Hello, greetings from California. In which part of United States do you farm the catfish? I would like to know whether you’re practicing the recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) or the ordinary ponds? If the RAS, I would like to interact with you to learn a few things since I would like to set up one in my home country, Uganda. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Have a good one. Kind regards, Edward.
Wow, I love fish farming. It lovely to have one in Ghana, can we connect so I can link some of my subscribers from me to you? They are also Ghanians who want to go into this business but I'm in Nigeria.
You can build boreholes to help you fill the ponds with water instead of waiting for the rains.Install water pipes to pump the water from the boreholes into the ponds
This is the producer mindset we need to have all over Africa. Congratulations guys! Welcome to the FUTURE as it belongs to Farmers. I love this. Peace!!!
Dear Afoum, kudos to you on this project. Please what is the estimated cost for this kind of project? I intend to do something similar when I return back home; who knows, you may be the one handling it.
I applaud the project & support the vision. The title though is misleading. I was expecting to see an operational Catfish Farm not one in its development stages. But great venture & therefore, best wishes.
Big Man am in love with farming I pray one day I will invite you to my farm. You are doing good and great job GOD RICHLY BLESS you big brother for bringing us back AFRICA and building up the nation 💗👌
Good Morning. Glad to visit with you. I enjoy following and watching your program. I have interest in establishing a Fish Farm in the Eastern part of Nigeria and thus I want to touch base with you. Thank you
The thing is, if Ghana man can make quick money from importing and selling, he is not gonna do the long process of farming. So those who have the patience, then farming is a goldmine for them!
Please please tell me how much would it cost to construct this farm? It's my dream as teenager to be a professional farmer in the future.. It's one my dreams respectively
Woow! Very impressive work. I'm soo attracted to this type of dug out ponds and I'm looking forward to starting a similar project soon. But I intend lining mine with tarpouline. One QUESTION I need answered is how on earth will sorting me done on a farm with ponds this size?
Wow! This is a big project Afuom Hene. I hope to invite you to Nigeria one of these days for my project too. I love your expert opinion on fishery business, congratulations
Nice project. Just saw your channel and I love it. As much as this may sound funny could you guys please get a life vest for anyone who visit the pond. Because anyone can just slip and fall into the pond. 9ft is deep lol
This is nice . As an earthen pond engineer expert I would have adviced that the ponds would have been constructed in sizes of 40m by 42 m with this it will take less time to pump water into the ponds, and can maximize the land space. Also maintenance level will be reduced.
Am no expert but my first impressions were, wow how huge! In our desire to outdo others we often let our fantasies get the better of us. Assuming they also consulted before construction, what would be your excuse. I have seen much bigger 'lakes' and ponds in the US and I believe it all boils down to how efficient and technically astute they intend to be.
Afuom Hene, great job with this post. I do have a question. Are you able to construct earthen pond if the land is not clay? I will also want an get estimate of how much fish I can fit on let's say 10 plots of land that measures 70x100?
Clayey soil is ideal for earthen pond construction however in its absence the only mitigating measure is to dig the ponds and line them with pond liners
👍🏿Wow this is huge! Is it the size and location which determines whether to do an earthen pond or a concrete pond? What are the pros and cons…earthen versus concrete fish ponds. Keep up the excellent job..
