As a Indian Colonel 's wife I can tell you ..We had to pay electricity bill in Army cantonment .

I live in Delhi and I don't get any electricity bill for 6 months in a year( November to April) because of low consumption (under 200 units which is free). During Summers electric consumption increases but the govt again gives us a subsidy of 50% till 400 units consumption. The per unit rate is 4₹.

I am a residence of Islamabad. I drove Honda City car from 2018-2021. Then I had to shift on bike due to price hikes. People are silent even now and it is the result of their silence that have made them reached to such an extent. I am so glad that now people are striking and fighting. I hope the inflation goes higher even more. Because aakhir kab tak !!

I'm from the state of Sikkim. My electricity bill is Rs. 2.90 per unit till 300 units and Rs 4.00 after 300 unit. I hav never paid more than 1500/= in my life.

Hello Junaid bhai..... I'm from india and today only i paid my electricity bill for the last month. I consumed 900 units in the month of August and my bill was 6102 rupees.... It absolutely amaze me that only few kms away from border, people are paying such high electricity bills...

I am from himchal pradesh, India the rate per unit in our state is 3 rupees ! And 125 units are already free to use ! From past one year our electricity is bill is always 0 as our consumption is only 70 units per months which saves alot

In Delhi, my bill for 592 units came to Rs. 3900 (Indian) or 14,500 PKR. Now, it will gradually decrease in winter months to around at most Rs. 500 by December-January.

I understand there are certain things can't be discussed or addressed while sitting in Pakistan. But the real root cause of all these issues is "ESTABLISHMENT (Army Generals)." Many of my family members are army officers and whenever I used to visit them in Garrison (Cantt areas) I never witnessed any loadshedding, power outages nor any gas or other utility issues. Their power, gas even petrol is free, they have their own Khansamaas(Cook), driver, gardener, hell even their children education is free. Back then I never looked that way like why they are so privileged. Defense consumes more than 60% of country's budget and on top of that they possess DHA, Fauji(Food company), Askari bank and many others, you just name it and they have it. There's no way this country can run like that anymore. Either we must overhaul this entire system or sit quietly and watch this country turning into next Yamen or Libya. So sad!!!

God help Pakistani people. I live in Kolkata, India. Our electricity provider is private company. My consumed unit was 430 units and I have received bill of around Rs.3700. It is said that Per unit is costliest in Kolkata and it became a big election issue. We always complain to our govt. why our electricity bill is so high and we get no free units like many other states in India. After watching this my perspective will change for sure.

I have 5 AC , 2 refrigerators , 4 Computers , 6 room fans . AC usually run for 17-18 hours a day , PCs run 14-15 hours a day , so are fans. I work from home and have some staff members. The bill for last month was Rs 18k. My state is Uttrakhand , India.

In India 🇮🇳 rate for per unit of electricity is 7 rupees. My last bill was 1070 rupees for 2BHK Flat. I can feel what a 65000 -70000 means for a middle class family. 🙄🙄

In Jammu & kashmir, Srinagar tarrif is just around 3 rupees per unit. Paying around 900 rupees on average for last 10-12 months. Rates in pakistan are beyond imagination. 😢

In India we have 7-9 rupees per unit rate that too for urban areas only, rural areas are bit subsidised and some states have made the first 200 units free for BPL families & minorities. Smart digital meters are being installed in each home so there is little to no scope of theft. People get their payment notification on mobile, if anyone doesn't pay their bills on time their electricity will be automatically cut off by Smart meters even Govt. departments have to pay their bill on time due to Smart meters. The max Electricity Cost for 500 units in urban area would be 3500 - 4500 rupees i.e 13500 Pakistani rupees maximum. Paying 50000+ PKR for below 500 units is outrageous. Pak Govt. is robbing its honest citizens in broad daylight.

My father is a heart patient, unki tbaiyt or kharab hojati hai bill dekh k, i am student, working a 9 hour job, it has become extremely difficult to live now, roz k kharchay, rent, parhayi, grocery, bht mushkil hogaya hai guzara karna is mulk mei.

To give you a comparison, The per unit cost where I live in India ranges from 2/unit to 7.5-8/unit depending on the units consumed. This is a slab based system where the common grid supplies electricity to every household. Now, PKR 163,000 is approximately INR 44,000 which is a lot as per Indian standards as well. In 44K you can use 3-4 AC, along with all the other appliances at full capacity full load. Also, a suggestion would be for you to install the cheapest 3 KW off-grid solar panel on roofs so that your dependence on the state is reduced. Yes, it will be expensive based on your imports and economic conditions but it will be a worthwhile investment. You will produce sufficient energy to power yourself during the day and In night you can use Grid + Battery to save cost.

