I’m so jealous of that trip. It looked like such fun. I’m sure my 71 year old body could never do it even on my ebike, so I’ll just have to fantasize about it. I’m happy that you were able to experience it. Please do more trips like that! 🚲❤️🚲
Did the same route last summer. Stayed in the first Bothy you did, the posh one as I call it lol. Follow the river up stream and you will find a waterfall and plunge pool - great for wild swiming. Only a 10 min walk from the bothy! That dam is the "top gear" Dam that Hammond went down in a Landrover. It was part of a route from the South of Wales to Warrington I did, took me a week. Awesome! Bothies on all nights except one. Met many great people along the way.
@@JulietElliottsChannel You often can't choose what happens in life but you can always choose how you respond to it. Juliet's enthusiasm is infectious.
Pets are one joy after another - they know you are leaving them for a bit so they give you a small piece of something to remember them by! 🐈 Very cool ride both the cycle trip and the bike and the two lads looked like great companions to ride with. 👍
Top video, proper inspirational. The time and effort it takes to produce stuff like this is greatly appreciated, thank you 👍 And you can tell Brother cycles lending you a bike worked, I've just bought a big bro frame.
Hi Juliet awesome adventure, you should do the Camino de Santiago in Spain starting in Saint Jean Pied de Port in France and finish in Santiago de Compostela in Spain
Lovely video, gorgeous overnighter! I'm happy for you, I really really am, though a bit envious, too. Asides: nice bell, beautifully coloured shirt ( where is it from ?), but you couldn't possibly find a bigger carabiner for the dangle mug?😋 Nevermind, would love to see more of those rides, absolutely inspirational!
Thanks, glad you liked it. I borrowed the carabiner and thought better of it before I left - I just attached my mud through a strap. The shirt is by Fox
Top ride and top smiley video. Proper adventure stuff...map reading in the dark...in these days of GPS it's good to have those skills 👍🏽 thanks for some inspirational stuff...again ! (prob leave off the fixie racing though;)
Just completed my first bikepacking Bothy overnighter! Was great fun. Used my limited skills to make a video all about it. Would be great to get some feedback 😊 Enjoyed your video! Loved the darts setup 😂
Looked absolutely fantastic a proper back packing ride woop woop 🙌 got to do one of these adventures But I know what ya mean scary movie innuendos I’m such a whuss 😂😂😂 Great blog Juliet cool 😎😎😎😎
Love Nant Rhys and the mid-Wales bothies. Good article here on the need to pitch in with keeping them lovable www.theguardian.com/travel/2019/jan/25/mountain-rescue-why-bothies-need-a-helping-hand-a-photo-essay. (also completely agree, "i don't understand why more people don't do this, but also love that more people don't do this")
'Is this even the trail, or just a river'? Hahaha. Croeso i Gymru :D Come and ride Sarn Helen in the north of Wales/Snowdonia, water like that all over it ;)
I hope you are getting some family time. While I look forward to you cheery face on Fridays, I think you should take some “ Juliet” time with Dave and daughter. Enjoy!
I adore the Cambrian Mountains. They're wild and rugged. The Nant Rhys Bothy is a bit ugly I have to admit but it's out the way. Question. Do your tats render you qualified? You know, a life on the margins with all that material wealth - hardcore! Mark
I want to go bike packing but the only bike I have is a really skinny wheeled town bike ...do you think it's possible to go bike packing with a bike like that....?
Checkout 7 Road Workshop bikepacking gear I bought some and I'll tell you something it's lightweight its 100% waterproof submersible I love it absolutely love it
@@JulietElliottsChannel no .... real time location is beacon ... and not flyby ... flyby is show just when you post the activities ... no real time information from flyby... When I ride various days in a roll ... I wait till I get home ... and then I post all activies ... just a tip !
Only a fool would reply on digital devices only - paper maps are 100% necessary. Bothies don't have shower rooms, it's just a shelter. This one was incredibly luxurious by bothy standards
Love this film juliet, if you think that bothy is scary try kershopehead bothy in kielder forest, think the original owner was strangled! Check our ben alder bothy trip and mtb ride in vimeo.com/282552493 if you have time. X
So how come your boyfriend or husband or whoever that guy is at you with how come he doesn't go on these Journeys with you I figured he would have gone on this one
