Biggest Update of 2024 for International Students in Canada | No more Work Permits for Students 

To all those kids watching and reading the comments here, if you're coming to study here firstly choose your course WISELY. Do some research yourself. Also if possible don't come after 12th and even immediately after graduation, come with some experience of atleast 3-5 yrs. The job market is very very very tight! You need to have some experience to get a job or else you'll be asked to leave the country. Lastly this will get a lot of hate, but don't come here with just one goal of PR, come here with a plan, what do you plan to do or work as. Have some extra goal in life. Here both the folks without PR and with PR are struggling. This will sound stupid but probably other cities in India are doing really well like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune. Looks for opportunities there, your life is far better there with a decent office job. This especially goes to folks from Punjab, I'm seeing a lot of Punjabis struggling here. Please think 10 times before coming here.

It could have been more stringent but it's a good start. They should now implement it rigorously. This would ensure that only bright students make it through and will help arrest the falling reputation of Indian immigrants.

Despite such detailed instructions, you will see comments asking: "Sir, I have applied for (name of course) yesterday; will I get PGWP???"

Please save yourself the money pit and don't come. No part time, full time jobs, Housing is very expensive, Groceries have become expensive in the past 1.5 year. India is way better, if u can do a masters in India itself, invest a couple more years to jump up in designations. Just save yourself and don't come to canada please. Its a great country, but for people who are already set up here, not at all for newcomers unless u are coming with no debt and a STEM job offer in hand.

This is good move from Canadian government.

Scammers aren't necessarily found at night in streets, they can be found in broad daylight, in a high end building downtown wearing an expensive suit.

I think they should make IELTS test mandatory for everyone. And keep it at 6 or 7!

What you explain in this video which is for those students who has applied their study permit after 1 Nov 2024. I am attaching 2 screenshots from IRCC website one is for who applied study permit before Nov 1 and other one is after Nov 1. Who has applied before Nov 1 they don’t require eligible field of study criteria. It’s applicable for those who will apply their study permit after NOV 1. 1:45 Brother, how is the transport sector? Are jobs available in that catagory? Suppose your a truck driver in India, then, can you 1) Move to Canada without studying there? 2) Join a truck driving school and apply for license? 3) Join a transport company and start working? Please answer these questions. Basically I want to avoid the study route and enter as a foreign worker directly, like you can in USA via H1B visa.

If you graduated from a university bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or doctoral degree program no additional field of study requirement only ielts 7 need.. No one talk about this don't know why...most of the student apply for either bachelor’s degree or master’s degree so they can select any pogram. and you will get pgwp.. this rule effect mostly diploma and certificate type of pograms... so select bachelor’s degree or master’s degree and you don't need to worry about anything.
