In this video, I will share with you How to make “Special Biko”, a native delicacy served for snacks and goes well with coffee, actually you can eat this anytime of the day. This is the recipe of my sister-in-law, it has simple ingredients and very easy to make. This is another favorite of Filipinos served during special occasions or even on ordinary days. Enjoy cooking!

Ingredients:
3 cups malagkit rice
2 niyog, for 1st and 2nd gata
1 cup brown sugar
250 grams frozen langka, drained (or more, optional)
Banana leaves
Note:
1st gata for latik budbod
2nd gata
- for cooking the malagkit rice (saing)
- for cooking panutsa then the cooked malagkit

1st piga - pure kakang gata, no water added to the niyog 2nd piga - nag lagay ng water sa niyog para makuha ang 2nd gata

hi Crislyn, pwede naman ang brown sugar, na kaya lang merong extra flavor ang panutsa kaya mas masarap ang biko. Try mo sa palengke usually doon meron.

Hi Glory, sorry sa late reply. Ang 2 kilos = 8 cups. Siguro gawa ka na lang ng 3 recipes nitong nasa video and you can sell yung iba pang matitira or para meron din kayo sa bahay. I hope this helps :)

Hi! Panutsa is traditionally made crystallizing dark brown cane sugar with lime water. The mixture is then poured into a coconut until it hardens. The pieces hardened Panutsa can then be used to make the Panocha or as a sweet substance for coffee, tea, or desserts and kakanin

if you find it too sweet, pwede.po naman bawasan according to your preference. Kaya po medyo malambot ang luto ko para kapag inilagay na siya sa ref hindi sya titigas na parang bato tulad sa mga ibang recipes po 😊

i know masarap lasa niyan but the not well cooked glutinous rice is a no for me. it is better if yung bigas is luto talaga para mag compliment din dun ang lasa.
