As a person who was born and raised in Delaware, I gotta say that you're accurate in all of this. But to each his own, and I plan on moving back home

Crime is not bad in Delaware. There is some as expected but not anything i would ever worry about.

Thank you, Zack...None of these cons are issues for me coming from New York. I'm several years away from making the move but in the meantime I'll live vicariously in Delaware through your website. I'll contact you as soon as I'm ready.

sounds like the author lives in central/southern DE based on most of his views and points. The upper 1/3 of DE all feels densely surburban or urban. 10-30 minutes from a major airport or city and very high traffic (with poorly constructed infrastructure). Public trans is awful and mainly used by very low socioeconomic population. Wilmington is a small city that relies on corporations, but lacks population to support other local businesses. Crime is very high, including violent crime and in 3-5 block areas in all sections of the city. The other 2/3 of the state function very differently. Population is much lower. Feels like rural/ suburban living. Not close to major cities or any airports. Crime is lower and the vibes are slower overall. Entire state relies essentially on 1-2 highways (DE is a very narrow state and by design only 1-2 roads travel the entire state). Any stats or generalizations made about DE should be broken down by areas. However, if you're looking for any sort of city or commerce then you'll need to be in the northern area. It also seems to go unmentioned that due to the small size of the state, you're never really more than 20 minutes from a neighboring state.

Have you tried using SEPTA before for travel to Philadelphia? It’s only 30m from Claymont station with hourly service on weekdays. Not bad by American standards, not sure where you are getting this information.

@@GeldaStPete I was referring more to Deldot and the local busses. I'm fortunate to have a car, but am aware of the issues with local busses. Agree, that 30 mins is not a bad ride though to Phi

if you can find a place in pike creek, hockessin, north newark, off kirkwood highway...you should be ok...though anything can happen anytime anywhere

Another nice video. I think Milton is a decent town where you are close enough to both bay/ocean beaches, coastal towns, and shopping without having to be in the thick of traffic in the summer. I really feel Milton is going to grow because of those reasons, and slowly your opportunity to get a bargain there, where you cannot elsewhere near the coastline, will diminish for middle income retirees and families. Please try to make an extended, NEW video on Milton. It’s an undiscovered gem, . . . for now. 👍🏻

P.S., Milton has a very low crime rate. 👍🏻

Wow, I don’t know how anyone would think Delaware doesn’t get snow as far up in the states it is. I’m strongly considering Sussex County though.

I'm from NY and owned a second home in Milton Delaware for three years. In Winter the temperature in Delaware was always a couple of degrees warmer than the Tri-state area. That couple of degrees warmer often spared them many of the snowfalls that hit the Tri-state area.

No, its so built up now in 24, traffic is awful 365 days now .. just saying
@jessecohen8780

totally agreed!! the lower parts of DE haven't developed any roads to deal with seasonal traffic. NCC has some awful merges that back up all the artery roads for miles. All the traffic talk in the video missed completely that bordering nearby cities makes the traffic much worse by people from out of state that are just passing through.
@joejohnson2478

This is true. Even taking the back roads, avoiding Coastal Highway, is pretty congested.

Not bad by American standards, not sure where you are getting this information about it being “very bad”, it’s quite good. Better than cities like Tampa, Miami, Chicago (METRA Regional rail)

I love your videos brother, but minor leagues is professional , they get paid to play. What you mean is we don’t have major league teams or nba teams. But these minor league guys don’t play for free, in fact some of them drive some very nice cars, some of them signed multi million dollar contracts and are working their way up which takes years to get to the highest level, and of course most never make it
@Zachary-Loft
@Zachary-Loft 4 месяца назад
I hear your take, but our teams in DE? Not bringing in millions. For here at least. Would love to have some of the higher level teams make there way into our market for my own selfish reasons 😂😂
