watching real content creators because I like the engagement of interacting with them. AI is not something I’m interested in and maybe it’s an age thing but I like people. Real people. Keep making your content, we are here for it as well as you-the person.
Awesome video and thanks for bringing this up. I believe RU-vid will find a way to either keep the AI content separate or somehow contain it where it’s not the only videos filling up our viewers feeds. One thing I truly believe as well is that our viewers and community come to most of us for our personalities. They see us and can connect on that level and my hope is that will never change and keep real creators at the forefront of YT for many more years 👊🏻
The thing AI lacks is the human touch and emotion. AI can help the creator to speed up their work flow, but you can't 100% rely on it. I have embraced it. Stay true to yourself and it will be ok. People watch creators for thier personality. AI isn't going to be able to connect with an audience. I almost immediately click off a video that is completely AI because I can't trust it. In my opinion, faceless channels are gonna get hit the hardest because no one is on camera. Just my thoughts. Keep up the great work brother!
Thank you for watching JoeGoe. It is concerning to see recent tech releases on what AI can actually do. They have AI tech now that has the character showing emotions, having humor, and timing with its delivery. I see a time in the future where a character will be created by AI and we won't see the difference. I hope i'm wrong.
90% of my RU-vid consumption is motorcycle content. I truly enjoy the creativity and talent that channels like yours produce. I recently watched a training video in the workplace that was clearly low scale AI. It was not good. Makes me wonder how this technology will play on legal matters. Like, will video evidence even be reliable anymore? Crazy times we are in.
This is a really good overview. You have some very solid points. I think the decayed revenue for some of these long time creators has led to a portion of the mass exodus. The very thought of AI content is where I'll jump ship. I'm a fly on the wall of creators, but we all work hard at what we do. Great topic. Eric
Your video "Sturgis Doesn't Care" is how I was introduced to your channel and I immediately subscribed. Love that documentary and have told many people about it. The rise of AI technology is alarming and people need to be aware of it, so thankyou for trying to get some information out there.
First off I want to say how much I enjoy your content and the beauty you capture of riding. And I agree, AI is very concerning, but what’s more concerning is many don’t care. The reality is that we’ve become a media addicted society. There comes a point when the addict no longer cares about the purity of the product, they just want the hit. Sad, but true. The ironic thing is that your video content points us to something greater. Something we’ve forgotten. It shows us the open road, the love for life and a taste of freedom. It calls for us to drop our screens and grab our handle bars; to let go of the artificial and to start to breathe the fresh air again - to live. The anonymity and mask of media will always be a platform used by those who wish to manipulate our minds…if we let them. Get on your bikes and ride!
Thank you for watching. I agree. My biggest fear is that most don't care if its AI or not. And that point alone might cause some issues. Thanks for the comment.
Buddy, those four you’ve mentioned, some of the biggest out there, leaving the platform, I’ve never heard of them. I think that most of us follow our Favorites such as, You, Sandoval, 2LaneLife, Laidlaw, ProMonkey, SIK Baggers, Cycle Fanatix, Traveling Tall, 2147 Crew, and on and on, who we’ve enjoyed content from for some time, we’ll continue to enjoy and be frequent faithful supporters, and ya’ll aren’t going to lose our support. You provide genuine authentic, exceptional content around our riding, wrenching, rallies, charities, and our community. We don’t need to “go shopping” and subscribe to more than those we already enjoy such great content from. Let the phonies go find their space, and we’re content right here amongst our faves bringing it every week.
Same here. No idea who they are. And I watch everyone you mention I absolutely love monkey and John and Rob he’s a beat at slow riding I learned how to ride from robs channel
True. AI can be a super helpful tool, but it can also be very dangerous. As a new person making vids, I also asked myself the same questions regarding AI... But as a viewer, I only subscribe to creators that have a "vlogging" kind of style... so AI can't replace the personality YTbers out in their video. I look for authenticity and relatability. That's what I like to see from a creator. As humans, we need personal contact.
