Hey Adam good to see you out there catching them huge rainbow trouts. I noticed your secret to catching fish and that is if you mess with your phone or eating your lunch and that's a guarantee hook up lol just saying. Anyways epic video Adam stay safe out there and have a blessed day and Happy Holidays to you and your family. Aloha from Kansas
I have never heard the last trout called a lightening trout. I know them by Palamino. It’s basically a recessive rainbow trout gene that stocking has brought out through selective breeding. Basically an albino rainbow trout.
See planting information for the East bay lakes you will see them listed as lightning trout. Super cool that they do this for us. They spread em out not every lake gets a lightning trout plant. Tight lines 👍
Bet you spent about $50-60 on those pay per pound fish , besides day fishing fee. Some stocked pay per pound lakes allow only 1 rod n reel . Check their rules . Thanks
Let me guess, pardee?Amador? Camanche? Looks like a foothill reservoir in norcal and those lakes are known for planting big lassen strain trout and lightning trout.
The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel ru-vid.comUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.
At 4:30 I was wondering what pound test are you using? I’m from Indiana I use light line on everything. Have friends that use 10-20. I use 6 on most everything. I do put 8 on the two bait casting reels that I own. But that’s as high as I go. Sometimes 4 if the water is really clear.
Is this all you do for income? California isn’t a cheap place to live. And wow I can’t believe the size of those trout. How are they to eat? Or do you smoke them. I think you could eat almost anything smoked.
Hey Adam , your a damn good fisherman! Appreciate the tips 🙏🏻, I know exactly where your at ( don’t worry I’ll keep my mouth shut😏) I’ve been there 3 times skunked every time ( mostly going for big cats) I think I need to go right after a stock like you probably do 🤔
Woooo hoooo😂booyahh 💪💪👏👏👏👏amazing !the sounds of your reel is music to my ear 👂 😅those are whoopers 👏hey brother,is that Lake Chabot Park ?what a beautiful lightning trout ❤❤
@@Memo-nd6fj you know what sir ,we can tell what kind of person are you ,the way you question me like that .. Merry Christmas to you ! And that’s good so the Park will get more customers. And they can earn money to maintain the Park . And first of all I didn’t tell everyone,I was asking Adam !!! God bless
No they're not. They're a genetic mutation of the rainbow trout that has been developed over decades. They don't crossbreed true golden trout and rainbows together although some hybridization does happen out in the wild. A true golden trout doesn't look like a banana, they have spots and parr marks and olive green on top
@@DieHardFishing Every time someone mentions something you do that is illegal or not good for the survival of endangered fish, one of your WOKE trolls will start harassing them. You need to make a public announcement about not using trout, a fin fish, as bait for your crab nets. And please delete your urban salmon videos. All you are doing is enabling and encouraging poachers who don't care about you or our environment, let alone our country!
Reminds me of Lake Chabot... Cachuma is doing well right now.. 4,000 pounds of larger rainbows planted. Easy limits. Get hold of Ed, hook to cook. You know who...
Even though you didn't get da bite on camera it was still kool seeing him jumping in da back @6:38 awesome catches Adam👍🏽I'm still waiting for my lightning lol 🤙🏽
Is your favorite color Royal blue? just curious because its mines too. I seen your water bottle, sweater, fish net and reel lol Just an observation. Love the video keep it up. You gained my sub.
Good fishing and some nice trout there. Have you seen the limits they catch on RU-vid in New Zealand? You can hit a 100 pounds in a limit in New Zealand
Where is this lake? I live in the South Bay Area and would love to hear your recommendations of good places for trout fishing. I don’t have a boat or kayak so off shore would be my preference.
Hey adam Nice to see you in the fresh water as well If you're interested in doing some more fresh water fishing I have a Island on the Delta in disappointment slew If you ever wanna go camping and do some fishing for bass and striper Hit me up
Looks like you got in on the tail end of a trophy stocking. Moved from PNW to the east coast, and trolling for trout was one of my favorite things to do. Good stuff!
Do not use trout as bait for your crab nets, again. IT'S ILLEGAL AND IT'S A HUGE FINE! and also a very bad example. You should make a public apology to silence your trolls.
@@michaelgonzales2057 it's called protecting the environment, ie game fish. You wouldn't want us to turn into China or Mexico environmentally, would you?
Never seen this type of trout fishing wow! Paid? Do you now have to weight the fish and pay per lb? Hope not cause you got quite the stringer of poundage there. lol
