Hope to see you back soon Sean. Good luck sorting things out. Old 70 yo, 3 sons and 2 grandkids miss your common sense commentaries. Hugs for Bugsy from me and family.
Dont often disagree with you re Angeball, but David is ideal for Angeball given his pace 2 footedness and high workrate, if we have Eze Maddison Son and Kulu on the field , remember what Ange did with his japanese striker at Celtic
Thoughts and prayers are with you mate for whatever reason is preventing you from doing more insightful videos. Your subscribers are going nowhere as there is no realistic alternative to your format and presentation. We will all still be here when you feel able to return. Take care.
The greatest compliment I can pay you is to say how quickly the time just flies as I watch and listen to your videos. I liken it to watching a film in the cinema. You know you've witnessed a classic when suddenly "The End" flashes up on the screen and it seems like you have been sitting there for hardly any time at all. Such diverse subjects covered in just under 35mins, all dealt with in some detail and clearly expertly researched by yourself. I'm feeling a lot more positive about things following this episode as your enthusiasm tends to be somewhat infectious especially when analysing potential new signings.
I'm tired listening some of our fans hyping up average players, Let's be honest we only going for David because he only got one year left on his contract and we can get him cheaper. Please let's this be a smoke screen for someone better 🙏
I empathize with you. But if we have to go cheap on David because we can get Marquee winger who can score and assist alot.. examples like Raphinha, Bakayoko, Chiesa etc. then im slightly satisfied. but still we should be aiming higher.
Well yeah but people were complaining the same way about Vicario, VDV etc while hyping up Madisson as our best signing (he still did good first half of the season but Vicario and VDV did much better).
@@mkphrakleio that's a lie, big vic and vdv are great young players, lots of people been hyping about, only question people ask if they can keep it up in prem, David it's been around for some time and I can tell you, he is average, I will be ok with him coming in if we have some quality up front, and we only needed some back up, but right now we got too many mediocre players up front and adding another one it's just pointless
Really missing your content Sean, hope you're OK........the world is a much better place with you and Bugsy in it putting all things Spurs into perspective and breaking things down in your inimitable style.......all the best and take care
I don’t believe Gold knows everything, although I like him he has been proved wrong a few times let’s wait and see. Makes no sense spurs bringing him to the club in a private box to then just dismiss him. Let’s wait and see. I still believe the proof is the number 6 position followed by a winger then a number 9
Why David? He's a superb profile fit in every aspect. The perfect rotation with Richarlison. You're missing his qualities, Sean. I've done a lot of research into him and he's deceptive. By his own admission, he's a team player, trading glory for doing the right thing, which can make his clips look lacklustre. The Athletic has him at a 95.4% profile match with Benzema. His positional play, fluidity, rotations, combinations, versatility, intelligence, defensive work rate, movement, ball-playing, 1-touch poaching instincts, timing. It's all spot on in terms of what Ange needs from a versatile 9. His raw data doesn't lie; in the right system and at the right PL club, he _will_ excel, I am absolutely confident of that.
Look up The Athletics "How Real Madrid could replace Benzema: The marquee signing, the data pick and more…" article for a decent summary of David. It's by no means the whole picture, but it's a good starting point.
@@MoTHFC Watching the odd 90 minutes tells you little (especially if it's an international game). Watch games, understand the data. They go hand in hand and aren't mutually exclusive. Data can tell you more than pure eye-test because humans are incredibly poor, generally speaking, at making judgements based on what they see, especially non-experts. We're a mess of biases and irrationality. Data helps fix our foibles, if you can read it.
Since you have done so much research, could you tell us this? I'm interested in what his weakness are. What aspects of football does he need to improve on? How could he develop as a player in the future?
@@sphong0610 He's still young, so has rough edges in several areas, but has steadily worked on improving his game overall. So I'd say his biggest weakness is overall inexperience. I'd add in consistency - he can be a bit anonymous if he's not getting chances; he doesn't generate much on his own. His hold up play could do with work too, but it's NOT bad. He's not the tallest, either, so his aerial stuff is not the best. He is, reportedly, a strong learner who absorbs information fast and translates that to output on the pitch. Whatever Ange wants him to do, he'll work hard on doing it - he is adaptable.
