Bill Maher certainly isn’t that smart. Even though he has some good points, they are drowned out by his own incompetency and inability to hold a conversation without interrupting the guest.
@@Hopster1 Bill Maher is waaaaaaaaaay more of a tool than those two you mentioned. They're not even close to his level, Maher might just be the biggest blowhard I've ever come across on a podcast. I wish him well
@@marinchihwai7248 you know this as a fact because you followed his 30 something year career since its beggining and you just know hin that well "chihwai"? A lot of yall are way too comfortable commenting on people's careers and personal life like that
I’m genuinely curious how often Bill Maher has said that, because there are a lot of people, including people I very much dislike, who have admitted to their own faults more than he ever has.
@@antlerbraum2881 Not often. I've always thought Bill beneath it all is very insecure.Imagine how insufferable he'd be if he didn't smoke pot. Doesn't bear thinking about, oh I just did.
I love that joke because it implies that Bill Burr purposely looked up things that Bill Maher is older than after Maher got annoyed that Burr referred to him as an older generation when they were on his podcast .
@@TTony-tu6dm general managers don't have to relate to sports. any store or establishment can have a GM, like restaurants and retail clothing stores for example. I know the OP is about sports, but I don't want the person who didn't know waht a GM is to think it's a sport term since it's not.
I know he wouldn’t have subjected himself to it, but if Norm were still alive, I would’ve love to have seen him on this show (which I’m not even going to type out, because Maher’s podcast name is so stupid), doing his dumb guy shtick while dismantling Maher on such a subdued and cerebral level that Maher doesn’t even known that he’s getting destroyed
He called him out for being a atheist and making atheist jokes not for not being funny. He is funny is obv is norm but his opinion was just his opinion was bc he was religious and you can’t blame him
@@patrickmorgan4006 and they had hoped to get it on shelves for christmas that year, but production issues meant it didn't become available to consumers until February of 1959 ;)
To be fair, that one is taken out of context. He basically commended him for doing what he wants in life and not just having kids because others think that one should have kids, and ending up not being a good father.
If you watch the entire thing Burr just takes swipes while Maher (slowly and very stoned) is trying to explain his position. I've watched the entire interview and Burr never even makes a point. Finally he just says he just supports whatever kids support, which is pretty lame honestly.
Thankfully, too, because the full episode was a little slow. These zingers were few and far between. Especially when you consider this is 4 minutes long and the full podcast is an hour long.
@@kurtwicklund8901people like to compare Dennis to Bill Maher. But good lord, Dennis is just an old man ranting majority of the time. Bill is an infantile Child at the age of 60 spouting nonsense and bullshit.
WOW 😂😂😂 Bill Burr is the f***ing man. This made my week. Finally someone telling Bill Maher to his face how most of us feel about him. Only Bill Burr. Best comic of our generation.
I initially didn't wanna click on this video because as much as I wanted to hear Bill Burr "manhandle" Bill Maher, I didn't wanna hear Maher's stupid voice at all. big thumbs up to you for keeping only the Burr bits
DUDE exactly the same for me. I absolutely detest bill maher and this video was exactly what i dreamed it would be. Bill burr did absolutely DISMANTLE him though. I mean as blunt as he could possibly be
🤦🏼♂️ putting someone through a wall IS manhandling them. Out of all the ways you could have ended that statement, you chose one to contradict yourself 😂. Burr didn’t manhandle him, he manhandled him. Great statement bud 👍🏼
@@theshape3431Have you never heard someone exaggerate in this way before? "He didn't punch the guy, he removed the head from his shoulders." Stop being so pedantic.
Bill Burr is a card holding liberal of Hollywood that spews propaganda of the left wing and is a bought and paid for shill. He’ll be on any time he wants. Bill Maher doesn’t call the shots.
You realize that they're actually cool with each other and enjoy each other's presence right? Bill Burr even made a joke they should be on a tv show together because their dynamic works like Walter White and Jessie Pinkman. That was done in good fun. There was even a joke that Burr is making fun of Maher's outfit because it's a challenge, it's just a normal boring outfit with nothing going on.
