Smashing route. I rode a very similar if not the same route 18 or 19 years ago, when I was about 15. I was on an extremely cheap Halfords bike. Dad thought it’d be a great idea to take the Corrieyairack Pass from Fort Augustus to Loch Laggan. I ended up with a crack in the frame, and my wrists felt like they’d both been broken the next morning after trying to brake on the downhill section with possibly the worst v-brakes of all time… Great family fun.
I did this last week, over 3 days. Camped. Interesting how you didn’t show any footage of the two long & rough descents (Corrie & into Glen Lyon), they were fun on a loaded MTB, can’t imagine they were as pleasant on a gravel bike.
LOCH Rannoch!!!!! (and NOT LOCK either!!) If I did a ride in the Lake District and called it the Loch District and Loch Windermere, people would be slapping their foreheads the length and breadth of England. When in Rome....or Rannoch!!....... 😁😁 Otherwise, excellent stuff. The route looked amazing. I have never done gravel biking or bivouacking, but man that looks tempting. Keep it up!!
well firstly I have to say that I am sponsored by Albion so am not going to tell you its rubbish! But I have been very pleased with the shorts, they are one of the most comfortable shorts that I have used and they also have some other great items of kit such as the insulated jackets etc which are very useful on a bikepacking trip. I have to say if I wasn't sponsored I certainly would not be disappointed buying the kit.
