BIGBANG have ALWAYS been one of - if not THE - best Korean groups for me when it comes to literally simply LISTENING via albums/songs. I first got into Kpop through GD's Heartbreaker MV on the sidebar after a V-Kei group mv 'YT suggestion' (Not sure how, but I am still very glad). Their earlier music vids were so different from the SM/JYP group vids, and their songs have grown with their initial fandom before I joined - they got me into KHipHop, then underground K-Rap, and while I still think YG as an owner is a creep, he really did give us brilliant entertainment with his groups/'selection shows'. Shame that there's "always one" person who brings down the rest in any situation when something good goes on for so long... I really hope BB goes on for decades with whatever media they choose to pursue: making music as producers/lyricists, choreography, acting, etc. I gave up on kpop a couple of years ago due to the toxic fandoms after it got 'popular' overseas

His been writing songs when he was a trainee under SM from 8 years old to 13 before getting scouted by YG. This was choosen by GD as a song for his solo but YG declined it and gave it to Bigbang. GD has been in the industry since he was 6.

@@hastobeus haven't heard of it. Because in korean news they always said it Big Bang the first idol to ever released a self composed song. H.O.T was from SM and SM had in house producers.

I've been a vip for 11 years, and remember how huge Gdragon and Lies was, but Hope and Kangta definitely has the title as "first" 10 years before Gdragon
