My favoured moment of Horus Heresy is written in "The Honoured". After the Veridian sun burned the surface of Calth. A squad of Cathapratti Terminator of the ultramarines was marching under the sun to a underground facility. Inside a ocean of flame they were keeping going to get cover. Even when their camera was broken and marching blinded, they were still tryng to get to cover and meet their brothers. .

My favorite moment in all of the Horus Heresy was Sanguinius' stand at the Eternity Gate. Just imagining the the Angel tearing through thousands of traitor marines and daemons, flying into the sky to take out aircraft, and even singlehandedly taking out a titan is just awe inspiring.

this is probably the only battle report series on youtube that gets me seriously excited to see people play with little plastic minis, the quality is amazing and i absolutely love the dawn of war voice-lines. As for my favourite moments from the heresy, its probably when lorgar breaks the news of horus' treachery to guilliman. Its one of the few times we see an enraged guilliman, as he shouts and swears at lorgar, even asking "you shit Lorgar, are you drugged?!" and threatening to gut him, all while Lorgar chuckles and calmly speaks to guilliman.

My favourite story moment has to be sanguinius slaughtering two titans and then staring down three more and all of them run away. It just shows the ridiculous power of the primarchs and how unhinged sanguinius was by the siege.

I absolutely love the tale of Magnus The Red in its entirety. Seeing his struggle to warn The Emperor, and only resulting in bad things makes you feel bad for him. And then after the Battle of Prospero, you understand why he turned to Chaos.

A thousand sons, was my favourite of the horus heresy books, even though I'm a dark angels guy. The way Graham mcneill done the book was amazing. I think it was more sad than when horus turned as magnus never wanted to be a traitor, even though I knew what was going to happen all through the book I still hoped it was going to turn out differently.

Yet again, I'm blown away by the quality of these battle reports. The voiceovers, special effects, voicelines, everything is just stunning. I loved it. My favorite story moment from all of horus heresy has to be Loken describing to the remembrancer Oliton all of the elements that had surprised him or irked him (from horus rising). It's my favorite because it shows that space marines, no matter how fearless or invulnerable to human flaws, still are human in a sense. That scene is just so beautifully written and really struck me like nothing else did in the heresy books.

My favorite Heresy moment was in the battle of Calth where Gulliman stood on the surface and wrote out orders that were then sent by vox to the ships on orbit. Just that awesome image of him staring at the sky, seeing ships at a distance that were impossible for anyone else, and writing out orders without tearing his eyes from the battle in orbit.

My favourite moment in the Horus Heresy was during the battle of Alaxxes, when Leman Russ was about to go toe to toe with Alpharius, but the XX Primarch teleports away, nodding as a sign of respect or acknowledgement before departing. Russ sensed his brother amid the battle (although he looks identical to his sons) and it would of been so glorious to see these two come to blows! As an Alpha Legion fan, I might be slightly biased when I say that I predict that my Primarch would have been the victor if the clash had occurred but Russ had a chance at beating him.

Dawg Alpharius stood no chance. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge alpha legion fan, but Russ is easily the better hand-to-hand fighter. Pre-chaos he was probably only beaten by Horus and by Angron, Alpharius would have gotten obliterated. But who knows, sometimes a primarch dying to another is all part of the plan. Hydra Dominatus.

@@7firefly763 lol only matched by horus and angron? Sanguinius and The MOFFUGGIN LION would disagree. The Lion is by far the best duelist of all the primarchs and sanguinius had the foresight, flight, and the might to defeat the greatest bloodthirster Ka'banda. Russ is definitely a stronger 1v1 fighter than Alpharius (as thats not Alpharius' specialty) but by no means is he the best of the best. He is arguably top 3 with the lion and our glorious fuckin hawkboy the other 2 in the top three. Angron could be argued to be better than russ although id put them at equal. Horus was never the best combatant. His primarch special sauce was his incredible charisma and leadership. It was only the ridiculous chaos undivided juice surging through him that let him 1v1 sanguinius and last more than 2 seconds against the most glorious emperor. Horus pre-heresy isnt even in the top 5 best fighters. Hell he may not even be in the top 10.