As a photographer and new motorcyclist, I love watching your travels. I am attempting a big solo trip in the Spring. As a photographer, I have played around with AI and it was fun for a bit..making backgrounds for my photos or art pieces. I have stepped away from it and keep in mind that it is another tool if needed. I will be stepping away from you tube if it turns into AI videos exclusively. Humans are what interest me. Keep riding and creating. I enjoy it.
Great info. I hope you and the other motorcycle channels keep creating excellent live videos, because your enthusiasm and personality are what makes the content.
This is a great conversation! I have too many thoughts (pros & cons) to type right now. I'll be back after I chew on this a bit and can consolidate my thoughts.
This is something I honestly haven't given much thought to, but you're right.. it's coming. We really enjoy your content, so keep it up! And thanks for bringing awareness to this.
Great video and yes I’m concerned. I plan on keeping my channel going and hopefully it will continue to grow. I’m also hoping channels like yours stick around. I really enjoy your content. AI is scary. I’m not a fan and I worry about what the future holds.
AI has been used for Top5/10 list videos for awhile now, so your overall prediction is plausible. The danger with AI is its reliance on source material - is the source legit? The more data that is aggregated without new, creative works, the greyer the content becomes and variety suffers. I favor creatives because their content is essentially what I am "liking", not just what I may have learned but that I was entertained as well. You and many others in the motorcycle genre are enjoyable to watch and I hope can sustain through this adoption of AI into the platform. The 'easy' button will always exist for those wanting to make the quick buck, but hopefully it still leaves room for those that work hard to make memorable content like yourself. Regarding instructional/repair videos, disinformation is my biggest worry as overall experience/value may degrade based on the lack of original source material. Mucho props to the creatives so that we can continue being entertained by this great content!!
Just watched your AI video. One thought, related or not, I had to come to my phone, search for your channel, then comment. One detachment that’s occurring is being able to watch channels on a smart TV. And a watcher has to move to a mobile device to comment. I think the vet little extra effort to today. But, that being said, I thoroughly enjoy the Human created content. As you said, social media! In example, I was watching your video on the ride back home, the “unofficial” iron butt. I contemplated a proposal, of if you did that again, I’d ride from Oklahoma to Cali with ya. So keep up the content. Some of us out here are still influenced and excited!
Funny, as a musician for the last 17 years, we're in the same boat. Most of what you hear on most records these days are either samples or computer edited vocal tracks. I didn't get into all this to compete with a computer... It just killed my motivation to try to put anything out anymore. Which is when I started to get the bug to ride and stumbled on your channel... And you're basically in the same boat. It never ends. Oye vey.
I've been seeing the same thing and people have continued to ask me if I fear AI. As of right now, AI still needs human interaction because it is constantly making mistakes. But I'm with you, I want to continue the connection with our audience with RU-vid acting as social media more than just an OnDemand library.
I only watch for educational content. Not sure why so many sit at home and live vicariously through others. I guess they don't have lives. My only concern is the amount of misinformation.... but there are already plenty of content creators who lack meaningful content. It also seems like many creators like talking at us instead of really engaging. So meh. Good luck
Thank you for sharing. You are correct in that this is a very serious situation. My wife is a book editor and has had to learn how distinguish between what might be a.i. written. The reason I even what you is for your personable touch in your creative presentation. Keep up the great videos
The content I watch, is all about the creator. There is a connection or personality I come back to watch. I think if the creators are taken out of the picture I'm pretty sue I will stop watching. AI will not replace those personalities. I come here because I like your style, what you are doing and what you have to say. If that goes away so would I. Great Topic!
Artificial intelligence is an oxymoron. The you tubers that I follow are the ones that I enjoy. I had to unsubscribe a you tuber because they went a different direction that I didn’t enjoy. No big deal. There are others that are whining about some of there followers. My theory is can’t take the heat get out of the kitchen. I’m down to mainly 6 people that I watch and am thrilled every time you all post. I also enjoy the motorcycle destinations. Thanks for what you do.
