Biggest Solar Storm in 20 Years Has Hit Our Planet. It's Not Over Yet. 

I'm 70+ years old and I have seen a lot of SHTF situations in that time. From the Cold War and the Cuban Missile Crisis to the OPED Oil Embargo of the late 70’s. Don’t forget the more recent Y2K scare and The Mayan calendar scare on 12-21-12. In between all of that, right up to today, was floods, droughts, wild fires, wars, terrorist attacks and much more. Most recently was the Tamarack Fire of back in 2021. I had to evac for two days. Where there once was Pinon pine forests and open expanses of sage and chaparral, now look more like a scene from Mad Max. All of this was suppose to be the end of the life as we know it. I have survived all of that and I plan to survive a bit longer. I might be getting older, but I refuse to grow up. I tried it once and it scared the heck outta me. 🤠

I live in Scotland and we see the Northern lights a lot but yesterday I was in my elderly Mums house and she asked me to turn off one of her lamps ,So I went over and switched it off and it stayed on flickering and i thot it was the switch so I unplugged it and I swear it was still on but not as bright and flickering, I just left it unplugged,Crazy stuff Nature.❤

This should be shared as much as possible because people in general, panic and spread rumours about such events.People should be Astronomy literate from young age, that would help them to navigate such events with ease (without panic). Thanks for such an informative episode!! 🙏💫🌌❤️

Hi! I loved this video!..👍🏼 It's good info. that we should all be aware of! In 1989 I was living in a Montreal suburb when that solar flare hit us without being informed it was coming! My young kids were playing in the back yard that afternoon... As I went outside to bring them snacks, my jaw dropped when I saw my little boys running to me with pinkish faces!..😳!? When they saw me coming, they ran to me excited & laughing as they shouted... ""Mom..look! Look at us!"" as they propted out their hands & stretched out their necks to show me their faces! All I could hear in my mind was "Don't panic..Stay calm!" So the only thing I could say was ""Wow! Don't you look cute in pink!"" as my heart was thumping in my chest! That's when I realized that a light pink hue had overtaken the yard! I don't really know how the pink sky didn't get my first attention? Worried for the children, I suppose... Then I heard people talking loudly up in front of the house... With no tall trees to block the view, we all saw the whole sky had turned a bright pink that left it's coloured hue on our faces & discoloured everything thing else! Many people started to show real concern! Some believed it could be toxic.. Some called to God's protection... Those who were just coming out of their homes waving at the crowd shouting... "The news is saying that Sun flares are creating Auroras!" Then I naively said.. ""Don't Auroras usually come in coloured waves??""..🤔? In Canada we're used to wavy, beautifully coloured Auroras except that they usually appeared at night! A bit relieved, I turned to go back in the house to listen for more news on the radio...Seems some damage was done in more Northern areas that were easily being repaired! We were advised to shut our electric breakers till the skies cleared out or when the news stated that Hydro Quebec said everything was back to normal! For one thing, being a mom, my first concern is always for the kid's wellbeing..so, at that time I didn't really understand why I was hearing many of my street neighbors spending the rest of that day on their decks!.. Well..now that I think about it..of course, with electric breakers shut down, they took advantage of their outside grills! While my mind was set to order restaurant delivery!..😏! Been paying attention to the sky in the past weeks & no Auroras to see in my neck of the woods! Yeah! I now live in a rural area in the Laurentian Mountains & most nights are covered with a mist.. I'm thinking that this could be the reason! I've been seeing videos of Countries getting an eye full of beautifully coloured waves!! However, since I learned about Earth's Magnetic Field thinning out while the Sun's flares possible danger on us, I no longer get excited when Auroras appear! Well I don't worry so much anymore since I've become a bit of a Preppy since 1989..😊! I have an outdoor grill of course but what's really cool is that my now adult sons built me an outside Stoned Oven they saw on YT. ... They both live in B.C. I don't get to see them as often as I'd like but when they do visit with their families it's for 10 to 15 days & they always make sure that I can easily take care of myself!.. Have a great Summer this year but make your life self-sustainable by every possible means...A great Unknown is hanging over our heads & under our feet! The weakening magnetosphere is a key piece of the puzzle, also. Lesser strength of flares and lesser density of CMEs cause bigger storms.

Well,that’s a good analogy to our solar system,but there’s still so much more to astrophysics not many people can grasp,no mention of our own planet going through polar flip and magnetic fields changing

8:10 FYI Quebec's electrical grid is much more important to the American North East today than it was in the late 80s, the province is expanding its hydroelectricity export to New England across various new power line projects. The same outage today would have vastly more important consequences.

You forgot South Africa. The southern lights were visible in South Africa too... Also another thing you forgot in 2003 the solar flares caused blackouts in South Africa causing transformers to explode.

My nervous system has felt like I’m in a combat zone again. Then I find out there are solar storms going on. Correlation? Causation? Don’t know, it’s a single data point. An interesting one though ✌️

From my ham radio station in the West Virginia Highlands I have noticed great upheaval in reception - Most Northerly signals have been nulled, while Southern signals have at times been boosted. A few nights ago, I was picking up South American stations on the AM radio broadcast band.

We are in southern England. Never seen the Northern lights where I live before. These were spectacular. Blue in one direction and red/green in the other.

Sorry, you are incorrect. The auroras were seen all the way south to Cuba and here in Honolulu, Hawaii which has not happened since the Carrington even from the 1800s

This last solar storm only produced small x flares. The 2003 Halloween storms produced x45. Even then we did t see aurora to the equator. The last time that happened was 103 yrs ago with an x50. This time we saw aurora at the pokes from minor x flares. Can you see we’re up the creek where the failing magnetosphere is concerned? Minor X flares should not be a problem.

We had a once in a lifetime Aurora light show in the city of Melbourne,and Victoria Australia. It was insane. Never seen before that far North in Australia and not even winter. We had a beautiful light show in the lowest state in Oz, Tasmania as well, which is above Antarctica. Magic happening in the sky all over the world lately, so stunning. ❤❤❤

And it did no damage, don’t sweat the small stuff, there are plenty of more serious things to worry about.

That’s why you could see the Aurora around Smithfield, not to far from me. Sadly it was a cloudy night and a lot of light pollution where I was that night.

This would normally take X30 to X50 to occur, we are screwed within the next 5/10 years.

So just think what would happen to ones Electric vehicle. It could get shut down during travel, or worse yet fires could occur if charging. Don't recall being at risk when driving or Fueling a Gas powered vehicle.

It is just a matter of time before we get hit by an CME so powerful that cell phones and power grids will go down for days or weeks. Many people have already purchased Generac Natural Gas Generators as long term backup.

New Zealand has seen about 5 lots f southern lights , in the far north of the country . Each display , was magent in color , and quite sold across the sky . Beautiful to behold , though getting caught in a flare or cme , with nerve damage often gettin charged up , to past pain killer releif . Enjoy the incoming solar weaher , and try not to get to burnt .