The double slit experiment was where physicists examined the behaviour of a beam of electrons as it passed through two pararrel slits onto a blank canvas. When observed the electrons behaved like matter and the end placement was determined by the positioning of the slits. However with no direct human observer, the electrons collapsed into a wave that were no longer bound by the confines of matter. In this case, Jonathan David when unobserved becomes an unstoppable band of energy, but when observed is a big useless lump of matter.
You can also refer to Schroedinger's Cat that introduces the idea of superposition. The cat is in a box with something that will kill it in a random time. You will only know for sure when you look. Before the observation you can say that the cat is dead and alive at the same time. A bit like our transfers, we hear that they are brilliant or rubbish, but when we observe them, they are actually shxt! 😊
I think the rumor on Tony is a negotiating tactic. Brentford want an unrealistic number for a guy who is 28 years old and in the last year of his contract. I think that they are going to find themselves short of buyers in the marketplace and that Tottenham will come back for him later in the window. They did this last year with their goalkeeper - they asked an unrealistic amount of money for him, and then they practically gave him to Arsenal for 24 million in the end. Regardless of his personality and history, for the right price tag, that guy would help our front line immensely in the attack. He is a handful for any center back - he is big, tall and strong. He’s good in the air, and he’s great with his hold up play. He is exactly the kind of striker We need upfront. ignore the personality for a little bit, he is the right fit.
Exactly.Everyone deserves a 2nd chance. If we wait and get him for like 40mil. He would improve us massively. IF, and IF, he does relapse at some point, we still have Richy, Son and our other attackers to finish the rest of the season. Heck maybe bring up Will Lankshear in a 30min cameo in Europa and see what happens. Yes a relapse would be a 40mil loss. but if we do a medical we could hire psychologists as an extra part of the medical to judge if he is likely to relapse. and keep psychologists checking up on him to keep him off betting.
No one is doing any business concerning international players right now - Euros, Copa America, Asia Cup, that covers just about any player we might be interested in or wanting sell.
Why do you aggregators usually miss one crucial point - it hardly EVER gets talked about. You keep obsessing about stats and previous performance. You seem to essentially ignore that fact that we have a coach who (hopefully) is there to make players better or adapt them to whatever role they require. I want players who are open to learn and improve. If Ange sees potential there, back it. So you get someone a bit b-grade at 20million or something. With the right manager, he becomes a great 50 mill player. It's a punt but everything is.
That's correct every player is a gamble except for a select few world class players that to be honest would cost $100 Million at the minimum. Tottenham has never spent that kind of money on one player and probably won't unless inflation keeps going up. BTW global markets are signaling a recession in most countries so there is that.
It doesn't surprise me that the Spurs hierarchy is sending out negative messages about certain players. I'm guessing the selling clubs want telephone numbers for their star man this early in the transfer window. Spurs prepared to play the waiting game and hope the price drops, maybe?
NevOakes....Cape Town...I'm really trying to understand why their is an issue with the signing of Toney...His in the last year of his contract at Brentford, then it's his age ( 28 )...If his age is the issue, and his valuation to high, then why don't we use players from the academy who are younger and ere on our books already...Throw them in at the deep end, then see if they can swim....Why are we afraid to use younger players compared to some clubs in the league who are giving their academy players a chance....TO DO IS TO DARE....Give them a look in ...You might just be pleasantly surprised ...
Turn the window on it's head... put Porro up front on the right to rotate with BJ, now buying a top class right back for 30-40 is possible. Add Kulu to.the for sale list. he doesn't fit on the right.. that's unless we put him in the nine to rotate with a-n- other. Ain't gonna be Richi.
I can see Kulusevski actually working quite well as a false 9 in some games and he does what Postecogleu seems to want from his striker which is basically press and be a nuisance. I know it was only Sheffield Utd but he played well in that game. Bit worried for this transfer window though as not many of the links so far would improve the team and Spurs already seem to be moving onto third and fourth choice targets
The new training wear sponsor is MGM. It don't think that's the film studio side, I think it's the gambling side that owns the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Personally, I'm not in favour of betting company sponsorship but, as the Ancient Romans used to say, _pecunia non olet_ (money has no smell).
With Toney you have the recent tragic example of Tonali. Newcastle paid big bucks for a great player and lost him for 2 years. AC Milan knew this was coming when they sold him.
