@@aimeedavison1 Answer: NO, whammyn aren't funny! Less so when they try hard to be. If you have to ask if whammyn are funny, you know yourself you aren't funny. You yourself are very much aware how unfunny you are, but you still try to pluck/steal/grab some validation from a man, in this case, a very famous man. Of course he said yes. He's a public figure. He has no choice, but to say yes. Whammyn are horrendous when it comes to comedy, among other things.
Exactly his spitting facts females nowadays are the definition of passengers remember I’m not slagging females of I’m just saying that behaviour are weak
She’s a woman who insists she determines her future, yet seeks validation that the male critics (if they even exist) are wrong. She defines herself according to perceived exterior perceptions.
I like the overall message, If you like to do comedy, do comedy, don't sit around waiting for someone to tell you that you can or you can't, keep going at it with as much fun and spirit as you have and trust that the response will come when you are funny enough
aimeedavison1 He's not talking to you, you are the one NOT doing comedy, you are the one sitting around waiting (and complaining) for someone to tell you that you can/can't! You can't be a whining feminazi AND then try to be celebrated for something an REAL comedian said! In this interview, you are the whiny complaining feminazi and you are getting schooled by a real man. Suck it bitch! Own your own fucking words!
aimeedavison1 Pointing out the obviousness of your lies is not "hating"! It's called observing, it's called "truth". What you are doing is called whining/complaining/denying. Keep trying to shift your way out of how wrong you are, it's hilarious. Just remember, we aren't laughing WITH you, we are laughing AT YOU! :-) You aren't a comedienne, you are a failure.
Julius Fawcett Sometimes a person (like this interviewer) says something that either isn't true, or is contradictory. In that case, it's HER WORDS, not mine that are being criticized here. She slanders males in her comments while spouting feminazi lies about women being so-called "victims". That isn't "self criticism" nor is it "projection". I didn't invent logic dude! This chick got called on her bullshit and I find that amusing. I'm not "projecting" I'm OBSERVING her fail! :-) I might also ask, then who are YOU criticizing and what are YOU projecting here?
15:00 seconds - The moment she thinks Bill is about to lay some smack down on dudes 19:00 seconds - The moment she finally realises Bill is currently smacking her down
I love the way the interviewer's tone was so loaded when she asked "can women be funny?", like Bill was automatically a sexist and was going to have to squirm to answer it, but he just looked at her confused and was like "of course..." Yeah, women can be funny, but whiny, preachy, aggressive people with a chronic victim mentality tend to be the antithesis of funny. Doesn't matter what dangly bits you got.
@@lightup6751 Funny thing is from bills perspective hes heard way more horrible/brutal criticism from his comic friends. If you are a comedian willing to throw out the jokes, you gotta be willing to be the butt of the joke.
@@SevenPr1me Of course. Because women in history were also unequally more oppressed than men. Everything is derived from sth. Women dont have complaining in their DNA. Same goes for men. Its senseless to try to categorize anyone from a gender as a single characteristic. That type of mind set stays stuck in the past and shuts down communication for improvement
You know what's not funny? Requiring validation from others while still maintaining that you're independent. This self victimisation thing is getting tedious. You can either be equal and not request people's permission to be regarded as funny, or you can require validation. Not both; the two are mutually exclusive.
btw that's what capitalist enterprise is actually ... -> claiming to be financially independent, when you actually need a lot of validation from your customers. So maybe this is not contradictory... maybe it is ... i'm not sure
Not really, most companies that are not entertainment, are not trying to get validation from its consumers . They’re providing a service, whether it’s the food, cleaning, construction industry. They know most people will either buy from them or not, that’s how capitalism works. But judging by your channel I would say you are probably a leftist, socialist, which is not bad but you’re bringing politics talk into something completely unrelated.
The problem is that no one is requesting validation. People just automatically say "women are not funny" like women need their approval to do anything.
