Number 3 the “Michigan stadium” is actually called the big house. It has a recommended capacity of 107,000 people. But it doesn’t have seats it has benches. So it’s gone as high as 115,000

@@l5kywa1kermemes28 the Cowboys stadium has a listed capacity of 80,000 though it can be expanded to 105,000 for things like the Super Bowl. Yes, they had 105,000 for their first game too. Let’s not forget that FedEx Field at one point had a capacity of 91,000 but now it holds only 67,000.

134,000 - 1997 Federation Cup Semi-Final between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan holds the record for the largest audience for a Indian football match. The match, played on 13th July 1997 at Salt Lake Stadium, drew 134,000 spectators. This is a record attendance for any sport in India.

The most impressive thing to me about the top United States stadiums is that they are generally all in small college cities of less than 250,000 people, which shows just how popular college football is to be able to fill a 100,000 seat stadium. For instance , the entire population of Ann Arbor Michigan is only 121,000, but the big house sells out every home game by drawing people from hundreds of miles away. Big difference compared to filling a crickett stadium in a city of 30 million people in India

Stanford University had a 100,000+ stadium that hosted a Super Bowl in 1985 but remodeled it to a much smaller capacity due to lack of demand.

Stadium Australia shows as 82,500 but is actually 83,500, but doesn't change it's current rankings. However, during the 2000 summer Olympics, it had 115,000 capacity when the record Olympic attendance figures of 114,714 was set during the closing ceremony. It too, was also remodelled after the Olympics to it's current configuration.

In der ehemaligen DDR stand auch ein Stadion mit 100,0000 Sitzplätze und 10.0000 Stehplätze. Das war das Zentralstadion. Heute wurde wegen der WM in Deutschland 2006 Glaube ich ,die RB Leipzig ARENA hinein gebaut.

Although you did not include AT&T Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys) because their standard capacity of 80,000 falls just shy of making it in the Top 30, when they are permitted to sell standing room tickets for special events like the Super Bowl, they have been able to hold 105,000 fans.

Koq Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) tidak disebutkan ? Kapasitas maksimum 150.000. Jumlah tersebut pernah tercapai waktu Persib menjamu PSV Eindhoven, sekitar akhir thn 1980-an. GBK memang stadiun tua tapi kapasitas penontonnya sangat besar.

A stadium is quite a bit different to kilometres/miles long race circuit. Can’t compare the two as a stadium has all spectators in a confined space while a race circuit is a much larger space and spread out over a rather large distance.

#1 I hear has been made smaller for safety reasons, and fits 114K now, so India gets the #1 spot.... Funny enough our large stadiums here in the US are college Football stadiums, our largest NFL stadium is the New Jersey Meadowlands stadium you saw there with 82K

India's population is also no.1 in the world. Narendra Modi stadium is large, no doubt. But Ahmedabad has a population very close to London's population. London itself has over 20 large stadiums and many other smaller ones. How many stadiums are there in Ahmedabad? May be 2 or 3 proper sized ones? Total up the seats available in the entire city of London and also Ahmedabad and you'll see the difference. London's top 6 stadiums have capacity of over 40,000 and Wembley is largest at 90,000. And yet, people from London never boast of living in a city that has the most number of stadiums and the most number of total stadium seats across the city.

It's false, biggest stadium is Great Strahov stadium in Prague, Czech Republic and it had capacity of 250,000 people. It is large as 9 soccer fields inside. But nowadays is hosting nothing.

It should be noted that race tracks are not considered stadiums. Their capacity is much larger. For instance, Indianapolis Motor Speedway seats 257,325

⁠@@kreitousthey aren’t even amateurs anymore. Some of them make more money in college than they would in the nfl. Plus college football is way better than the nfl in terms of history, prestige, traditions, emotions, and overall fan passion.
