Well done Lawson I was freaking shaking before during and after that fish. Thank you very much. You make a good video. Hope you and yours are safe and healthy
Ha!!!! I love watching your videos. Your an awesome kid!!! We have recently purchased some timeshare in Florida so my husband can pursue his love of fishing.... however after starting to follow you I may out fish him... thank you for your knowledge and the awesome videos.
That's a fish of a lifetime bro! Tarpon are so smart and so powerful that anything over 40 lbs is just rare these days. You did everything under the sun correctly to land him but that's as close as you can come and really after hand leadering him it's official anway. Nice job my dawg congrats on one badass fish!!!👍👍😎
Congratulations! What a job. I want to make it very clear to those who dont realize just how difficult that was for you to handle a fish of that size by yourself. Absolutely professional. Great job buddy. Truly well done.
Yeah anyone who doesn’t like this video, just straight up get off the channel stop watching fishing videos altogether. Go do something that don’t piss people off. Great video Lawson, awesome footage, I feel so bad you couldn’t show it off like you wanted too! But great work man! Keep it coming!
Beautiful tarpon! Those massive strikes at the beginning of the video were enough to make the video for me but that catfish really put the cherry on top Lawson😉.
Damn! Feel the pain Lawson. Can’t say I’ve ever had a Tarpon on that size, but I’ve lost a few other monsters at the boat that were heartbreaking. It’s always nice to have that pic with that PB fish you battled and set free.
That was as good as it gets Lawson! 60+ pounder all day. Enthusiasm defines sport fishing & just watching made my blood pressure spike Well earned, congrats!
Awesome stuff! I used to fish a canal that looked very similar 😉 back in the day. We used cut mullet with a weight. Those canals are loaded with big-ins!
Yoooo my dog!!!! I loooove the excitement in your voice!!! Bro this is why we do it!!! Ive never hooked a tarpon but this is the year i get er done!!! Great great vid homie💪👊
I LOVE watching you fish! Awesome Tarpon catch! The Bonus Footage at the end was cool, never heard you use the F-Bomb before, they would have heard me in Michigan if I had one break me off like that. Haven’t fished in three weeks, fuckers closed all my spots down, basically missed the bass spawn and that moon the other night...going in the morning, might get locked up but we shall see.
So suspenseful. Thanks for grinding it out to get an epic video hook up. I think you underestimated the size of that fish's weight. I'd say ninety pounder all day long. I've never landed a big tarpon, but it seems I saw a video showing the best way to grab them is with the fingers in the mouth and the thumb under the jaw. That looked like a serious challenge to land that fish. You got excellent video footage. Thanks for delivering another awesome adventure.
Nice video, nice fish! I've kayaked the empty flats of Tampa bay these past week. Saw some big reds and landed a few snook. Hooked a spoon before but took me for a sleigh ride. Tight lines bud. Keep em comin!
Damn bro congrats on having over 142k subscribers ...i subed back when u had nowhere near that. I'm happy for u man u got married n have a nice following online and I'm really glad to see u living ur best life bro. Enjoy every minute of it
Those were awesome blow ups! And what an epic fight! That's so much like monster bluefish up here in the Northeast. Fast, powerful, aggressive fish that have a good chance of coming off during their crazy tarpon-like jumps, play a tug-of-war type of fight, and start getting pretty crazy once they see the boat. I'm looking forward to more of this type of action Lawson, whether it be tarpon, jacks, snook, reds, or some of those 12 pound bluefish I've seen you catch.
Lawson, that was THE most awesome video and aside from the incredible monster Tarpon. You were steering the boat for the sake of the camera! I can’t begin to comprehend how you were able to juggle so many things just for us to see this gorgeous beast of a Tarpon. I would have had brown pants just trying to keep it hooked. So NOT Googan Squad. I’m glad you’re not an official member, they don’t deserve your class and skill in and out of the water. I hope you read my DM I sent several days ago. I hope you’re able to repair whatever needs repairing after this fish catch. I’m very glad you were able to be safe throughout this whole adventure and thank you so much for sharing this amazing fish with us. Thanks!
I miss the old song and finally a beast for my dawg Lawson live mullet for the win I think u should always fish like that keep live in the water and throw a spool tek at the same time should be a challenge series live vs lure
Definitely consider that beast landed. Nice battle bud. I once caught one over 80 from land in a canal in Port Everglades a long time ago. Never forget that battle.
Awesome vid! Last year I hooked into about a 125-150 lb tarpon on a 3000 reel. Took me over 5 hours to get him 5 feet from the boat just for him to break off. Amazingly strong fish and so fun to catch
Hell yea dog! Excellent poon bro my favorite fish in the world.. you did a great job proud of you, great to see your excitement. My gf and I went 0-3 last night on 60lbers they starting to show up good up here but we’ve had couple little cold fronts keeping water temp in low 70s so they rolling very little.. Great job dude
Lawson just from experience anytime your going for tarpon just have a good pair of fishing gloves handy and try to put them on while your fighting the tarpon when you have a window to do so! You would if definitely got that tarpon. Hands down incredible footage and catch thanks for sharing this brotha! Stay safe and healthy sir
Absolute savagery! Solo fishing for monster Tarpon!? Awsome vid. Crazy catch! I work on the road and watching you fish keeps me grounded. Tarpon is at the top of my list. Keep ripping em for us!
Dude -- that was dope!!! One hell of a tarpon! Nice, damn nice. Congrats on that PB. Just Wow! Long day it seems but well worth it, huh? Knew it was comin' dude -- well deserved!!! Don't worry about the nah-sayers/haters ---- they are jealous of things they can't do themselves and can't stand when someone has success or tops them ... which they'll rarely ever succeed at anything. You're doing it solo my man... in the daylight/daytime!!!! --- Your channel, along with one other --- absolutely the best available!!!!
First of all congrats on the beautiful tarpon. I used to mate on a charter boat out of the outer banks in my youth, fished all the tournaments in the carolinas, caught some big blue marlin, by big i mean over 400 lbs, but in my opinion there is no fish more badass than big tarpon! Pure energy. Maybe when this is all over you should take a trip to nicaragua and go tarpon fishing. Monsters await.
Awesome Tarpon. My wife is friends with your mother her name is Meagan Panton. I subscribed to your channel a while ago you’re doing a great job. I watched at least one video at night. First time commenting though. I just got a tsunami saltX 6000 ! I’ve been Tarpon fishing with some huge 7 inch pencil baits and I’ve been smashing the tarpon. Nothing quite that big but pretty good. Just across from MacArthur Park there’s some paths that you can get down and fish from the beach there. Some mangrove action but mainly out in the middle is where they’re striking. I know your commute to put the boat it is way up in Sebastian probably. Anyways keep up the good work love the channel
Nice fish!! Sucks that it broke off attempting to land it, would have liked to see it up close. Well done anyways, way to hang in there and grind it out all day, was worth it.
Really good show . Tarpon are like a large mouth on speed . Great fight . But an FYI . A pod is a group of whales ... Fish are still called a school . Anyway you really do us all great by your work and i'm kinda envious . Keep up the good work and enjoy it . Thanks ...
I know you were disappointed about losing that fish but I appreciate the fact that you showed that you lost it and that mishaps do happen but at least you got him close you got to see him right up close one-on-one I appreciate your videos thanks a lot they inspire me
It is a touhed leader and you actually touched the poon so that counts as a caught fish! That poon was all day a 70 pounder!!! I have played with them size tarpon and they are no joke! My largest one stands between 180 and 200 pounds and it was just over 6 ft long! Congrats on your catch there Lawson!