Exactly…. We have our favorites for a reason, that’s not changing. We will still seek out their content every day/week. That’s why we’re subscribed; it fits for us. Not out to track down the latest, greatest, more this or that.
Matti Happoja is “leaving “ platform to shill a pay to watch website for creators to “learn” from him for $50 per month. He made a video about it 1-2 days ago. Quickly unsubscribed from him. Sorry as a creator with 85k subs I don’t need to pay another to drag me away from the platform. Rumble is the way forward better revenue sharing.
That’s a little extreme. You’re unsubscribing to a channel because he created a platform? Here’s a guy who built a channel and a brand with over 1 million subs. Years of work to provide us with quality entertainment and information. Good for him for creating another business and an option for others. He’s earned that right. Unsubscribing to him because of this seems a bit silly. IMO.
@@FullThrottleHOG I don't feel the need to pay $50 per month for his content. His content is great, but to say he is leaving RU-vid and then posting another video advertising a new business is a little clickbaity.
Ryan, you just keep doing what you are doing. I will probably follow everyone else, and hope that I can still keep making content as crappy as it is. A couple weeks ago I was subscribed to 700+ motorcycle content creators, and tried to stay active in the community. Recently, I went through ALL of those motovloggers channels, and unsubscribed to those that have not created a video in a year! Believe it or not, I ended up with just over two hundred channels I now follow. It is sad to see that some channels were just starting out, and had only a few videos, and then nothing... It was like a ghost town, and it was a bit unsettling to unsubscribe to channels that looked promising, and they were going well, and then nothing... I do not know what is going to happen to GoogleTube in the future, but I will keep making videos when I can. Maybe this platform is finished, who knows, but I will keep making my videos, and share them on whatever platform that I can. Take care Ryan, ride safe.
I, in a way, see it now in a sense that some people will develop a a clip/video by scraping Google or some other search platform for pictures and other media, copy it onto their PC, form it into a video and then do a voice over for the presentation and not doing the boots on the ground leg work to provide their own personal content. I know that is not AI but to me it is not providing original content. Working for it like great creators provide in their own videos, such as yourself. I hope there would be a way to block or sort out AI content from a persons desired videos searches. AI can suck it!
It's already intimidating to jump into creating the content. Teaching yourself how to film and either standing in front of the camera or doing voice overs. Learning how to edit. The though of AI makes it even more daunting. I have hours of footage I'm still trying to learn to put together and edit. I think it will primarily be for family and friends though at this rate. I don't know that making money from youtube as a creator is going to be a thing.
You know it is scary. People don’t give a -uck how they get content. It’s a shame AI is not going to be this great thing, it will destroy the creators ability to play on a even field. I really feel bad for all the creators and people that spend the time to produce and edit the content for us. God bless!
It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. I think eventually we will be unable to notice a difference between AI and Real. This will also water down the experience of watching a RU-vid video because everyone will just be plugging ideas into the AI machine. Thanks for watching and be safe.
Great info, and I agree that interacting with the channels and people we like that are not engaging in this is a big part of keeping channels around, and motivated to keep making good content. Nice job, keep up the good work 👍
AI is incapable of creating original source material. If AI creates a '...a motorcycle travel film' it will end up being a collage of our videos. That's simply copyright infringement and plagiarism. In music people use drum machines. It's the worst. There's no soul. Your videos are full of soul. You can out-create AI with unique perspective and story telling through video and real hardship that AI can only mimic. YOU are the real deal my friend. Respect.
For me Utube is purely entertaining to me just as TV is....As a StreetBike rider since 1979 ive seen alot of changes in the Motorcycle world including advertising and propaganda....I think AI is just a new form that is just going to squeeze out the Mom and Pop Utuber...Just like the Corp World has done with everything else the last 30 plus years....
