kareem I agree fully, but overstand, thats because its NOT really r&b music. Its not even neo-soul. Its soul music, which has never stopped or played out. Classifications and genres are all messed us because of corporations and the lack of culture with consumers. Bilal and say someone like Chris Brown are considered r&b, which there is a clear difference between the two. They classify Chief Keef and Killah Priest as hip hop, but they are not the same at all. They are clearly diluting our culture so its up to us, not the radio, corporations, or any outside entities, to establish what is culture and what is not. Peace

Im afraid its not enough of us to push the culture like we would want too. We are a rare breed we were back then and we are now. I have a 14 yr old niece that LOVES Bilal and other artists that 14 yr old lil black girls normally don't get into creative music, but thats mostly because her MOTHER listens to all the more soulful music (she is a singer as well named Ngina Fayola, check her out), the point is yea we are rare and there are kids 2day thats rare as well, but we as parents have to expose them to this and all other kinds of good, soulful, spirit filled music ;-)
It cloud be about the grey of not knowing where the relationship stands. I first thought it was about a deep sexual experience that made you question what percentage of purity was lost on your part.
