hi my name is iohan and this is the 32nd episode of bikepacking from Alaska to Argentina and around the world. This one picks up right at the lunar landscape at the end of episode 31 and also sheds more light as to what caused this entire valley to be covered in rocks, sand and ash. After 12 days I finally reach civilization/town and take a detour to the coast for a week, followed by some packrafting again in the mountains... on the way to Patagonia. #chile #bikepacking #packrafting

This is the best content on RU-vid. This channel should have millions of followers but i am kind a glad it still is somewhat "private". Makes the entire experience more personal. It will blow up eventually.

EPIC series. The human challenge of solitude and extreme nature along with unplanned encounters with animals and people seems so natural and inspiring. Something most of us rarely get to experience. I think you should be named “ Great Person of the World.” Your love of the earth, appreciation for all people and especially all animals is inspiring. Your ability to see the positive even when the situation appears quite dire is extraordinary. Those rules are there because Chilean parks are fire prone and have been ravaged by careless tourists. A Czech tourist and an Israeli tourist did some major damage to Torres del Paine on separate occasions

yes, plus i think locals love to have fires and the chilean parks actually won't let you in to camp overnight if you don't show them that you have a gas stove.

I found the arriba en la cordillera song not knowing it was about this mountain pass...and it spoke to me. I happen to be going to Chile this winter unless plans change..... Bless you for inspiring me to bikepack. I could have sworn I ran into a very tall man with Iohan's voice and demeanor in Costa Rica...was eavesdropping to see if somehow he was still with us. This is one of the only videos of his I haven't seen.

The introduction to this video was a tad bittersweet, since you mention the previos episode 31. Sadly it is gone from RU-vid and gone is also the alternative from your website. There are a few more videos missing but gladly I found those on a Chines tube site lol. [for anyone with the same problem, the site is called bilibili, or just google the episode name or "see the world bikepacking"]. Anyways, the disappointment was wiped away quickly by your fantastic visual storytelling, the amazing people you've met and your ability of making the best out of every situation. I've already watched some of your newer videos and seen the hardships your went through. You are an inspiring person, Iohan, and I hope you can continue to go on these journeys for as long as you desire or until you've seen it all :) Safe journeys! Your guardian angels have a hard job!

After watching your first video it inspired me to rethink how we are spending our lives...we have just completed our third year travelling full time. Nothing as adventurous as you, but we are still “seeing the world”, on two wheels, two legs, one packraft, four wheels in a motorhome and eight wheels towing a caravan. My dog trainer of 48 yrs of experience would suggest: If you would like to make a dog feel comfortable greeting you, 1-look next to them rather than at their face to start, 2-approach dog from a 45degree angle instead of head-on, 3-reach to pet under the chin or neck and not over top of dog or over the head. If they are comfortable, then you can continue as you will. As a foster of dogs and fellow dog-lover, I have found these methods as a universal communication that we are not threat. Not as easy while on a bike, however. LOL Just a helpful tip for ferral dogs. I love to watch your definite gift with animals. Happy greetings! Janet

I've been following these videos for quite a few years now and i have to say that this is one of the best shows on youtube. What i can't understand is why are there only 78K subs? Spread the word people! So many people wish they were doing what you are, it's truly inspirational. Thanks so much for showing the world what is possible with enough determination. It never ceases to amaze me the obstacles that you overcome where most people would have problems saying to themselves they are able to ride to the other side of town. Your a true self born athlete with not one ounce of competitiveness responsible for what you have become! Keep up the good work, stay safe, look after yourself.