Great overview and insights mate, well done. It certainly is a sign when people like Matti choose to leave the platform, although there are other reasons for the departure also. I like to think that I am a creative, and I love doing that for our RU-vid channel, however whilst I acknowledge and accept that AI is the future, it’s not for me, and when AI totally dominates the landscape I’ll shut down both our bike and films channels. It’s a shame that I spent so many years learning the craft of photography, and more recently studying short filmmaking, only to realise that soon it’ll all amount to nothing! ✌️
We are headed towards interesting times. I think it will water down the You Tube experience. The amount of "Creators" will reach a whole other level. AI is a lot more advanced that what most are giving credit. We are just scratching the surface.
What's also bad about it is the AI will be using our videos, YOUR videos, to build those videos. It'll almost be like competing with yourself.... partially.
It's funny because I talked about Chat GPT like 6months ago and no one knew what I was talking about, and now I'm seeing videos where people are clearly reading scripts that were written by AI. If you can't create on your own this isn't the game you should be playing
I think there is room for both. I subscribe to 6 motorcycle RU-vid channels and what draws me to them is the personalities of those who create the videos. AI cannot duplicate this. So I will most likely keep the 6 channels I subscribe to, and possibly add to this a couple of AI produced videos. I understand your concern but at least for me, you will never be replaced.
Please don't stop what you are doing my wife and I love to watch your channel. Keep doing what you do and most of all keep it real as we know you will 😊
A very vast subject! Now to motorcycle movies: I am riding a 2003 Fatboy and a 1998 Transalp. I love riding motorcycle. I love riding road trips throughout Europe. I watch other people's movies reporting their road trips, experience, etc. I enjoy great scenery pictures, experience sharing reports. Thus, I will keep watching real humans' movies relating their lived experience. I hope that AI made movies will be identifed as such.
After 10 years of doing Laconia You Tube videos, I am going step back next year. It got good numbers in to start, but not sure it is worth the time I invest in making videos because my I does not seem to be expanding its reach, while on facebook I get thousands of vies for the same content. So may focus just on facebook next year. Great content. Hope you keep at it but not sure what my future on You will be.
I plan on staying with the content creators that I've grown to like & know. I guess we cant stop ai so we'll all just have to keep an eye out for the tags. Ai might be able to make a cool vid but i doubt it will have the same feeling/soul as one made by a person.
I for one am excited to see the " big " channels are leaving /stepping away. it means different people with different thinking can get a shake at some of the viewers. as for ai I ain't worried either. I find I am enjoying less polished slap a GoPro on and blog about stupid stuff rather than the highly graded , high conceptual ,and in most cases sponsored stuff. I suspect ai videos will be super slick ,graded, bokeh crazy light flares, 8 mm faking , Kodachrome emulsion try hard stuff. I wouldn't be worried if I were you the people you bring up are formulaic and formulaic content can be boiled down into a formula. your stuff is more nebulous.
I totally get what you are saying. It's maddening about AI and the "takeover." Just recently, I was watching a movie with Dwayne Johnson in it. I swear that the first part of the movie, his character was a digitally mastered form of him. No one else could see it, but I saw it simply because, like you, I am in to photography and videography. We see those differences. I hope we are not a dying breed. Instead, I hope we become classic collectibles that over shadows the AI world. Keep the film rolling!!! Ride safe! Ride fun! Miss Jenni Out!!
AI is only going to turn anyone into a Hollywood movie creator. But AI will need "reel video form humans to steal from. And that is going to suck. Just one hour ago I found your channel and watched your latest mega tour around the western states, and I'm hooked on your movie making skills. Thank you.
Good job on the video man; (nice shirt!) I see your concern but I believe AI will be used as a complementary tool, (maybe for b-roll). When we enjoy seeing and hearing from”you”, anyone replacing “you” with AI content, while potentially good on another level, will not have the personal-touch we consumers tune in to connect too.
