The new Hyundai Kona is getting closer to Australia, with a local launch set to kick off from mid-2023. What do you think of the design? Get all the current Australian details here: www.whichcar.com.au/news/2024-hyundai-kona-initial-australian-details-revealed

I liked the smaller size of the original but also liked the MINI Copper much more when it was smaller as well. If it sells to go bigger, can't really argue with it I guess. I have a Kona N and would love an AWD electric Kona N.

After closely following the release of the South Korean version of the N Line KONA and viewing, with excitement, its full tech facility and impressive road-test display, the release of the European version of the KONA N Line was met personally with a degree of disappointment through an obvious reduction in its tech facility. A reduction in available tech facility to the N Line Korean model could be a huge disappointment affecting its Australian release. Personally, I am not particularly concerned in the fact that there are 33 Litres of additional luggage space or that the rear seat compartment offers an additional 70 mm of leg room - the Australian N Line KONA that I am so desperately waiting for is one that has all of the the full display of the Korean tech presently available and so creatively demonstrated within the Seoul model. It was visually apparent during the release of the European N Line that the 64GB SIM card slot did not exist, as offered in the Korean release, presenting a uniqueness of using the vehicle’s multiple cameras to capture a “dash-cam” display. This tech is a must for me in the Australian release of the N Line. It is important that Hyundai Australia realises that this must not involve a cost-cutting of the new N Line here in Australia and that the vehicle we are so patiently waiting for must not be a step down from what we presently drive but a positive step up through the integration of those technologies displayed within its Korean release. Any cost cutting to the tech potential could be a disappointing “game-changer” to those who have followed the release of this exciting venture so far.

Well said. The built in camera with removeable micro SD card is a great feature, but I am told it has been removed from the Australian version. No slot.

Drivers in Australia need a spare tyre. Not everyone drives in cities.