A lot of players linked. We might get a couple. Then have the fun of our fans crying because we didn't get the one they liked. Never mind if we were ever in for them. Bring on august.
I would like to see That Sudakov guy, he's complete 💯✅ that one,i think he can play lot of positions starting right, left ,10,8,9 you mentione he's superb quality
If we don't buy L and R wingers that can get to the bye line, Angeball won't work. If the price is right, Solanke a better fit and risk than Toney or any the other strikers mentioned.
David. What I have seen against the better opposition is that he can’t step up. E.g Canada v Argentina, Copa last week. Flat track bully? Agree, seems to be becoming a sellers market, supply driven for the striker role Appreciate your informed comment on the finance side, Sean👍
Kvaratskhelia? Serious? With all respect for Spurs and fans base, come on people.. be serious! Forget to have any lil chances to get him or any Napoli players!
You didn't screw up, the information changed by the time you posted the video. It's not even a mistake. Annoying that he came out with that though as our targets continue to diminish and get lower in quality
easy solution DONT BUILD THE HOTELS wait for interest rates to go back down ffs no one wants these buildings only levy we are a football club not a holiday park
What is going on with spurs? I was under the impression that we would get our business done quick. What purpose do Lange and co serve if nothing is going to change from the days levy was overseeing transfers.
If we can get CHIESA I wont mind going cheap and getting David. Chiesa (1 yearl letft on contract, 30-40mil value) has old friends from Juve in Spurs so he can be convinced, as well as by Ange, and we know Paratici can work his magic. Have him start as our new RW mostly, then when Son starts dropping off, Chiesa will be his successor on the LW.
Guirassy for me i don't like how he finish his chances abit of ball holder he likes to hang on to the ball too much and there is risks that he he gets dispossessed quickly the rest i don't kno if it will work but am confident with dusan vlahovic Gnabri sane are a no they are finished products not surprise kompany came in and he is clearing them out
Ornstein just said Jonathan David in talks with Chelsea. Maybe Ali Gold is trying to throw everyone off the scent of our real targets. We tend to do our transfers later to get a better deal. We won't really know until we get the 'here we go'. Bakayoko would be a great buy btw.
Sean ... David can only be a makeweight...A proper striker like a Toney or Giminez 😮😮 Plus David yes....just Jonathan David in his own...NO NO NO!!! WE'VE GOT ENOUGH DUDS ALREADY 😮😮
He hasn’t uploaded in over a week no tweets in nearly a week. Something has happened, something much bigger than football. People gotta leave him alone for a while. I’m sure he’ll be back soon. Take care Sean
NevOakes....Cape Town....Can i suggest that we all just stop speculating....Lets just all relax, because whatever we suggest on this platform is not being taken seriously...At the end of the day,we are stressed out, because we havnt aquired the players that all the hype was about....Levy will sign, who he already knows he is going to sign, and of cause all our ranting and raving about signings are not even taken into consideration....So guys,my suggestion to you all is.....Sit back, and enjoy the ride....Our voices are a cry in the wilderness....Just a thought ..
After many years of MASSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT from Levys transfer policy and choices of bought players (some without the approval of sitting managers) just to save a few quid or hoping for a "diamond in the rough" that could become good and then be sold on for an unreal fee to the likes of Madrid etc. It seems that he is more concerned with the "bottom line and how much profit is made year on year", rather than success and trophies! That for me is completely disrespectful to the fans!
Toney too old, expensive and not a yes man so wont come. David we offered the lowest of the 4 clubs who want him. Jimenez is linked and we offered 30 mil pound plus bryan gil in dutch papers. Feyenoord is waiting if atletico or others can offer more.. Ali is just a tapin merchant and always speaks for the club. He doesnt know what he is talking about. Ofcourse spurs dismiss we made a bid for anybody. When was the last time they confirmed a bid? All the others are too expensive... its jimenez or no striker next season.. Which makes the werner signing more non sense. Levy financial club in a nutshell😅
Maybe Spurs' plan B for next season is 4-2-4 like the one we used against Mancity. No number 9 but 2 wide wingers and 4 midfielders. That way we can use Son- Eze- Maddison- Johnson(Kulu) upfront. Maybe Bis and Bantancur behind.
