This is how I'm feeling right now. I loved a man w/ unresolved emotional issues. He walked away at the first bump in the road. I'm left reeling. B/c I loved so intensely and wanted to help. He shut me out. I have to believe that this struggle is gonna make me fly, make me new.
Maybe he felt he had to protect you from getting bruised or even broken in the struggle he would have to take on in his growth. Maybe he feared he could never be the man you fell in love with. In love we do not just leave when we have something good in our lives. We leave to protect it, because we lose a threat.

There is only ONE Bilal. That's what I say every time I listen or see him live. This is my favorite song by him. The way it was made canNOT be made any more perfect. The words, the melody, the harmonies, the synths, the effects, the sound of strolling outside in the park, the emotion... When Bilal writes from his heart it's always gold. I am in a divine trance every time.

This song was divinely presented to me 2,3 years ago. Rough times & heartache was none stop. Deneice Williams song "Black Butterfly " would suddenly come on here & there. Everytime it happened was like a call to me to be encouraged! That same day(not even 15 seconds after "Black Butterfly" went off)I flipped the tv channel & this song "Butterfly" by Bilal was playing! I was stunned! In my heart & spirit I felt I was gifted from above! Yahweh & his beautiful majestic angels are real!
