@@Leejohnston just a fyi.. we.. don't expect technical vids from ya mate.. we'd be asking you to get Neil to do that if we did.. but silent movies went outta fashion a 100yrs ago now.. loved your responses of the TT on Between the Hedges.. scarey sh!t.. keep em coming & cheers from the Antibodies 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿 🥝
About time Johnston, getting f$#kin tired of watching you head to f%$kn toe in lycra cycling round the place with your bollix hanging out. I was almost going to start following Alistair Seeley 🤣🤣 🤩 Triumph 765 RS, only rode my mates one last week. That triple is a little weapon.
I think so many of us would love to try and build a bike from a brand-spanker, and this video lets us live that dream, with no cost or responsibility! ;)
As if a modern motorcycle isn't complicated enough. You have now built a space shuttle. What ever happened to the days when guys ran a slightly tuned road bike. Same in car racing. You see a vehicle going around the track. That has a brand and model you recognise on it. But is really a composite shell around something completely different. No good the old adage. Race on Saturday. Sell on Monday. What you can buy on Monday is nothing like.
This might be a daft question but if Triumph have to build the bike for you to strip and re build why don't Triumph just supply the parts you need to use for you to build the bike?
Great to see you back on YT and great to see you on a Triumph. Begs the question why not buy a Street Triple engine and gearbox, frame, subframe and swing arm and build up from there instead of new bike ?
Bikes are always worth more in parts than complete so the reverse of that applies. It would cost them more to make the bike up from those parts because then they haven't got all the other bits off a complete bike to flog off to subsidise the build either.
More great content lee. What was the reasoning for the Trumpet over the other makes. Would be cool to see some basic suspension set up content as well as it gives us idiots a view as to what goes on.
Was only thinking the other night you hadn't put a vid up for a while mate! Reckon you should leave the riser bars on the second Trumpet, add some panniers and do a wildcard in a MotoAmerica baggers race... 🤣👍
Lee are you sneeking the bike in because Neil isn’t there to moan at you 😂 Love the vlogs good luck for the season I’m sure I’ll be cheering you on to a few wins 👍🏍️🏍️
This is ace. It's how us nearly normal folks try and build our semi track bikes but with road use also in mind. 😅. Interested to know what engine work was actually completed and certainly what power you get out of it. Is it engine work that Joe blogs on the street could get done and at what cost?
Thanks for the inside look, can't wait to see you riding it. There is only 102 days till TT ! watched the TT pod cast loved you and Chris, and its only 25 days till motorcycle racing starts here in the States, thats one you need to come and race, the daytona 200, Cheers
A great vlog Lee, great to see you riding a Triumph 🏍️. Are you going to be racing at the NW200 this year? Good luck for the season & I hope to see you at Oulton Park.
At last Lee, I think the clues to which bike you would be running this year have been dangled in previous vlogs & those in the know guessed it right. I must admit I was thinking you might go Triumph after a visit to PHR for something unrelated, thought it was too much of a coincidence. Really looking forward to seeing what you can do in BSS on the bike & the roads too. Great to see Neil again as it's been a few weeks & also I wish you well in Daytona. I take it your bike fitness is where you want it to be now? All the best & cheers for the vlog as always ✊🏻
Nice video. interesting to see the craziness of switching to a new bike during the off season hasn't changed much, except for the electronics, from when I raced in the late 1980's 😁
you do not drive 621,37 miles (1000km till the first inspection) "running in" ! your team warm a "new" powertrain up and you ride this extreme - good luck
I have the same bike as soon as I seen the van open awesome you are riding a Triumph Street Triple RS! and that's only watching up to 2.14? It is an awesome machine and the best bike I have ever ridden! You will be amazed how safe this thing rides!
Unbelievable how much work goes into a race bike,I can see the excitement in your eyes 😎that message from P.J haha ,racers don’t think of anything else other than racing lol ,chilli cheese and chips 😋corned beef with cheese and beens on toast and white pepper is the one ,extra mature cheddar 😝grated a splash of full cream milk, mix to a thick paste, spread on the toast and grill until it starts to brown ,mama Mia ,I hungry now 😂
See a lot of people surprised at the triumph choice, once they’re tuned by PHR they’ll be rockets 🚀 Get that suit on and hold on tight. Good luck this year lee ✊🏁