I live in Pune(Pimpri Chinchwad), one of the best municipal corporations in Asia. 2 BHK FLAT, 1 TV, 1 FRIDGE, 1 WASHING MACHINE, 4 FAN, 10 12 LIGHTS, 3 LAPTOPS, 4 MOBILE PHONES etc....My monthly bill is always around 1000-1200 INR since last 3 4 years.

My heart goes out to our Pakistani brethren, I hope you find resolution to situation and emerge stronger. I'm from Delhi, India and here in summers also if we use AC in a limited way(only when needed) in our homes with 24hr electricity, our electricity consumption ~200units and bill if ZERO (0.00) & If units consumption is below 400units then the 200 to 400 units are subsdised so, the bill is just Rs.800-900 This is Indian Govt and Delhi govt doing for people 🇮🇳

India voters must learn from this and beware of parties who for sake of winning elections offer"Freebies"i.e free electricity/water etc We shouldn't fall for them, specially parties like AAP/Congress!!

Calcutta/ Kolkata jaisi megacity main electricity ka unit 5-6 rupees hain... Summer ke time main multiple ACs chalao to itna bil hi bohut zyada lagta hain, I can't imagine how are these people dealing with such situations.

I can not burn my power bill as it comes in my mobile if it happens here also. Jokes apart, I pay around 2000 in the summer per month at 7 rs per unit and I have an AC and other appliances, I thought I have been paying way too much, but looking at the crisis in Pakistan I feel blessed to be an Indian.

im from india my home is pretty big around 2900 sqft , it has a total of 5 acs 2 of which are 2 tonnes i have 2 fridges 3 big screen tvs 1 cctv camera with monitor 2 computers microwave oven around 70 -80 lights in all and many fans water purifier etc the average bill we get is around. 4000- 5000 INR with 2 -3 ac moderate use thats 5000 x 3.75 = 18750 pkr and in peak summer we get around 12-15,000 with 2 -3acs heavy use it would be around 57000 pkr , iconsider this bill to be quite reasonable i can live a very comfortable luxury life with not spending extreme amounts

I live in Ghaziabad UP (Urban) and have 3 ACs in my home, during peak summers, the ACs run for about 12 hours daily ( total for all 3 ACs), the max bill i have got it 6000 (equivalent to 18000 pkr)and mind you there is zero subsidy in this bill

I live in Mohali, Chandigarh, India (Punjab). I get bill every two months. Punjab govt. Gives 600 free units every two months. I did not get any bill from September 2022 till june 2023. This time, the consumption increased to 815 units due to unusually high use of AC owing to very humid climate. My bill was around 4500 rupees for two months. I am not a fan of freebies and wouldn't mind if the subsidized units are taken off. I think the electricity is reasonably priced. It is an unacceptable and non tenable condition in pakistan. Strength to the our brothers to cope up with this and hope you see good times ahead.🎉

In jammu & kashmir so called Makbooza Kashmir by Pakistan has 3.5 rs./unit for residential connection with 24hrs service in urban areas as in my jammu city.......Truly Indian govt is unleashing so much cruelty on us by providing world class services to people of J&K..........😂😂

Im from Indian state of Karnataka, we have up to 200 units free for every house from last two months. Per unit charge is 7 Rs.

For 324 units in Haryana India the bill would be around ₹920.

Upto 50 units:- 3 inr/unit 50-150 units:- 4.8 inr/unit 150-350 units:- 5.8 inr/unit So if i consume 350 units in a month my bill will be 150+480+1160=1790 inr + 200(meter rent+elec. Duty+ fixed charge) Total 1990 inr(7400 pkr) i have to pay for 350 units electric consumption. This price is particular for odisha. Different prices for different states

Bahi maine kabi kabi sochta huin yeah mulk jis ki jhadi ko hum sarak se utha ke sesne se lagate the usse kabi esse bahagna chahein gee ke kabi wapis na ayein.

In india at our home we have 3 different metres for 3 different families. 2 familes has rs. Zero as bill because some units are subsidised and our bill is 1000-1500 rs in summers and in winters 2000-2500 rs. There are some cuts everyday but overall it's fine.

I am from India. We use AC all night and sometimes day, there are many electric appliances in my home and our bill is ₹600. Sometimes 300 or 400 when we use less AC ❤

Paid 950 rs in Bangalore for a month…though Karnataka govt had started 200 unit free electricity, I haven’t opted for it…and 1596rs for three months in another home of mine in Darjeeling West Bengal…but paying 20k for electricity is way tooo much…what the hell!