It’s cheating the creators, and this started when photographers lost copyrights on many platforms. I’ve already seen many of these AI generated videos using historical subjects with many different video clips and a text-to-voice. I don’t like it.
As long as you, Matt Laidlaw and Matt Jensen are out there, I'll be watching your videos. There are a couple others but I know what I like and you guys have it!
@@FullThrottleHOG absolutely, we won't know if we're really speaking to a human, with the voice capabilities, phone calls or video messages created from AI for scam purposes. Could possibly change the way we interact online altogether.
Thanks, yes it’s crazy……I have less than 30 subscribers on my channel. I will not be able to compete, I’ll keep the few I follow, like you & a hand full of others. I try to comment & always like. I’ll keep filming and sharing when I can.
Time to plan life after RU-vid. As a consumer, I am not accepting artificial content. That includes content made out of stealing video sequences from original content creators. It might be time to just find a platform that values the concept of original content creation. As a content creator, I'd pack my stuff and walk away from RU-vid. If AI can copy my content without permission and a financial benefit for the original content creator, then there is no incentive to create content in the first place. YT will choke itself to death if they don't find a way to fairly compensate the original content creator. In the end the consumers will decide. The more subscribers walk away from the platform altogether, the less ads are placed, the less ads will cost, the less content is created and that leads to the death of the service. You did well highlighting this very important subject. Let's hope people listen and understand the message.
At the end of the day, its up to an audience to determine whether content is valuable or not. Even with current AI programs like Mid-Journey, ChatGPT-4, etc - it’s all behind a paywall. Creating on RU-vid, TikTok, Instagram, etc is completely free - I’m sure we will see some channels that are utilizing AI for content, but so what? Just because someone gains a subscriber does not mean that person is completely gone now and will never see another channel ever again. The fact that motorcycle channels exist today that have millions of subscribers does not detract from other channels succeeding if they start today. I don’t think it will be anything to be concerned about.
I'm more concerned with what I've heard that RU-vid can pull over $2k out of a monetized channels bank account if they don't like what you say in your videos or maybe even comments you may make on other videos. I'm not sure if this is true so I'd appreciate if you or someone can clarify this but this is the most troubling to me.
I have not heard about that. I am not sure how they could justify that. I can see them throttling down a channel, but not taking funds. Interesting to see if can get others to respond to this who may have experience with this.
@@FullThrottleHOG Yes I'd like clarification as well since I would likely give up posting to my channel here on RU-vid & certainly not look to be monetized if I ever reached that milestone. Thank you for your reply.
Thanks for the information…I watch videos that are personal… AI cannot make it real enough for me. I do it for the memory factor and creative outlet and will not change that. I will not watch any channel that does not look real to me and Personal.
I don’t know enough about AI to really understand what will happen, but YES, I care if it’s a real person. I watch your channel because of you. There are a ton of motorcycle creators out there, but I mainly watch because of your creativity and personality. It also feels like we’re friends. I can’t be friends with a computer. Or maybe we’re all in the Matrix and we don’t know it………….
I appreciate you Jim. It will be interesting to see how AI progresses. I feel it will get so good, that AI will generate a character with a personality. Interesting times ahead. Thanks for watching.
The majority of the content I watch on RU-vid is motorcycle related. I like knowing that the creators of this content are actually using real life, real time experiences to produce this content. I think it is good that the folks using AI must disclose that fact so that any decision to view that content is made with that in mind. I do think that AI use will definitely depersonalize the connection between the creator of the content and their viewers
Yes it matters and I just hope we can tell the difference and no would not care to watch AI. Its the people that makes a difference e. I am 65 years old and just got b ack into motorcycles after being away for 30 years. I bought a cruiser and am loving it have so enjoyed your content and it has inspired me.
