I was sitting at a table where the house would pay the double downs for free(essentially to get you to double in spots you shouldnt). This lady bext to me was ripping into me for not taking the free doubles in spots you shouldn't. After I was done went to slots for a half hour and when I was done walking out I see this same lady hit the blazing 7s without putting the 5 on the bonus. All I can say is it was perfect timing and I had fun with that one 😂

I was a dealer where if you got three suited seven it was five thousand dollars and the lady had been playing it but forgot to put the dollar out and then it hit. That was about twenty five years ago.
A progressive jackpot becomes +ev to play once the prize of hitting the jackpot is greater than the amount of bets you’d have to place before being dealt that exact hand. In this case a $5 bet for a 1.3 million dollar pot is extremely +ev because the math says you’ll hit that jackpot long before you lose 1.3 mil.
Break even on that bet is about $500k jackpot. And if you play enough BJ you probably will hit it at some point. You should get it about 1/125,000 hands in a six deck game.
That shit did in fact hit when I didn’t play it, it was around 260k & the even shittier part is that was the only bet I didn’t place on the jackpot bet bc I ran out of 5’s
