@j.a.greene3523
@j.a.greene3523 Год назад
@@wilddogs2656 *cough* First of all, the game I'm assuming you're talking about didn't take place on Thanksgiving. The game was played in Mid-December. Second of all, the 2010 Eagles / Giants game isn't even the greatest comeback by the *Eagles* on the road: That game happened all the way back in 1959 when they beat the then Chicago Cardinals on the road when they were down 24 points. Against the Giants in 2010, they were only down 21 points. The Browns / Titans game is tied for 3rd highest deficit overcome in NFL history (25). Only 3 teams have come from behind with a higher deficit (49ers, Colts, Bills), all of them happening for the home team. You want to try again?
@wilddogs2656
@wilddogs2656 Год назад
You are right about when but are ignoring the short amount of time the Eagles came back. It was a much more thrilling game and actually in your massive rant all you did was prove my point that the Browns Totans comeback isn't the greatest by any road team. So honestly I don't have to try again because you inadvertently proved my point in your hubris to prove me wrong. I could not have proved my point better than you did. You are good at this.

Interesting that two years in a row ('16-'17) the biggest comebacks came in the playoffs. Just goes to show you that the best teams, even if starting out inconsistent against a strong opponent, can lock in and change things on a dime to play well and find success and victory. Nearly 300 games during the season but it just takes a good match up and a determined team to adjust their play to overcome a hiccup should they be in that position.

The one thing that always blows my mind is that even a 21 pt lead is not really that much (unless you only got a couple of minutes to play).
@oddbigking9069
@oddbigking9069 Год назад
It is a lot either way. The opposing team has to score 3 tds before your team scores a point
@hihunter7
@hihunter7 Год назад
Yeah it always seems like 10 point leads or so in closer back and forth games are a lot, but when a team jumps out by 20 points in the first half it always feels dangerous. A two touchdown lead (14-0) always feels Iike its not a lot and that the game has a long way to go, often times because it genuinely does. There was a Packets game a few years back, I think against the Colts or Seahawks (may have been both acrually. Yes, it was, I remember) where in each respectively we were up 14-0 against the Colts and 17-3 or something against the Seahawks and the came roaring back. We lost the Seattle game by an entire touchdown, 27-20 I believe, and the Colts game on a close loss, something like 34-33 or something close. Unless it's the 4th quarter, even a 21 point lead doesn't mean all that much, and even in the 4th quarter a lot can happen. I mean, in 2018 the Packers were down 20 to start the 4th and on a bum leg and high as shit, Rodgers orchestrated a stunning comeback to win 24-23. An offense can get hot just as the other did before and put up two or threw unanswered touchdowns in a short amount of time just as they were scored in previously. It's a good rule of thumb to remember that if your team can score all those points in a certain time frame, so can your opponent, and you have to remember that after being down a bit, the opposition is PISSED. I don't want to play a good, methodic, pissed off team fighting for their team's honor as if they were saving their kid from a burning building. Football players are scary, but football players with chips on their shoulders are downright brutally terrifying. 😳 Also, rule of thumb: Don't go up 28-3, ever. Even if the game is almost over, it's just not worth it. Hell, even if you WIN, you don't know the cursed and negative things that are likely in store for you. It's like holding a pair of black 8s and aces or rolling snake eyes: beware for what it is to come for you, because you're very likely to not be prepared for it.

36:19 Great lateral right there. Leonard is such an aware player, able to make the right moves and control the field so well. Falling down, knowing Rogers was in a better position and obviously much faster, giving him the ball and leading to an amazing play for the Colts, taking the ball all the way across the field from one endzone to the other. Great shit, you just love to see such high intelligence and awareness from some of the game's best players like Leonard. 👍

It's no shock 20+ point comebacks have increased in the NFL since the league became so pass happy. It's a lot easier to put up points quicker. However, most of these comebacks happened because of turnovers that could've been avoided if the teams ahead had better situational awareness. Take a sack when the play isn't there and don't force throws when you're up by a lot. Turnovers are such big momentum changers, especially when they are scoring plays.

A two touchdown lead (14-0) always feels Iike its not a lot and that the game has a long way to go, often times because it genuinely does. There was a Packers game a few years back, I think against the Colts or Seahawks (may have been both acrually.

Ah the Chargers choked 27 points in a playoff game and that wasn’t even the largest comeback this season! So many great moments this year and I hope we have another year like this next season