You just helped me out a whole lot on a Honda Goldwing you didn't know it you told how to push over on the shifter in first gear then take it into neutral at work really great now I've got a neutral light with no problem all I have to do is to remember to push down the first gear then push over then back up to neutral
I watch motorcycle content on RU-vid because bikes are my passion. Watching real bikers on real roads, at rallies, wrenching or just talking about bikes, in countries thousands of miles away from me in Scotland is just awesome. Bikers are bikers the world over. AI generated content is a complete waste of time to me! Keep it real!I
I agree for sure. My fear is that in time, no one will be able to tell the difference. I happy that RU-vid is changing the policy, but that further tells me, they see how realistic the AI stuff will become. Thanks for watching and be safe.
I think we are getting to far ahead and we need to slow down and enjoy life. My page is not monetized but I love creating motorcycle and music videos so this is not good news and I hope they rethink this whole AI thing but in reality I know they won't so we really have no choice.
I’m a fairly new subscriber to your channel, I love your content, I fell your very honest and I’m not a fan of AI all, keep doing what you’re doing and I will be watching, on a personal note just a little rant of my own I hope don’t follow the same path of some of the you tubers I used to follow that became greedy and selfish as their channel grew, I loved watching their content but their sponsors would built bike after bike for them and I pay for everything I have done my bike so some of their sponsors I will not purchase anything from them because of this. Thanks for listening to me and please don’t follow the same path, your channel is awesome and I won’t watch channels based on AI
I have no interest in watching AI. I saw a bike review narrated by a computer. It was awful. It’d be nice to sue every AI channel (or anyone else for that matter ) for plagiarism and shut them down. Maybe AI could generate a list: “Dear AI, give me a list of every AI channel that has stolen my video.” I’ll keep watching your videos if you keep making them. You’re top drawer. (Ask an old guy if you don’t know what that means.)
Having vids (or docs) that are generated all or partially by AI definitely need to be identified clearly so the audience needs to be educated, aware and vocal at requiring that identification. It's happening now in other niches and at present it's pretty easy to identify if there is a vocal due to miss pronunciation - I confess I dont trust much if current still photos from MSM right now.
I watch motorcycle content on RU-vid. I pay for RU-vid Premium. And I’m head of engineering for a profitable AI-driven tech company. RU-vid is already filled with junk content where stock footage is wrapped around AI driven script and AI driven voices. But those channels aren’t engaging and we come to channels like yours where real people are being real. AI is not the enemy. Just the opposite. You could be using AI right now to help plan and structure your content. But you are still doing the heavy lifting.
Some excellent points here. I agree that I can use certain aspects of AI to assist. But, A lot of it comes down to the enjoyment of the creative process. The respect I have for all those who create something out of nothing. I use the example of T-shirt printing. The person who does an old school screen print will have a stellar shirt. No flaws, perfectly aligned with its design. Now, compare that to some one using a mass quantity T-shirt press. There will be flaws, but at the end of the day, the person wearing the shirt might not see the flaws, but multiple people will buy it. I know, its a weird analogy. Lol, thanks for watching.
Great video, as always. Here's my personal perspective and I'll admit, it's fluid at the moment. :) AI has arrived, and the future is now. We must either embrace it or risk being left behind, potentially unable to catch up later. While RU-vid serves as a small creative outlet for me, I fully grasp its implications for creatives and those that may depend on it for their livelihood or have gone full time etc. Like you, I cherish every aspect of my video creation process, embracing its gradual improvements and inherent imperfections(in my case, a lot of imperfection! :) My aim is to preserve this authenticity. However, I'm open to exploring how AI can enhance this process while upholding my personal commitment to authenticity.
Interesting times ahead. My concern is also that it will get so advanced, no one will be able to tell the difference. What will take me and you weeks to create, will be done in minutes by AI. By the time our videos are out, viewers will have moved on. It will definitely water down the enjoyment of watching RU-vid videos.