@@mmmanutd The interviewer claim that these men are angry when in fact its what you would commonly call 'BUSTING YOUR BALLS'. If you heard the stories of Bill and patrice's comedic circle you would know that they would be brutal to one another, especially if they bombed in front of each other. The interviewer doesnt understand what it takes to be a comedian. If you are willing to dish out jokes you gotta be willing to be the butt of the joke. Thats why bill is already done with the interviewers question. Face adversity, become undeniable. Stop taking comments so personal.
armynet191 who ruined anything? I was just telling him of a funny female comedian cuz at one point I didn't know of any, so it was just a good seuggestion to a Bill Burr fan like myself The joke still stands as it is, and I didn't even hate on it
what the fuck is she looking into the camera for and nodding? She obviously is not on the same page as he is, can't she even look him in the eye? Poor Bill.
+Richard Lloyd (TheGuyAlwaysOnTime) I knew what I was doing. This interview was originally slated for a funny montage of many comedians answering the same question. RU-vidrs acknowledge their audiences. This is not my main channel. I get featured all over the press. You also don't wind up interviewing Burr or anyone A-list without having accomplished something credible or notable in media.
+My main channel is called LOLPervs it wasn't provocative at all. whatever you were trying to do, as a joke even, it came across as if it was you who believed what you were actually saying. and no, you're not invited to the boys club just because you want to be cute with it. you're a girl.
After Bill responded to you on the question, you stumbled on your words, then justified by saying how angry young men can't get your question correct. You are just another plain Jane feminist who despise males, which this video proves right. I don't care if you still have issues with your Dad, ex-whoever, or some random jerk that made you FEEL uncomfortable.
@@konnorrockkonnoisseur4970 Her whole point was that there's plenty of dudes who say women aren't funny, which sort of implies why it's so hard for women to gain popularity because men tend to gatekeep comedy. And look at this comment section. Like she said, plenty of dudes saying women aren't funny. The OP is one example.
@@aabracadavra because they aren't funny simple as that . because if woman were funny as bill Barr or other comedians then no one in this comment section would have said bad words toward woman . even bill said if woman are funny enough then their show will work and one day people will appreciate their work. But it doesn't happen because most people don't find womans jokes funny. exceptions are SNL female comedians but not amy Schumer or Sarah silverman. They r not funny enough to be at the level of bill.
As I stated elsewhere in the comments, I asked Bill a provocative question and he took it in a different direction and then gave a motivational answer. He was not insulting me personally, but giving a no-nonsense response. When I said during the interview, "Absolutely, I am an entrepreneur. I am a web person" it was because I was telling him that I was not the type of person who makes excuses but rather the sort that knows they need to start things for themselves to make things happen, regardless of gender. I even agree with him again at the end before he concludes. He was not owning me, but dispensing the great advice that in entertainment we all need to become undeniable.
@A. G. yeah ik right. Gender doesn't decide how funny u are. That's like saying Color decides if your a slave or not. Same fucking concept these dumb fucks can't get through their head
I repeat: I understood EXACTLY what Burr was saying. As I state elsewhere in this comment section, Burr acknowledged that women can be funny and that women (and men too!) need to stop making excuses for their lack of success in comedy. He advised to become undeniable. I asked Burr a provocative question and he gave a very motivational answer. Thanks, Bill!
The bravery of asking a comedian a stupid question is insane, and Bill Burr of all comedians. "I understood EXACTLY what Burr was saying" thank god you understand English
"and men too!" Don't drag us into this. We're not calling ourselves independent and looking for validation at the same time. That was a stupid question and you're lucky Bill was in a good mood.... when the "Me Too" movement contradicted the "Do You" movement lol "I'm going to do me but make sure you don't forget to be conscious of what I want in life"
Men have a greater impetus to be funny. A man can be funny and get laid, ergo a biological motivation. Women . . .? Sorry ladies but if you're ugly, it doesn't matter to us if you're funny. Harsh, but true. I can't fap to personality.
Charles Shell If you only care about looks that's cool, but you don't speak for all men. There are many "ugly" women who attract guys with their personality and are in relationships. Not everyone is shallow like you, sorry.
Charles Shell Some people can. Have you ever heard of sapiosexuals? They fap to intelligence. If all you're looking for is to fap, then focus on looks all you want. Just don't generalize. Many people value more meaningful traits.
