Totally agree with you about Levy. His reputation as a tough negotiator is 75% hype but it is something that at times we can use to our advantage. I want to see us out of the starting blocks tomorrow and announcing signings / exits within days of the window opening (if not tomorrow itself). Be nice if we just offered the release fee for someone we really need and get our act together this time.

Sean, mate. Romero is under contract for another 3-years and you can imagine Ange's reaction if Spurs wanted to sell him under his rebuild. Plus the lashback against Levy if the Club decided to sell. I do not believe this is a prospective deal that will happen and I would be astonished if it did. Besides that, Real Madrid have a huge debt and Romero would be a very expensive deal in the 80m plus bracket. Real Madrid will look for a cheaper option to replace a player in the style of Sergio Ramos. I sleep easy with a story like this. COYS

Thoughts on Joakim Mæhle? Always liked him as a player for Spurs. He can play LB and RB and is really good with inverting and crossing. Danish National, impressed at Genk and the Danish National team and has played in several bigger leagues now. All that for about 10-15M

Players know who is interested in them so why would a player choose to be a bench player for Spurs over being a starting centre-back and chase trophies for Bayern Munich in a league he knows? He wouldn't choose us full stop. Transfers are months long, they haven't just told him they are interested, everything doesn't have to be in the press.

I agree RE the comment about us being slow out the gate. I thought we would of had at least 1 ‘big name’ player in, one of a midfielder, Gallagher, Eze or the striker but we’re not even close to anything and with the euros about to start that will halt deals. Gallagher already said now he’s focused on the euros so the whole getting players in early for Ange is done

I don't understand why we didn't go for free agents for that 4th CB spot. Lloyd Kelly, Tosin and Hermoso from Athletico were all available for free and we didn't even seem to look at any of them. Not sure Hermoso has a club yet so could still be an option.

Great video but saying KWP wasn't particularly good in the Championship isn't quite right. He was in the team of the year at left back which isn't even his primary position. As a back-up for LB and RB he could be OK depending on the price. It could give us an option to spend more money in the areas where the need is more urgent (in the 6, striker, winger etc.)

The fees we are getting back on outgoings are horrendous. Less than half what we paid for Spence, Lo Celso apparently can go for £10m, Gil probably £10m or less. Then all the others we let go for free that I won't mention. Luckily we have all those other revenue streams otherwise we'd genuinely be screwed. Also, Romero is a £100m player minimum. A world class world cup winner in his prime. Letting him go for anything less than that would be criminal.

Romero might have an agreement with Real Madrid to negotiate after next season. Real Madrid tends to do this with their prospects. I think that's the best case scenario for everyone. Maybe not so much for Real but they have players who can play CB

Another potential LB/LCB is Mario Hermoso. I think he’s a free agent after leaving Atleti. Also Hincapie but he’s unobtainable. I agree that we seem slow out of the gates and it’s a massive concern. Our PSR and FFP position should mean that we are able to prioritise signings before the 30th June but it doesn’t seem likely. The Werner deal makes less and less sense to me as the days go on especially if we are seriously considering Eze. I can’t see Romero going this summer. Real Madrid are getting Lenny Yoro and Alphonso Davies so I doubt they have the funds this summer. I can see it next year for 75-80m. and by then Vuskovic and Philips will be ready. I can’t help but feel angry at the club for getting us into the home grown mess. Because we are desperate clubs will pull our pants down. Other than Brennan, Austin and Maddison, all the home grown players we have will be gone in the next 2-3 years barring any shocks. I’d rather us sign 3/4 quality home grown players than fill every position we need with lower quality players which is how we usually operate.

Because Spurs didn't qualify for the CL it will be difficult to find top quality players willing to join them. The striker options available to Spurs are mediocre - Isak is probably the exception. Ezi is the best option as a permanent deal, then a few players on loan to get through next season and qualify for CL. If Spurs qualify for CL 2025-2026 they can then look for higher-quality players. Then there is the rumor of Spurs being sold, partially or whole - the owners won't want to outlay funds that won't add extra financial benefit.

We just don't know all the details. The window is yet to open. I think once the window opens we'll make a signing pretty quickly, hopefully sell a few and begin ramping up talks with serious targets. Euros are gonna make progress a little slow though I reckon

We dont need Ito just get Jacob Greaves from Hull City to do the rôle. I wouldnt be that sure that Udogie will have the injury issues Reece James has tbh. Every player is unique just look at Kyle Walker. He has a similar stature to Reece James and Udogie and his injury record is allright.

Calafiori was the ideal one… but I really believe now Calafiori is Juve bound, that Murillo is the one to fit the CB options with VDV is the cover for Udogie. There is an open window to exploit a desperate PSR position with Forest. £35m - £40m could bring them out of a breach and get a CB around £10m+ under his potential valuation.

Ito has a personal character flaw, his personal history is volatile and he’s not a nice chap, glad that Bayern have moved for him. Murillo would be a better option, but Forest are looking for ridiculous money, so that’s a non starter. I’m astonished we aren’t being linked to the following: K Thuram DM, Mathias Soule AM player, he looks amazing, is young enough to be moulded into the system I’m a fan of KWP and Edward’s for the home contingent perspective

Not here to defend him, but KWP made the EFL team of the year, and he was the Southampton player to make the list. So he was effectively voted the best RB outside of the PL last season.

I find it hard to be optimistic about spurs signings because of two words " Daniel levy" the man doesn't even have spurs interests at heart he's all about putting money into the bank and he doesn't care less about the team and the fans if things don't change we will end up with 3 or 4 players who would at best be squad players if I'm wrong I'll be the first to apologise but I don't think I will be cheers Barry Easthope spurs fan for 52 years

I take it you only looked at stats? He wasn’t bad at defending just his style of defending means he doesn’t have to do typical defending as much and thus does not rank high compared to other defenders in defending stats. Otherwise he’s quite effective, there’s a reason Bayern swooped.

Euros are around the corner. Id expect alot of moves to be made undercover of that. Plus most deals take time. Agents/players/families are waiting to see whats on offer, afraid to jump the gun. Others may not want to go but clubs want them to leave. Lots of balls need juggling.

Sean maybe stop making assumptions of who we're going for, what positions you think need covering, then missing out on players you think would work. Because it might be a totally different perspective to what ange and the scouting team think is required. Ange might think davies is better than ito. I don't know. But don't get worked up about it. We won't know till the end of the season (if then) if the transfers have improved us.

KWP may be a necessity now with Skipp going. We only have 2 club trained players. We may have to sell Romero to fund this rebuild and with Dragusin in place it's not the end of the world.

Money talks and if Madrid offer 70m + for Romero we should take it, and use that money for more players. Dragusin steps in so no worries there. We can bring in Vanderson and Murillo with the money from the Romero sell. That gives us much more to bring in Eze, Toney and maybe Gallagher. and still have money over to buy a back up keeper for Vick, and a LB cover for Udogie. and even a winger. To get 70m+ for Romero would be good business, as we will make a hefty profit on him for the 45m we paid out.

Ito is not a big blow i don't think he would cope with Ange high line and the intensity the league has just get Vanderson he will fit the system like a glove

Great news then...Ito is a miss. Romero is our spiritual leader. Not son. Ange demands early raids....we will soon see. I expect we will get 2 key starters at the least ...I hope