I would say one of my favorite moments comes from the Siege of Terra itself! When the traitors try to take Saturnine via the drills, only to be pushed back and annihilated for their hubris. It's such a defining moment where Dorn is able to show that he's more than a mental match for the traitors, and that there is still hope left for the Loyalists. It really comes to a head where he knows the underside will hold, and he goes to confront Fulgrim on the wall itself, going back to back with Sigismund against the traitors trying to swarm them.

Amazing production quality. I'm not that far into the Heresy books, but my favourite but so far has been Loken encountering Samus. The build up and combat with Loken not knowing what he was up against captures the ignorance that the Emperor had fostered and the secrecy and dishonesty that ultimately causes the Heresy.

My favorite moment comes down to Saul Tarvitz discovering Lucious' betrayal--knowing full well the man is a better swordsman then he but he still intends to go toe to toe with the traitor. Then, taking a cue from Loken's duel with him, ends up landing the last blow just by decking the bastard across the face. Couldn't help but laugh and cheer when that happened--Lucious escaped but that was a hell of a parting gift between them, as it were.

This battle report series is so well done the cinematic and narrative parts are so cool, my favourite moment from the Horus heresy is when Jaghatai burns the living daylight out of Fulgrim with the quickest come back, it went something like this Fulgrim: "I heard you do strange things to your ships" Jaghatai: "I heard you do strange things to your warriors"

My favourite moment from the Horus Heresy is Argel Tal and Kharn speaking about where their loyalties actually lay while they are looking for the bones of the saint. Its a pretty deep moment that shows the humanity of the two of them even amongst the insanity of the shadow crusade. They aren't good dudes by any stretch. But even they have their doubts about the heresy.

my favourite story from the Horus heresy is the destruction of Caliban with a lot of mystery surrounding the event and the battle between the dark angels and the Lutherites being redacted from all imperial record to hide the shame of the dark angels becoming half traitor. With the fallen now scattered across the galaxy the dark angels must hunt them down and wipe all evidence of their existence, very imperium of them indeed

I have only read the first book so far, but my favorite part is when Loken encounters that possessed marine, Jubal. It is sad that his friend was possessed. The marines with Loken were in such disbelief that they didn’t even attack! I wasn’t expecting daemons to appear in the first book.

I adore in Know No Fear when the Ultramarine is watching rhe Word Bearer ship running down the line of Ultramarine vessels and pieces together that the WB ships were not powered down and had been waiting to pounce. Such a good moment of tension.

Finally, the next episode! So many well painted models in one place. There are multiple moments that are simply just iconic in Horus Heresy. But my favourite out of all probably has to be during the Shadow Crusade in: Betrayer by Aaron Dembski-Bowden. The Duelling pits towards the end of the book, after the battle for Armatura. Here, the World Eaters spar, cheer and shout their war cries. The room goes silent as the Captain of the 7th Assault Company enters the room and Word Bearer Priest finally gets what he deserves. Warriors of the XIIth watch on in silence as a brutal, one sided match to the death is declared and carried out. Kharn telling Erebus to ''Get up'' after an absolute beat down in the lower decks of the Conqueror is not only extremely cathartic, but so impactful as you can feel the justified rage of a man who just lost his only friend to a backstabber.

In Forgotten Empire, when Lion El'Jonson realizes how broken of a soul Cruse is, and stops Guilliman from killing him. The ensuing fight, and escape is such a wonderful piece.

Favorite moment from the game was the challenge on the stairs, that battle kept going in both directions. My favorite Heresy story moment is when Magnus the Red projected himself to the Emperor to try to avoid the Heresy, but just ended up effectively kicking it off.

Then it gets better in how these guys just hold the line and repel the traitor forces again and again. My favourite moment in the Horus Heresy is the first real appaerance of the Alpha Legion in Book 7 'Legion' when sacrificing Imperial Guard Members to turn a fight and their contact with the Cabal. I found it relatively refreshing to see the totally different depiction of Space Marines from the view of mostly Imperial Guard members and how gruelsome they can be to achieve their goals. Yes, they are Angels of the Emperor - but they are deadly, vengeful and unscrupulous Angels.

