Thank you for this breakdown! I'm interested in DE also. I currently live in MD and would not prefer to retire here in 5yrs. I plan to travel to DE in May 2024 to look around.
I grew up in Delaware and lived there for 40 years. The counties are all different. I grew up in Kent and lived for most of my life as well as Sussex County. The place I prefer the most if Sussex County. My preference used to be Sussex for living and going to Kent for things like Spence’s Bizarre.

8:59 What a coincidence I wasn't expecting to hear that in a RU-vid video. I moved from New Castle to Rt #12 \ Main Street in Felton about a year and a half ago.
Thinking of buying in Frankford at a new development called The Estuary. Noticed the high water table around it and concerned about flooding. My questions are, is Frankford a good place to buy, and should I be concerned about flooding?
This is really helpful. We are looking at Smyrna possibly. We are looking to move in the next year from Annapolis. It is just getting way too expensive here. Don't really want to be in a city & we have grown children so schools aren't important. My hisband is in trucking which is how we came up with Smyrna, because he's had to go there a few times. We don't know anything about DE to know where else to look.
Our daughter and family relocated to Baltimore area so we are moving to be close to her and grand kids. Maryland too expensive but Delaware is more affordable for us.@@Zachary-Loft
