Bro, they're an old school band that was known for their powerful vocals in Korea. They eventually got married and life happened but recently they made a comeback, so in this video they were singing a song from their albums that were released throughout the years. Crush, I would say is one of the R&B artist you might like to hear.. but if you appreciate top tier vocals, I'd strongly recommend you to listen to So Hyang (in her 40's now)- who is internationally recognized as one who can stand alongside divas such as Whitney, Mariah, and Celine Dion.

They are a vocal group and was once under YG Entertainment literally one of the firsts groups of YG. Their genre is Gospel pop and R&B. They are very famous among the kpop artists since they are like the sunbaenim (senior) of the sunbaenims out there. Their age now is around 40-49. I've been so obsessed about them for 4 weeks now 😭💛 I love them they are so sooo good. Just like anywhere else in the world be it the US, Brazil, or even Thailand, South Korea has many different genres of music. They have soul, hip-hop, rnb, pop, rock, funk, etc... Its not just kpop and hiphop. Theres no country on earth except maybe North Korea where they don't have multiple genres of music, since they're isolated from the rest of the world. There are so many good Korean rnb and soul singers. Not everyone is like BTS or even an idol at all. The greats were popular in SK as well like MJ, Prince, Whitney Houston, etc. Big Mama is an idol group who was popular in SK, they did/do alot of rnb sounds since they debuted early 2000s. That sound was popular at the time just like in the US and UK.

Killing Voice is a channel where Korean singers sing their discographies as artists. Notable ones that you should definitely add to your lists are Ailee, Taeyeon, and Mamamoo. We will be looking forward to those. :)

Funny you mention the genres. Quoting a member from Suga, from BTS ( a k-pop male group), he said, "I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be ‘integrated content." Most people would initially think of 'K-pop' as like, Korean pop music. Though that approach isn't wrong, because there's definitely a lot of pop songs, you can find a lot of different styles in Korean music in general. Some will have a swing feel to it, jazz or RnB influences, blue inspired etc, in Kpop groups or solo songs. I only know more about the Kpop community and not the actual genres like "Is there a specific genre for Korean RnB, where can I find that?" That, I truly don't know. But in a nutshell, my main point is saying that there's a ton of Kpop groups/soloists out there that don't stick to one style. In fact, it's pretty common nowadays for an artist to have several different styles to their music, so it's probably best to approach K-pop as not a genre, but basically, a source of content where the music can be distinct and unique to every individual and group. With that being said, Bigmama is a really special group though. Their songs were primarily focused on the soul and feel to it and they're the OG of K-pop. Glad you enjoyed them!!