@@jaxmiller724 Watching enough of Bil Burr, you get the sense when he's pissed or annoyed vs just joking. And jokes are his weapon of choice. He definitely put flip-flopping Maher in his place.
@@elishmuel1976 I've watched Bill Burr, I also watched this interview, he wasn't actually annoyed. He just roasts people all the time, do you think he's actually made at Joe Rogan when he makes fun of him? Bill Maher made fun of him back plenty and he never took it personally.
I'll give Maher a little credit for laughing at nearly all of these roasts (I watched the podcast), but the main takeaway is that Burr called out how undeservedly arrogant and self-important Maher is.
Thats what happens when you dont have anyone in your life to humble you. You have no accountability and a platform to make your opinions know and all of a sudden you think you are an enlightened genius
@@absolutelysobeastexactly. I feel like most people don't even think about Maher or that show but the ones who do are diehard about it bc they need some overconfident loudmouth to tell them what to think about complex issues. So all Maher sees are his supportive (and simple minded) fans which gives him confidence. Now that other people are now hearing about him through Burr and Norm back in the day, he is getting it handed to him. He doesn't know how to handle it. He thinks he's Jon Stewart or something but he's neither funny or smart enough to make nuanced points that actual informed people take credence to.
@@UltrajamzDoes Maher even go after Republicans anymore? Every time I've seen him he's going on and on about "wokeness". Plus Burr is way more left wing than Maher.
It was all nervous laughter, because not so deep down inside he knew Burr was telling it exactly like it is and that's rare. Maher mostly surrounds himself with sycophants.
Saw his show one time yrs ago and never thought or watched him again bc he seemed like an unfunny douchebag version of the daily show. Little did I know there were a bunch of dummies who actually watch this idiot's show
@@kooale he definitely dressed how people from his time dressed. idk what that second part is he'd ambush people all the time. he'd be brought out unexpectedly on Carson.
From an aging man of considerable wealth who appeared before a global camera dressed in the style of every average teenage boy in America. Otherwise, a fan.
Honestly after I heard Bill refused to not smoke or drink in front of Steve-O who’s been sober for hella years I’m glad to see someone finally put Bill in his place
That's what Bill does in Club Random. That's like saying 'I want to be on Jackass, but I can't see any stunts." I personally don't drink or drug anymore either but I don't care if other people do it.
@daveclark8337 lame excuse. He asked Mike Tyson on his hotboxin' podcast if they could go drug free and he was more than accommodating to his guest... on a podcast literally built around Marijuana!!! Other podcasts have avoided drinking and smoking to have steve-o on as well. It's called being a good host. Bill Mahr only cares about himself, and to not put down the joint for a few hours for a guest shows his level of arrogance.
No. Maher's head is completely up his own arse. Burr was right, he's not smart its just obscure trivia that Maher throws out along with big words he memorized
Except he was genuinely laughing. Not sure why so many find Mahar so upsetting. I guess they need SOMEBODY to be the bad guy they can't stand ( but still watch anyway).
@@larscincaid6348 Victims need a bad guy and victimizer. Maher has openly said he's tired of the left's victim mentality. Burr is married to a black woman and so has taken on the mantle of SJW on her and his children's behalf. He's still funny but he's not correct on many, many issues he decides to talk about. The hilarity of a lot of these comments from right wingers thinking Burr is doing them a favor is great.
As a person who has intently followed standup comedy since the late 70s, I can't remember Bill Maher ever making me laugh. Burr on the other hand is an absolute Rushmore talent and fatherhood sits well with him. Good on you there, ol' Billy red pubes
burned him so much Maher was like a bacon strip 20 minutes after it was already overcooked. Richly deserved and a long time coming to Maher and a big " way to go " to the only Bill with balls here... the one named Burr
Loved, loved, LOVED this session. It was so quick, so deft, so entertaining. Half the time Burr was so funny, you hardly have a chance to get offended, let alone stop for a second only to realize he’s insulting you. What’s there not to love about Burr? So funny! Think I’ll watch it again.
