Poor bill he ain't a bad man he just wants attention because he never feels appreciated but every time he praised he always thankful. Until he made a new gang and basically burnt down half of new Austin
Hannibal The Cannibal Ah. It's a sharp contrast. Hosea, the one who is pretty much universally respected, and Micah, the one who is universally hated. I don't even think Dutch actually likes Micah, he just tolerates him because he sucks up to him
Bills an alcoholic mess. I feel awful for him, my great grandfather was an alcoholic and my grandma still thinks about it a lot. He never hurt her, but the alcohol just made him act differently and say stuff he never would have said if the alcohol hadn't been messing with him. My great grandfather was a good person. He loved his family, provided enough money for my entire family to grow up in the middle class, was a good husband and father. But the alcohol messed with him. Bill is an alcoholic too, and I wonder what he'd be like in the game without that beast of an addiction wrestling at him.
So, it sure isn't solid evidence, but he seems to be attracted to him. Aside from how "keen" he is on pulling Kieran's pants down to tease him with gelding, he seemed to be really nervous with trying to get him to sit and eat. It seems heavily implied that Bill is gay (or at the very least bisexual). If you read his discharge papers, it says one of the reasons he got booted was for deviancy. Also, if your Arthur gets taken advantage of by a creep in the swamps, Bill implies he knows about it and is friends with the guy.
Lol Arthur saying “ is he gonna punch that guy or kiss him” the first time I heard that I laughed for a good minute. Still even bill is better than micha any day of the week
Poor bill. His story is actually pretty sad. In the gang he is only tolerated, when he wants to be accepted. And when Arthur stands up for bill against Javier, that was probably one of the only times anyone had stood up for him like that based on his reaction.
"Hey, what's wrong, Bill? You look, uh, kinda confused, like someone asked you where the sun goes at night."..This is pure gold. I'm gonna use that one on daily life.
all these people saying bill isn’t a bad man. he picks on lenny just because he’s black, same with tilly to an extent, he terrorizes kieran who’s just trying to get by, he calls javier racial slurs just because he’s intimidated by him, and he treats the natives like brainless savages. the only reason he doesn’t pick on charles is because he’d crush him with one hand. ptsd or no, that’s no excuse to be horrible to everyone around you.
Get over it, they’re a gang of outlaws that rob and kill people and they’ve known each other a long time. They aren’t defenseless, when Bill talks shit to them they talk shit back or fight back and also they treat Bill like shit too. Everyone in the camp talk shit to each other at one point or another.
Skinny Nerd sorry my dude, i just don’t like bullies. that means bill, micah, and grimshaw to an extent. the gang is supposed to be a family, and while families don’t always get along, all those three do is drive people apart. there’s nothing to ‘get over’ here. they’re all interesting characters, i don’t lose sleep at night because bill is racist. it’s just my take :)
I was literally sick and had a sore throat so I missed school when it came out. I had been waiting for the game since it came out me being sick was some sort of miracle.
Bill was one of my favs in this game, fascinating to see his transformation from this game to the first. He’s a misunderstood (mostly) gentle giant. Him and Hosea were my two favs, after Arthur and John of course
New battle, Bill vs Arthur This battle will take place in the camp. The rules are simple, no weapons, no baby diapers, no crying in a corner, no running away. No man will run away a fight, no baby will cry for their momma.
Bill wanted respect from the gang but damn it was so hard to give him any when he could be such trash 🥴 I lost it when Javier looked at Arthur and asked him why he was always so angry 💀
Sometimes bill is just trying to make conversation, but since he's the camp idiot, everyone assumes he has bad intentions. Like with strauss, he was just genuinely taking an interest in strauss, and wondered what they eat where he comes from.
@@IndoJordy that really unsatisfying she was one of my favourites and an off screen drink death feels wrong but she cant be dead cause touncant even find her grave in game there must be something more than just tilly words
I’m kinda wondering how many people didn’t get the joke when Bill asks what they eat in Australia and Strauss replied “it’s a miracle you don’t fall over more.”😂😂😂
Bill really reminds me of myself. Between the ages of 5 - 9. I was always bigger than the other kids, most kids were scared of me, and a couple times I practically bullied kids that I thought were "cool" into befriending me, almost like how Bill tried to get Kieran to be his friend. People would insult me in ways that sounded like compliments to me because I didn't know the language well at the time, English isn't my first language. So other kids had several "inside jokes" that they pulled on me when I was around, and it was basically just them talking shit about me and I didnt get it, much in the way that several characters treat Bill and he thinks he's being complimented. Bill Williamson and the child version of me have quite a bit in common. It's weird.
I just love Bill's laugh, I also pity him tbh, he is a good man at heard, he is just lonely, he's not that bright and that pushes people away sometimes, and both lack of affection and direction drove him to then become who he was in the first game.