Favorite moment of the heresy is the Sons of Horus desperation to save Horus following his wound, knowing that the dominos are being set up for such a huge tragedy by loyal sons trying their damndest to save their father is just compelling.

Wonderful battle report, top notch editing and narrative. Also, the desperate melee inside the riuned buildings looks like a reverse of my personal favourite moment in Horus Heresy, that being the assault on the Istvaan III palace. There's something about the first loyalists fighting against impossible odds that just gets me. Very nice to see Chaos on the defensive and the loyalist being the ones doing the attacking here, makes for a change of the usual narrative.

I think my favorite moment from the heresy is the battle of Pluto, when Dorn confronts Alpharius and goes through 3 different marines in disguises before talking to the real Alpharius. Love how its shows both of fucky the Alpha Legion is and how good Dorn is at piercing though the trickery.

My favourite story moment from the Heresy is probably the Dropsite massacre. It's got everything, a death of a Primarch (sobs in Iron Hands), brutal casualties, and a masterstroke of evil genius by Horus when the Loyalist's 'reinforcements' arrive and start butchering the stunned and shocked retreating Loyalist Legions, showing their hands as Traitors. It's epic stuff and since reading about it in the 3rd Ed Chaos Codex it's been a story beat that has had me captivated.

It is maybe not one specific moment, but I really enjoy the true friendship and interactions between the main characters of the first HH three books. All the parts where they talk about the inter-legion interactions between Torgaradon, Loken, Garro, and Saul Tarvitz just sit well with me. Their defense of the palace at the end of the galaxy in flames, and how they try their best to thwart the Warmaster were so exciting to read. But maybe my most favorite moment is when Ahriman destroyed the hypocrite Ohthere Wyrdmake in their duel in the warp, and the rune priest finally realized that they are the same and both draw power from the warp.

I think my favorite moment from the heresy is when the Iron Hands primarch, Ferrus Manus has his head cut off during the drop site massacre betrayl on Istvann 5, I think it really sets the tone for the heresy as a whole

I have a lot of favourite moments. My current absolute favourite is from Shadows of Trechery. When Sevetar admonishes the Nightlords Captains trying to take over when Cruze is injured. They tell him to take a hike, and he does. They begin to gloat until one of then notices that Sevetar has left his spear behind. Before anyone can really react, BOOM! Instant terminator squad and dead Captains. Sevetar casually walks back in and takes charge.

As a Word Bearers player from the very beginning I like all things Calth or Shadow Crusade. One of my favourite story lines is actually the Macragge's Honour graphic novel. Neil Roberts is an amazing Illustrator and his drawings make the Characters feel so real. It's also a very unbiased narrative perspective enabling an immersive reading for both Traitors and Loyalists alike. Keep up the good work Lachie! Cheers Julian

I am actually just now listening to Know No Fear, and I am at the point where the Battle of Calth is just kicking off, and I love how it keeps changing perspectives to Ultramarines or loyalist auxilia who are panicking or readying themselves for whatever in the Emperor's name is happening, only to spot fellow marines in crimson red, already ready to go. I just love how it is written so that everyone is pleasantly surprised that the Word Bearers are already formed up and how this sets this tone of how it is literally inconceivable for Astartes to turn on their brothers, for marine to fight marine, only to be shown the full scale treachery that is taking place. My favorite heresy moment might be an odd one, but I enjoyed getting to see the Council of Nikaea in A Thousand Sons. Like so many moments in the Heresy, you know how it shakes out. But to see it and the way that Magnus and Ahriman feel, how the Emperor isn't doing this happily and how that hints that he isn't as much the total master of mankind that you would expect, Wyrdmake's involvement after the seeming friendship earlier in the book. It was a great section!

