Been feeling down this weekend, but this video has put a smile on my face, don't care who was the better rider. just to see the bike get furtherer up the hill than on foot
I would love to try this in the States. It seems like it could be a bit safer and somewhat older fit adult friendly than either street bike riding or regular dirt riding, for those of us that are a bit scared of the really high speed and danger on the streets or dirt tracks.
Hi Suzy and Luke, I was driving trial bike back many year ago ... After watch your video I'm willing to trial again. Great video and keep practicing. I have seen many very good basic trial moves, well done !! Good luck
Great video. Nice seeing a girl doing this sport. As I too get older trials riding just seems like a great way to stay on 2 wheels (mostly) and avoid the day I'll only ride my 4 wheeler for lose of balance.
I just ordered FIM trials indoor videos off eBay and it says it's coming from Kent. haha. anyway the key to trials is never give up it can be really frustrating at times. I have plenty of moments where I would look up at the sky and scream because I couldn't make a rock lol
must be an older wiser person thingy because now that im older I decided to buy a Trials bike and im finding out you can have a lot of fun with it in a very small area like the back yard, and now im wondering why I never decided to take it up much earlier in my life its demands you to become a better rider literally overnight and clutch, throttle and brake control improve every time i kick a leg over it
maybe to boost confidence, after all it's just pure fun. but then, since there had a go in a muddy trail you might expect a front or rear wheel slide so some trick would come handy were needed.
yes I agree and i'm sure about that, but you know, since its a school for trial riding i guess they have to invent something to make it fun, since they have that large green flat grass yard..why not.
You obviously weren't listening. It was a specific exercise to give road bike riders more front end control to take back to the road. I know that riding mx bikes has helped me hugely with my road riding when the bike slides.
Susie, could you tell me the make of the riding gear top you're wearing, it would be more suitable for my partner than the heavy jacket she has. Great video, looks like you had a ball.
Very nice to see a female into it. 🥂🍾 As much as l love her hair it should be tired up so a fall won't catch her hair in a wheel or sprocket and scalp her it has happened.
awesome video BIKE WORLD thanks for the upload, , been riding trails for many years I've got 2 old school twin shocks BULTACOS the 250 an 350 wich I've had for a long time but no where to ride them thease days, I'd be interested if you are aloud to take your own bikes to what looks like a great woodland to ride at.., many thanks.
Trials riders prefer open face helmets for the extra air flow and visibility. Since you are going slow for the most part crashes are just falling over until you get into upper classes. It's ultimately the riders decision and what they are comfortable with. I hope that answers your question.
Yeah, but, if I hit my mouth, and almost lost teeth, wouldn't you learn your lesson and take precautions? Like i saw a youtube skater end up in hospital, and still refused to wear a helmet because it "looks dumb".
It's a risk management thing. Speeds are very slow in trials compared to all other forms of motor sports so the risk of losing your teeth is reduced. Also, the open face helmet gives you a much better field of vision for this stuff - very important as things get more challenging. And it helps keep you cool (trials is very physically demanding), and allows for a more social experience.
It is because you have better sight with a haf face helmet. and in trial it's not so dangerous falling, because usually you do not have that high speed so it's no big deal with an open helmet :)
They are proper helmets. You don't have to wear a open face helmet its down the the riders preferences. Some riders prefer to have an open face helmet as it increases your visibility, you need to be aware of your surrounding in trials, it's slow paced and usually safe.
@@BikeWorldTVshow Something interesting, something captivating. NOT 'staged'. This was all a 'put on'. Just for the camera's. It was (almost) childish. TOOO Much emphasis on that 'pretty girl', that 'pretty face'. It was Very Shallow. - Just my opinion of course. Thank you for asking.
@@tpv59 Nothing was put on Terry and nothing was staged. Nothing to do with Suzy's pretty face, she races MX and is a serious rider. We're just trying to show biking in a positive way and making it as inclusive as we can. Girls have come up to Suzy at motorcycle live after seeing this vid and told her how inspired they were to try it. Anyway, sorry you don't like it.
I've ridden trials twice in my life and i wasent good. The genes of my world champion father must have skipped me. Or you really never put the fucking hundreds of hours into it
