I got my $ worth out a set of Q3+'s, almost down to the cords on the side of the rear on my 07 SV650s so I was looking for new tires. Everything I looked at; Road 6, Q5S and RS4, were all $450+- for a set + mounting so about $500-525+ all in. I lucked up on a set of RS4's, only in 120/70-17 and 180/55-17 which is exactly the size I needed for $320, free mounting/balancing and replacement insurance came to $380 all in. After 70+ miles I can say they don't really feel much different than the Q3+s so far. For the $, I couldn't say "no".
perhaps rude...But would like to note that the wobbly knee sticking out of the counter is quite distracting. unfortunately little technical information outside of the factory commercial. I am very curious about the technical underpinning of the product and the different compounds that have been used. I'm about to replace my Dunlop streetsmart Arrowmax tires. I wonder how the quality of the tires presented here compares to my now almost worn tires, which I am very satisfied with. The grip, in particular, has saved me more than once out of a tight spot.
I dont know about rude but I swear I had to reverse video and look because otherwise it was beyond not distracting as I barely had eyes on the sceen when it was only talking....why do I want even watch the faces anyway
I got only 2500 miles on stock T32 rear that came on Yamaha T9gt and the front even is really pathetic not to wear bar but close and there is a real ledge now at the border of my chicken stripe making the tire totally non linear not sure how to say it like roundish at the ege then a big flat bevel the roundish in the middle bu cupping somewhat so I dont want to try squeezing a couple more k out it especially not with a whole different new brand/model mounted on the rear! ...I was trying to get another last 500 on them but I have an appointment for RS4s in a couple days so will probably fall 120 miles short of 3k miles for the T32s getting full 3k ....I will honestly be delighted if I can doublle the milage on the Dlop RS4s (6k miles?) but most of my miles are on twisty backroads so not good for longevity...then again at least coming into colder months maybe the tires will hold up better than they did in the really hot summer months I bought this bike in?) ....my buddy has em on his BMW 1250RS and he really honestly fully expects to get at least 10k on his set of RS4....that would be AMAZING for ME but I dont hold out any real hope of that...with all that said I just really hope the RS4s have similar GRIP as the Bridgestones? These T32s despite dismal longecity have stuck like glue! And if they really do last twice as long that will totally take all the sting out of paying over 500bucks for these (phone quote was 417 mounted and balanced 180 120 17s
BTW I personally have NO plans on riding in the rain! lol ....I like the idea they are good in the wet if I do get caught though! Although I will no doubt be too put off to push things much at all.....I'll just be heading for shelter or home whichever is closer! Fair weather riding only for moi ! lol
Lol tire prices "...buyers are trying to hold back" lol yeah right! I can hold back on all sorts of thing like buying a new helmet or a new tankbag etc etc but much like fuel there is no holding back once a rife is bald....not if one wants to ride and LIVE lol
