Honestly, this is easily his most consistent and best performance as of yet. I recall many times where Adam barely won by a margin or just got plain lucky multiple times due to opponents errors. But this event you can clearly see it was just consistent skill that got him his victory. CONGRATS!
@@spencerwallace4805 Yeah was going to say that lol. he was also was overpowered. They need to start doing "locked" ECU comps. If you arent on stock motor you bring dyno sheets and they group you by power. He said they had some 90 people show up to drift, you can break it into brackets. This was people can choose to run a low HP car, and then if they go over say 450 they are bumped into unlimited and they know they are going to face 900hp pro cars.
@@coreytrevor3910 people that went to this competition knew what they were getting into. Hence why a lot of pro cars. A friend of mine brought his 800 HP IS300 to it.
Having fun like that outside the comp does a lot for mentality and focus. Of course you won because of your skill and talent, but you seem much more relaxed and at-ease compared to FD events. Grats on the win. You and that BMW pair up so well.
I have to say your driving has progressed to a whole new level in 2022! You can tell you've been paying attention to Vaughn and Chelsea's mentorship! Bring that same energy to St Louis and have fun in that RTR Mustang!

It totally makes sense, but I love how long the episodes get the Further he makes it in each comp, I can’t wait to see his first FD win video when that millstone comes! That video could be 2 hours long and I’d be on my seat, killing it Adam

@@AmishDoinks a seriously underpowered gel blaster like in the video will not make you lose an eye, you can quite clearly see how weak these things are by the fact the trajectory of the rounds are instantly dropping when the round exits the barrel meaning the compression inside the gun is only transferring enough kinetic energy to the projectile that it can barely escape the barrel. I would bet my airsoft collection these don't even output 0.2 joules. 1 joule is the limit for the likes of full auto airsoft guns and even that is only enough to lightly bruise your skin or break the skin enough for a graze. I highly advocate for eye protection for higher powered guns but when it's these things you output more energy by throwing the gel bb itself

This was my first ever drift event and it was so awesome I'm glad I got to meet you and that you won. The E36 is my favorite car that you own. This was the best weekend of my life!!!!

@@terrybutterfield7098 Nah it wouldn’t keep up with the FD cars, at least not the top FD cars with 1000+ HP, this thing would grenade after 1 round if he turned it up to keep up
@@mozo191 yeah and it would also make it way harder to drive because of the grip and power level. His RTR is way better for that matter. But maybe LZ is more accustomed to turbo'ed cars.
@@EGHeartattack Dude the FD cars he battles in these grassroots competitions are not full send like they are in FD. You’re delusional if you think they are pushing as much as they do in FD. FD’s tracks are fast drift tracks. These grassroots competitions are mostly about low speed finesse

Chelsea is also a killer chase driver, it’s no coincidence that with less pressure on getting the team places and more focus on driving with Vaughn and Chelsea on hand when needed, is paying dividends.

I forgot to mark it on my calendar and didn’t make it to this event even though I just lived a couple hours from the track where Cummins is Headquartered in Columbus!

Adam is so much more comfortable in his E36.. he always does good. I love vaughn and Adam on RTR but if he really wants to win in Formula D he needs to be in the car he always drives the best and has the most fun in....My amateur snowboarding days I got flow from a board company and almost never was fully comfortable on their product and rode my best on a different brand. Wish I could go back in time and just do my own thing... Its all cool to get free stuff and be paid to represent someone, but when it hurts your riding and his driving is it worth it?
That bmw isnt competitive in FD tho. Why adam struggle in FD is because the cars are ALL SO FAST and GRIPPED UP. Every new drivers struggles, even chelsea struggled and still do sometimes. It just doesnt compare to slower cars like his bmw.
He said a while back that the E36 and Mustang chassis wise drive almost the exact same. That’s why he doesn’t drive his other cars as much in competition. His last round in FD looked really good so hopefully next event will be big for him.
Let’s also remember that at these events none of the massive “factory” teams are out with $200k top level comp cars. Most of the FD drivers at this event are using their “demo” car, personal stuff or are one man teams like LZMFG was before RTR. It’s not really comparable, that’s like saying a mid level F1 driver is great at carting with their mates, why haven’t they won like that in races?

Imagine a drift event but after each round the layout and clipping points change to give slower cars a chance and really challenge the vetts and kinda change up the repetitive runs into something interesting. Also this video really hit my chill side just to see professionals chillin out playin games and still hitting some narly runs awesome video💯
As the guy who yelled buy a hot tub during the awards, a two car trailer sounds sick because more cars at events is cooler than hot tub content 😂 congrats on the win and thanks for letting us into the trailer to say what’s up mid comp!

Out of all of adams drift cars even including the rtr mustang. I honestly think and believe that adam feels the absolute most comfortable in that E36!!! Every time he drives it he throws down some of the sickest runs he ever done and actually wins comps in it!! It would be suuuuuper sick to see what he could do in that car in FD!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
