Hi! I’m new to all of this and I started to feel like this could be my calling! But I’ve recently came across some videos/discussions on social media of moms speaking about their experiences with daycare, some even going as far as to say daycare is not good for kids at all long term because it does damage to the child. They said research has been shown and it’s been proven, I feel as though this is my dream but feel very discouraged. Have you heard anything about this? What are your thoughts ?
Hi thank you for sharing your feedback. I made a Video titled "Why you NEED to start a Home Daycare." I think that would be great for you to watch. I advocate for Home Daycare because I'm a Passion Early Childhood Educator & growing up in a low-income area, I have seen first hand the many struggles that both children & families face. There are MANY single mothers who need to work to be able to provide for their children & while Daycare may not be for every family, some families NEED it. And So, I wouldn't be discouraged to start a Daycare, especially if you feel called to work with young children. Strong, loving & Passionate Educators can make a huge impact in the lives of Young Children & families. We can provide families with safe, loving, interactive environments while also being a positive resource to Parents/Guardians.
