Biggest Retcon in WoW History 

I distinctly remember people speculating about what the Alliance race would be in TBC in chat when I was playing WoW, and saying, "Whatever it is, it definitely won't be the draenei. That'd be really stupid."

I actually only found out about the Retcon because the original version is written in an In-game book that can be found in Wolrd of Warcaft ever since Classic XD

I think its debatable whether the retcons in modern WoW were actually retcons. For example, while the writers openly admitted that the Draenei story was a retcon, they didn't do the same with the SL Nathrezim retcon. Before, it was always stated that the Nathrezim were an original demon race, and it didn't come from in-game character dialogue either, but from the writers themselves. However, they changed this by saying the dreadlords were originally created by Denathrius, and they were always an agent of death, and not the fel. The only difference between these two changes in my opinion, is that the retcon of the Nathrezim is instead labeled as previously "unknown" information (too bad it was unkown by the writers too 💀), unlike the Draenei one, which openly admitted it. But its still a retcon, because it wasn't built up and/or wasn't build upon the previous statements.