Great to see the next video in the series. The work you and Broadsword have put in, incredible stuff! I think for me, the best moment so far is Sanguinious and the Immortal Ninth going to the aid of Jaghatai Khan when he finds himself assailed by Death Guard. The Sanguinious inspires the humans in the outer defences before commanding all within earshot to rally to the aid of his brother. So good!

Favourite Story moment from the heresy was Jago Sevatarion aboard the Dark Angels ship, slaughtering the astropathic choir because they reprimanded a young psyker that helped calm him, followed by him placing himself back in his cell post slaughter.

My favorite heresy moment other than the entire book of Know No Fear is in the short story Ghosts Speak Not when a group of loyalist Death Guard join up with a sister of silence and a few imperial army. The rag tag group is so cool, and its nice to see the interactions between basic humans and larger than life transhuman super soldiers.

My favourite moments from the Heresy is almost always from the early parts of the war, so I would say the Drop Site Massacre just because we get to see the outright betrayal of many legions towards the loyalists and the decimation of several loyalist legions. It's such an amazing way to open the Heresy to the galaxy by effectively destroying the Iron Hands, Salamanders and Raven Guard and even worse a Primarch dying from it all. I think the event works so well because it actually has permanent loss and you can see the shattered legions barely holding together as a reminder of the losses of the Drop Site. Also, the display Games Workshop did of the Drop Site featuring Iron Hands and Emperor's Children makes it look even more epic with all the terrain and fortifications and perfectly makes Istvaan V look like an amazing planet to base narrative campaigns around.

Very captivating video - I loved the whole thing. I dont normally watch battle reports but this is the first one that had the video perfectly emulating the way 40K battles actually look like in my head! Very fun special effects and the voices from Dawn of War - just perfect.!

My personal favorite moment was in the first heretic when Argel Tal confrontes the costodes and says: We were never human. I don't know why but I really like that part.

Loved this! The passion and drama is compelling!! Such incredible work - thanks to you and everyone else who helped out! I think my favourite but of the Heresy is any of the loyalist members of legions who turned traitor, especially the crew of the Eisenstern.

My single favorite moment during the entire Horus Heresy is probably the Battle of Paramar. I only ever read about it in the HH campaign book, and I'm not sure if they ever go into more detail in a novel. But when the Iron Warriors sent like, a hundred Dreadnoughts charging across the desert into the Alpha Legion armoured spearhead, I could feel my pulse increasing. It's only words on a page, but my God I was so hyped up reading that part and picturing in my head all the mechanized carnage of dreadnoughts literally ripping dozens of tanks apart with their bare hands. So amazing

My favorite moment in the horus heresy, has to be when a Capitol imperialis makes it's reactors go nuclear to kill a titan. It's in a short story from Heralds of the Siege. What happens to the captain of the Capitol imperialis is the craziest part. I just love militia and cults, can't wait for their rules to go live, and I love seeing them used in these battle reports.

The Thousand Sons and Prospero Burns books are my favorite books. One of my favorite moments is from Thousand Sons. The first time we see animosity between Russ and Magnus when they squared off on Heliosa. The moment Russ strides across the bridge leading to a great library Magnus is fighting to protect is so tense! I was glued to the page.

Amazing battle report, loving this new style. My favorite story moment has to be the final fight between Fulgrim and Ferrus Manus. The writing describing how torn Fulgrim was in landing the final blow to his brother and the regret that came after was fantastic. Keep you the great work!

I think my favorite moment, has to be from Betrayer, during the battle for Armatura. As Kharn and his troops stand across from a line of Ultramarines, trying desperately to keep himself, and his men, from charging against the shield wall and whatever lay behind it. Reading about the World Eaters, and seeing them less like a Khorne-maddened horde of killers; and more like broken men, twisted by archaic technologies forced upon them. The whole book does an amazing job at adding new dimensions to a legion, thought to be nothing more than savage berserkers.

My favourite moment of the heresy? The siege of schadenhold. Something about old iron warriors astartes holding back a traitor assault with brillant tactics and cunning for a full year. And when that fort fell to the traitors, it was still a lose for the besiegers. As the defenders blew up the fortress and stole a ship, badass no outer way to put it.