It is so true that technology is a double-edged sword. Good and bad. I'm no fan or AI, but I am in awe of what it can do. I really do not watch broadcast television anymore. I watch RU-vid as you described. To learn and to be entertained. Some creators do fantastic work and some.... I do enjoy your videos. I appreciate the time and effort, and creativity that you put into them. I think on some level, it's art. If RU-vid is going to advertise, there is AI content in the video that one is going to watch. Why not start a platform for those who want it?
It's the natural entropy of life and things. Complicated stuff gets more simple and accessible to the masses but one should never loose faith in human interaction needs. However great the Ai will get, people will still preffer to talk with people and be amased of what other people acomplish. It's like what @MrZombiechild666 said. On the other argument, big youtubers might leave because they reached a plateau. Can't you see how youtubers with millions of subscribers can't even make over 10% views? I've seen youtubers with 300K subs that barelly make 7K views on each video after a week or more. Once you have all the cameras, microphones, drones, 360 videos, new locations ... youtubers colabs, and still can break 10% views on each video that you spend thousand in creation, what's to do? People don't know that big youtubers have an army of employees that work on the videos... All of them must be payed. It's a business model. The bigger you are, the harder you fall. Now compare all that with you or me. When I have time and money I go for a motorcycle trip that I document on youtube. The development of Ai will make people better apreciate the natural side of social media. People are social animals and no Ai will change that.
I'm very concerned about this. There needs to be strong legislation enacted sooner than later where an average person will know without a doubt that any content or picture or video they are viewing is AI generated. A prominent watermark on videos or pictures - warning on text pages - etc.
It's hard to say. AI is still new and developing and YES I believe what you are saying is true. AI will put out videos created by typing only a few sentences. But why do I watch RU-vid videos? Who do I watch? I choose and subscribe to creators who offer me something personal and something unique that I don't find elsewhere. Your videos are different from 2LaneLife (another favorite) but you both add value differently and in ways that keep me engaged. Will / Can AI do that? Too soon to tell for me and so we'll just have to see. My only advice is to keep being YOU, and do what you love and have been successful with. Is it heresy to even suggest that creators like you could at times incorporate AI into your videos? Maybe not a this or that, but somewhere using both?
Wow, That does suck!! F@@k AI!! This world is getting more fake and fake every year!! Thank you for keeping it real love your videos especially cause you’re you’re from the SoCal like me.. Some of the places my wife and I ride to are places you shown in your video.. lol We are from Riverside Ca.. 👊🏼😎
AI is a lazy way to be creative. There is no creative thought involved. It’s not natural and genuine. I think you’ll have some viewers ok with it and others will feel it’s fake.
Part of what makes radical footage and video editing is the human error that makes an unexpected new concept. I love the way sh!tty skate videos looked in the 90s because of the grainy rawness. I have faith AI won't ever take away the art in video creation.
So this doesn’t address the AI issue but these are my thoughts. I love and hate RU-vid at the same time. The level and diversity of talent and content is amazing and I love to support and follow people that are engaging. I also love the DIY tutorials and how to videos. With that said, what I absolutely hate and have a hard time supporting is the mass censorship RU-vid and Google have been involved with. Deplatforming, and demonizing many channels for “holding the wrong views” the censorship of certain topics and people. The random freezing of creator accounts for un-named infractions where it takes weeks/months of emailing back and forth to get their channel back, meanwhile stealing the ad revenue during that time period, where there was no infraction- real or imaginary. To be honest, as much as I enjoy watching content, I look forward to the day RU-vid is eclipsed by a better, more honest, neutral and open platform.
I believe the AI should be disclosed in the title, and the description of said, channel and video if this really takes place,,, keep it real. Thank you.
I hate the concept of AI. Besides the fact I have seen arr of the Terminator movies. I love your stuff. Your "Sturgis doesnt care" short film kicked me in the ass to finally plan to go. 2025 is my goal, and it's all thanks to you and your content. Please keep up the great work.
Yeah, I agree… we need real live human to express the experience when vlogging… the AI don’t have emotion or feelings to express. Real live experience matters than AI does.