Davison Interviews Comics please stop it, wake up and stop being so fake... it is hard to watch.... and yeah, you did say white person, trying to cover that up when its on tape just proves how fake and useless you are.... come on now, you got brains in there right?=)
It's hard to tell If someone is a real geek (this is defined by your knowledge) and since nobody is going to test them on a regular basis they just identify as fans and its impossible to denie that someone is a fan. That's how we got "real" fan's and the imposers...funny thing is many imposers don't even realise it.
That wasn' the type of answer she expected and hoped for - yeah, women as super funny, actually way more then men!... Instead he told women to move their asses and prove they have the guts and the brain to stand before an audience. A feminist nightmare.
I think I have concluded that if I were to have one last drink on this Earth, it'd be with Bill Burr...this guy says everything that has been on my mind for decades
I think the issue is misguided. Comedy doesn't come from your genitalia; it comes from your mind, your personality and your creativity. Comedy isn't specific to one gender. I have met plenty of stick-in-the-mud dudes who couldn't crack a smile if their lives depended on it (cough, cough, Nick Saban). The key is to develop your personality.
That was awesome. I wish I could speak to Bill for even a minute. I don't understand the controversy in the comments section other than "it's youtube" and I don't give a shit. Great little mini-interview.
Comedy is funny when you can relate to it. I was watching a female comedian with a few friends (some guys and some girls), and the comedian did a bit on her period that made my female friends laugh their heads off. I couldn't relate to the joke, so I didn't laugh, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't funny.
I like comedians like Tina Fey, because she is genius and can generate laughs, whereas comedians like Amy Schumer are all around not funny and a joke theif
Took a moment but I'm sure she did say "Web Person" But she said that shit so fast it came out as "White Person" Had to play that back a couple of times just to make sure. That totally caught me off guard when I heard it
+My main channel is LOLPervs (Davison) Where's your other stuff, I see the couple questions you asked people and then there is nothing else on your channel.
If a man sucks at something he blames himself and works on getting better or he tries to find something else to do. But whenever a woman sucks she blames men for not laughing at her jokes, for not watching her play soccer, for paying her less money, for finding her unattractive if she is fat and doesn't shave her hair .... the list of complaints is endless but they have always the same basic ground which is: "It is your fault if I suck."
@@SmallFaerie Rayan was almost right, he is almost there. What I think Rayan was on the surface of was that, women do not handle suffering and lack of confidence the same ways. Women in our society are allowed to cry, feel sorry for themselves and generally be meek and timid when upset. If a man exhibits those behaviors while sad, he is generally told to "Man up", sad but true. So to combat their suffering and lack of confidence men develop a strong and dark sense of humor, they learn to laugh at their own pain and release that pinned up angst in the form of comedy since generally they can cry or be seen as "weak". Obviously in some families and societies this is not true but in general Western society this is true. So in turn women do have as much suffering and lack of confidence as men do, BUT they typically are able to deal with it in a very healthy way, they are allowed to release it emotionally and allow themselves to be vulnerable, men are frowned upon if they do that and turn suffering into comedy, which as it turns out self deprecation and dark senses of humor translate into REALLY funny comedy.
My main channel is LOLPervs (Davison) But you asked Bill this question BEFORE this was posted. Like I said, history shows that women can absolutely be funny. Lucy, for example, was one of the funniest PEOPLE ever, not just one of the funniest women. And that tears it right there.
+Black Death 1347 hah! Now that shit made me laugh right there. Men are just infinitely funnier than women across all races and backgrounds. All women can do is recite the overly sexualised cringeworthy one liners their writers came up with.
who cares about what those idiots think? why would you let it get to you to such a point that you ask Bill burr that lame question? of course women can be funny. nobody in their right mind would think otherwise.
This is unbelievably fucking based advice for ANYONE wanting to make it in the entertainment industry, not just women. Assemble your crew, do your thing, and fuck anybody who says you can't. Good advice usually is universal. It's sad the identitarians want a world without that.
Link? I've listened to several hours of Patrice, but cannot recall his take on this. Unless it was about Kathleen - "she's funny-ISH, she's hot-ISH..."