My favorite moment so far is from the first book. "Couldn't we have just left them alone?" It's a simple question but it's the main core in all the flaws of the Imperium BEFORE Chaos even showed up.

Another great bat rep! I'm glad I found your channel right as me and my buds got into Heresy. For my favorite moment it would have to go to the razing of Monarchia. It's such an important event to the overall course of the Hersey, being the fuse that ignites Lorgars fall. Plus I love the impact it has on the Ultramarines mentality, none if them took pride in it and even Guillieman himself regretted doing it. It inspired him to further protect cities and their histories during the great crusade, something he still shows as a character trait in his current 40k iteration! Looking forward to the next report. Last video I subscribed, this time I had to hit that notification bell!

My favorite story is the short story about the deamon haunted caverns on calth during the underway war, it’s such a unique story because the ultramarine in it, feels the closest thing to fear he is capable of feeling and that’s an interesting thing to read about! And it was a fun spooky story! Loved the battle report truly inspiring stuff!

This is by far the best narrative battle rep series I have seen.Awesome work guys. My favourite story in the heresy has to be Flight of The Eisenstien and Garro being a badass over and over again as they get attacked by demons.Then he kills The Lord of Flies on the Moon .So epic . I could imagine you guys doing an awesome narrative rep around that book too. Space Hulk esk . I can't wait till the next episode :)

My favorite heresy moment is when lorgar blows up guillimans command bridge during the battle of calth. Of course guilliman does the only logical thing, starts killing word bearers, in space, without a helmet. What a ledgend.

My personal favorite story moment from the Horus Heresy comes from The First Heretic; listening to Gareth Armstrong narrate over your narrative campaign inspired me to listen to Gareth's narration of the First Heretic's audiobook, which I hadn't read before. I had thought the First Heretic always hinted towards Erebus (that bastard!) and some trickery akin to the stunt he pulled in Horus Rising, but when Lorgar prevented Argal Tal from helping the wounded Custodian, and instead sacrificed him to receive the truth he was so desperate for, to meet a Chaos Daemon, I was genuinely shook!

Another terrific battle report gents. Really loving the look and sounds of battle. Two moments here caught my eye, the destruction of the warhound and the eventual death of the shadowsword, one of my favourite tanks. Istvaan III and the betrayal there is probably my favourite amongst the many battles of the Heresy. Congrats again.

The level of production is great, and your passion for the story really comes through 👍 my favourite story moment has to be the Battle of Istvaan III: it's the first time brother fights brother and we see Saul Tarvitz, a regular line officer, holding the primarchs at bay tactically in a war he has no hope of winning or even being remembered for

My personal favorite heresy moment was the War in the Webway, the Custodes fighting in service to the Emperor for the future of Humanity and in defense of Terra, its such an amazing moment that I wish someone would create as beautifully as you have re-created Calth! Favourite HH moment was when the Raven Guread were fleeing from Istvann and chased by a Word Bearer ship so Corax turned around and dragged them into the warp without Geller fields. Simple, brutal, effective and giving the enemy what they said they wanted, a closer meeting with Chaos.

Loving the use of Dawn of War sound effects in this series. Easily the best conflict for me is the Thramas Crusade, starving the imperium of vital supplies is very Night Lords and biffing up those dastardly Dark Angels is just the cherry on the cake.

I am a newcomer to the Horus Heresy and literally just finished the first book of the series but am hooked! I have loved seeing the hope and naivety of the earlier days of the Imperium, particularly through the lens of Loken. It is so hard to pick out a favorite moment as it is all such a fascinating philosophical backdrop and foreshadowing of the carnage that is about to be unleashed!

Another fantastic battle report! You guys just keep getting better! As for my favourite moment, I've gotta give it to the Maraviglia at the end of Fulgrim. As much as the Word Bearers and World Eaters are my favourite legions, that moment for the Emperor's Children is just such a perfect climax for their fall to chaos.
