Getting some practice at Bihoku the day before AE86 Champions Cup. Music - Instrumental produced by Chuki - / chukimusic - Freestyle Beat - Flow Salvadore
Yeah man, he has such a relaxed driving style. Need to get more seat time eh, driving once every month or two isn't enough to be good. They drive minimum 2 - 3 times every month so they're so familiar and comfortable behind the wheel
Hey man, been enjoying your videos since a couples of years now! I like your driving style a lot to get the speed, I guess some more time at the track and the tires could bring you where you wanna be. Ae86 champions cup is quite a journey by itself man, enjoy it to the fullest! Cheers from quebec city, canada
Great grass roots kind of content mate, keep it up I'm loving it! What's your steering setup like, are you running power or manual steering rack? I'm assuming you've got extra lock knuckles too?
Thanks man! It has 40mm extended stock LCA and 10mm shortened stock knuckle, thinking of getting some proper knuckles. Not sure on the rack soz! I did look once but don't remember
Great video! What an interesting case though with how the car is behaving/reacting. You had some good runs and Hamashin hoped in and had some good ones as well...and then there were the "whoops, there goes the car" moments where it didn't really look like you did anything all too different. Maybe that's the low, 14" life - the car is just less forgiving if things are just slightly off? At 26:48 you can see the rough surface really unsettling the car on entry and it looks like Hamashin's car soaked it up a bit better. Maybe that was an added factor to the peakiness of the car at this track, like the car already has less travel and grip but a bad bump or two and the suspension maxes out losing predictability. As I always say, I don't have any real helpful advice but it's fun seeing you progress with the car. If going back to 15's helps it drive better, then I'd say it's worth a try. Keep it up!
Yeah, hard to describe, I couldn't put too much angle at higher speeds or it would spin and took the wrong line pretty much every lap. It was supposed to be wide outside line entry, outside clip midway through the corner, then inside clip at the end of the corner but I was doing the opposite. Saturday qualifying was worse as you'll see in next weeks video, after my first practice Hamashin said stop running inside line! Haha, was a bit frustrating. Keen to take the white one to Bihoku and see how it feels, in the meantime I got some thinking to do. Thanks man!
Yeah better tyres would make a big difference! Agu switched from 14s to 15s, quite a bit higher, has knuckles etc. Have only driven her car once, but it feels good
