We really do. Late night network tv has spun down the toilet since Craig left. He was the last bastion after Leno and Letterman retired, and Conan had moved on to cable. Craig would never come back though... as good as he was with it, he hated it. He just wanted to get back to being a comedian free to do whatever projects he wanted to, and whenever.

Now you have Kimmel and Colbert doing their best Dick Cavett impressions five night a week and Fallon seemingly holding the Carson torch. Every time I watch Kimmel, the only reason I forget it’s not Rachel Maddow is that she has more humor and facial hair than he does.
