It's always great to see other people exploring our part of the world - Northumberland is an outstanding place for cycling (providing you don't mind "cheeky little climbs" and perpetual headwinds 😂

My part of the world, glad you liked it. But........the lifts were working?? The pedestrian tunnel has been getting refurbished for at least 10 years, you were lucky you didn't have to carry the bike up the stairs
Lifts have been working pretty well since last year, I had one occasion to use the ‘escalator’ as the voice said, ohhh you mean the stairs! All 300 of them! The tunnel is one place in North East you can guarantee No Wind! 😁
