I'm almost 80 and I spent a lot of hours on 52 model M. Seems like I remember a swinging drawbar. What I see on there is different... and those Heat Housers were a big help in cold weather. A big help. She sure is purrin ain't she...
55yrs ago that was me about 2 miles straight east.of where you are plowing. Was driving a super M with a heat houser and an M&W 9 speed that Harold put in. Those were such good memories! Love all your videos. Hope you keep them coming 👍. Now you must know who I am,Bill 👍👍👏👏
I don’t recall all the “specs” but Dads 51 Case DC was “warmed up” a bit. Taller pistons, premium fuel, advance curve in distributor, hot plugs. All totaled up I recall it made 56 HP at drawbar on a M&W dynomometer . He caught me pulling 3 16’s in 3rd gear one nite after school , made it plane that I wasn’t to throw soil outta the furrow like that! I reckon I should of kept my eyes open
@@kylekenan2321 That is about the speed we plowed with my dad's Super W6 with M&W high compression pistons and sleeves. He set the governor speed up to around 1650 rpm. We pulled 4x16 in 3rd gear.
That the M has proven reliable, examples of the MD (diesel) would be to the point. Even in '22, We have an example of a large farm that utilizes M's, with duals exclusively. A few uses Minneapolis Moline U's and UB's.Quality doesn't die easily.
