Thank you for the: "Everyone's a game designer." part of the statement. That one really resonates with me, I love hearing peoples suggestions and ideas for the game, but they almost never come from game developers. People under-estimate how time consuming it is to make certain things.
There were complaints from players who did not like the previous quick play hacked that it ruined their whole weekend of gaming. Can't please everyone, I guess..
Good start. But when they do it for real, it should be passives tailored for each hero, or it will open a whole new gate to balancing hell. For instance; Zarya can choose between bubble both teammate and herself at the same time, or laser longer and right click slows. Tracer can refund some cds after getting a kill, or gain speed and overhealth after using recall. You know, encouraging different play styles.
Hopefully, if this works, they can make a whole bunch of passives that people can choose from by changing how their characters play, giving the players some agency. 👍
I'm down for this, hero shooters often get stale since everything is rigid and never changing character wise, so giving you a bit of personation is a win, And honestly I feel like this game does need a more complexity
I wish your videos were a bit longer. Your voice is amazing, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on the passives in more detail. For example, Ana would benefit a LOT from the 20% extra movement speed, but Mercy would get a great benefit from the reduced cooldowns.
I already tried it a few matches with every role and I can say that I enjoy this hacked QP more then I first would have imagined. Simply having the choice to give yourself a buff which either fits your playstyle or benefits the hero the most is fun.
While I like the idea, I envisioned a more specific set of passives per hero, so heroes like Hanzo or Zenyatta don't get left out due to incompatibility with any of the common passives. Guess we'll see how it pans out (maybe they can do specific passives in the future).
I love this one, you get to customize your heroes and optimize your unique playstyle, or coordinate with others for some crazy combos, really represents everything overwatch is supposed to be
I've played a couple games of QPH, and it's not bad I think. The thing I like about it, is well... that it's passive xD It's not something you have to think about and be like "oh yea I have this" as with abilities. It's something e extra in the background such has the armor or extra healing. Not something extra you need to remember on top of your kit in game. Of course you do need to choose the passive, but that's before a match or when you're not in combat. GREAT VIDEO!!!
I am… intrigued. I’ve watched a few people playing it on steam and honestly it looks really fun. Wish they’d done this over the weekend so I could really deep dive into it, instead of having to wait until after work.
And you are crazy, paladins loud outs is what made the game awesome. It literally changed the way you can play each championship so it never really got boring cause you can always rework your loud out. It was amazing.
Sounds like they’re rigging the PvE talent tree into the game how they can. Do numbers stack/multiply? If I get a kill on Sombra with speed buff does that make my invis speed buff faster? I’m betting that hog breather resource generation isn’t boosted with that talent either…
I would love for them to take the fortnite vault system aproach to this mechanic, every season have 3 passives for every role and every season those change, veteran players have something new to play every season and new players have few things to familiarize with
I love it. I hope they keep it. I was able to win a match as a tank by switching some of these. At the end I switched so the debuffs didn't last long and I swear it saved my life.
Love the videos! I've been watching since season 8 of OW2, really excited for the pickable passives and to see how everyone feels about them. I think them keeping passives in the game will be an amazing addition if they keep it fun and simple.
How do you all feel about variants for overwatch heroes? Basically you get to choose between different abilities, weapons and stats made for different ways to play the same character?
I have had some time to play this patch and I think that this is not the play. I found the passives too difficult to think about how they could be using it against me. And people were definitely abusing it. I would rather 6v6 come back and less passives its too much power creep.
so 20% extra ammo on tracer isnt good?, 30% speed boost after a kill isn’t good for dragon blade? seeing people through walls when they are low isn’t nice?
@@-NoNo. I played a match on attack as Reaper with the frenzy-passive and I had a blast playing. As soon as you get one kill you can snowball with some luck and with his own mobility I was all over the place.
Tracer does not need extra ammo it just get exposed for more time, genj already reset dash after a kill and already have permanent bonus speed same as tracer, and wehn someone is very low health there is good chance THE ONES WHO HIT IT already have seen where he went.
